All the food at Applebee's is tooooo salty and the salsa is not at all hot. The margaritas are the only thing good there

Not vegetarian friendly. You either have to order side dishes or get what's on the menu, minus meat and still pay full price. Used to have a great choice of vegetarian dishes, but no longer. My wife is vegetarian so she cannot get a meal there. Will not be back. Would not give any stars, but Yelp forces me to. read more

This evening (Mother's Day) I chose to order take out after working in my own restaurant job all morning because what mom really wants to cook on Mother's Day. Well after I arrived at the quoted time, I proceeded to wait quite a long time before being even greeted. Once the girl finally came to me she was beyond frazzled, I waited. Then I waited some more, then some more.. just after the 5th or so car that had came and gone with their orders was getting their food I asked how much longer it would be. The girl looked back and said she'd be right back. When she did come back out she had so many things in her hand, but not my food. I waited some more because I too work in restaurants and can visibly see how busy she is. After 40 minutes of waiting I finally went inside and requested a manager. I expressed how unacceptable it is that she is alone on a busy day such as today, that she is clearly so frazzled, as well as that no manager came out at all to apologize for the many avoidable things. This manager made no excuses but took no ownership either! I asked for a refund, to which I was granted, but that was due to the wait, not the carry out girl. She did bring me my food as I was walking out and they told me it was okay but how was her experience at all acceptable?! The only reason I gave 3 stars is due to her. She kept cool and calm, she apologized, she busted her butt in insane circumstances. IF by some miracle that girl didn't quit tonight for the poor planning and hellish conditions she worked in, she deserves a raise! Better yet, id hire her in a heartbeat for my restaurant!! This was such poor management and planning on the restaurants part that I was implored to be one of "those people" and leave a yelp review which I almost find atrocious on my part but hey, someone needs to stand up for that saint of a girl and her thick skin!! read more

I come here nearly once a week and I am never disappointed. Their menu is full of great food for lunch and dinner. For lunch they have a great menu consisting of pairing a classic with a classic, a classic with a signature, or two signatures, all for under $10. For dinner I believe everyone knows about the 2 for $20 and the 2 for $25 menu. The mozzarella sticks are amazing and the "side salads" are more like full portions and taste great. All in all the food is great and I would recommend to anyone. read more

It's Applebee's- some people don't like their stuff. Personally- love their food, selection, and service. I eat here often- and never have a bad experience. The Beer Batter Pretzels are INCREDIBLE and the American Standard burger is a great take on the classic burger. Even when I come with large parties- they accommodate us well! read more

Applebee's is our to go to place when we don't know what to do for dinner... tonight we ordered the same thing we always do and over 40 minutes and an extended 15 minutes we finally got our food after telling our waitress we were missing a dish just to see we were missing another. Our waitress had a different girl give me my missing dish with a dirty look and snide comments from a girl who opens the door for people. We have never had such a problem and all would have been fine but with disrespect coming from an employee to a normal customer was just wrong. read more

This is my boyfriend and I's go to restaurant. He always gets the steak and I get chicken, both of which are always great and cooked perfectly. Not to mention the late night deals, which includes half off appetizers, our favorite being the boneless wings. Servers are very friendly, and we've even become pretty acquainted with a few of them, especially Josh. I would definitely recommend this location to anyone! Very nice! read more

Great commercials, made my husband take me. Big mistake. Very good waitress, tells each patron they made a great choice. Chicken fajita wasn't bad. The chicken tasted tenderized or processed. Buffalo chicken sandwich wasn't good, orange sauce was overpowering. Lots of choices on the menu. Online, each menu item is pictured. Drink specials and lunch specials were offered. The wonton tacos looked good...maybe we'll try again. read more

This Applebee's has been hit and miss. The sirloin is usually very good, but then there is the occasional hair in the potatoes or slow service. I assume it's a management problem. read more

I've been a regular client at the Whit Lk Applebee's for a number of years. Usually the service and food are excellent. But,sad to say that changed on our recent visit. The service was rather poor and the food was awful. My server forgot what we had even ordered. I hope the manager will make some drastic changes and fast. read more

Although we have visited this location many times I can't help but feel the need to share my extreme disappointment with our most recent visit. Today is January 5th. Five days into their most recent drink of the month promotion. A promotion that I was actually excited about because it was a drink that I actually like! When we sat down someone came to our table and asked if they could start is off with something to drink. Without hesitation I said that I wanted the Captain and Coke only to be told that they were out of Captain Morgan. Excuse me?! It's 12:30 on January 5th and you're already out?! Not only are they out of Captain but they didn't even bother to offer something else at the promotional price!!! Then when someone else showed up at our table we were told that the original person to come to the table was the manager!!!! DONE!!! It's too bad too because the server was great and we've never been disappointment with the food. But to be out of your promotional cocktail 5 days into the month and to do absolutely NOTHING to make your customer happy is unacceptable. Keep in mind that I was not only visably annoyed but I actually told the manager that the only reason we came in was for the promotion and to do nothing is not okay. There's another Applebee's not far from home. We'll be going there from now on. read more

DISGUSTING !!!!! went there on a Sunday night (08/21/17 @ 9:00pm)they were not busy. App's took 25 min to come out / dinner took 1 hr to come out. Beside the wait the food presentation subpar. When the food did finally arrive to our table, the steak was NOT on a sizzling skillet (as the menu said) the grilled(burnt)mixed veggie were covered in a lemon sauce(??) which is NOT mentioned on the menu that your "grilled veggies will be swimming n lemon sauce. And evey single person at out table had FILTHY, FOOD STILL STUCK ON PLATES from prev guests, not only could you feel it you could VISABLE SEE IT !!! ON every dinner plate !! Silverware was filthy. This such a good spot for lunch. Their menu has three levels and many choices. I had French onion soup some of the best I have had lots of taste. Half sandwich grilled club like a regular club but on Texas toast that is grilled and has barbecue sauce and cheese very good. Husband same sandwich but with oriental chicken salad good dressing and good chicken he loved it. Service is always great. And if you have room for dessert try the brownies with ice cream. read more

The one in Auburn Hills has such poor service, notto mention the stray hairs one might find in their meals. It's a bit of a drive, but I'll always pick this location. read more

Several bad experiences here. It's obvious that the microwave is the hardest working cook in their kitchen. Plates are overly hot and food is barely warm. Pasta is dry, steaks are over cooked with no flavor. Waitresses are rude. But they have $5 long islands and margaritas so I guess that's a plus. read more

Our White Lake Applebees was our wonderful restaurant 2 miles away. We were there at least twice a week and weekly after our golf league. Our servers and bartenders were our friends and the kitchen manager, manager. Always greeted and with hugs. Food out immediately, always hot, as pictured. Always wonderful!! Until....Waterford Applebees closed. Our White Lake servers hours were cut to accomodate the Waterford staff. Not enough hours so our staff left. They moved our beloved kitchen manager to Dearborn. Huge mistake!! We have been there 3 times since. The first time the woman sitting next to us had her food delivered it was burnt and cold. Not as pictured. Took 10 minutes to get staff to return to take back. Next 2 times food delivered at different times, cold. Last visit a lazy waitress could not be bothered to remove empty bottles, glasses, plates until asked to. She just could not pick them up as she breezed by. People at the next table did not get food ordered and was delivered at different times. Applebee's Management made a major mistake, You have ruined a community restaurant. Please consider bringing back our reassigned kitchen manager. She was great and could teach the new manager and staff how to run a restaurant and cook/deliver orders. Our neighborhood is looking for a new restaurant to frequent. The Waterford staff needs to be retrained and disciplined. Such shame..... read more

Inept staff got order wrong for the second visit in a row and arrogant and uninterested management. They're very aware that pickings are slim in white lake and they don't have to deliver much on customer service or quality to keep a customer base. Car pick up to go is as bad or worse - last time (and I do mean last!) they kept me waiting 35 minutes (no lie) past my pick up time. Would have left but was already paid for via the web ordering website. Won't ever go back - three strikes is generous if you ask me! read more

Applebee's is becoming one of my favorite places to hit up after 9 PM due to their half off appetizers. An order of Boneless Wings or a Quesadilla for 4-5 bucks! Can't beat it! Their wings are pretty good, and their quesadilla is phenomenal! That being said, while I am a fan of their appetizers, I am not a huge fan of their entrees. Their ribs are terrible and dry, their steak was terrible as well (felt like ground beef...I love a tender steak, but it was disgusting!). They have a great Alfredo sauce, but their cooks don't know how to cook noodles (they are extremely overdone, and I am very picky on needing my noodles "Al Dente"). Their "Chicken Fajita Roll Up" however is excellent. So - why do I give three stars? As there are some things (like Quesadilla's) that Applebee's does very well. And I am thrilled that I can get their awesome Quesadilla's for just 4 or 5 dollars any night after 9 PM. That being said, I'd stay away from the majority of their menu...lol read more

Predictabley average. When you want an average meal, go here. The drinks are awfully sweet, formulated by corporate, but you can get by asking for half the normal sugar or sour mix. read more

Our go-to place on Monday nights. Military discount (30% on Monday's, 10% all other days) was the initial draw, but now we come back for the experience. Amanda is our server and she makes the evening. Professional, friendly, attentive, if Applebee's has a Training Program for waitstaff, Amanda should be the example they would want to emulate. Menu is rotated frequently, sadly, some very popular items (fajitas, spinach bacon strawberry salad, sweet potato french fries, baked potatoes, Blazing Texan Burger) disappear periodically. Food is consistent in quality, serving sizes and temperature. Specials (2 for $20.00 menu, with an appetizer, Happy Hour Appetizers and drink prices before 6:00 PM) add to the dining value. OK...it's a chain....I get it...but......compared to other local offerings, they have better seating, prices, serving sizes, bar offerings and specials. Add Amanda to the equation and it will remain a often visited establishment. read more

My family and I love to eat here. We typically go on the weekend and the wait isn't that bad. I sometimes go on a girls night or couples night and they are always accommodating for our large groups. The only problem we have been having is; the last three times we went, our orders have been messed up and our appetizers come right before our meal. I think the problem is that some of the wait staff refuses to write down orders. I get it, you get busy and it's hard to remember everything, so write it down. It is never fun when you are sitting at the table waiting for your food to be recooked due to the waitresses mistake. Two times ago that we came, I had to remind the waitress about the appetizer, it was clearly forgotten. It came out about two minutes before the dinner and they weren't even busy. On a positive note the staff is typically very apologetic and friendly. The food is good enough to keep us coming back. PLEASE START WRITING DOWN THE ORDERS! read more

We keep trying, but no luck! When is this restaurant going to get it together? I used to go to this restaurant at least three times a week, and the service was professional and great! Wow, what a change over the past six months. We keep trying, but are always disappointed by the lack of service and unprofessional staff. Walked in, finally was seated and waited 10 minutes for someone to acknowledge and know that we were there. The employees were more interested in talking amongst each other then concerned about customers! The employees, when not working the other night were sitting up at the bar sipping cocktails out of the kiddie cups. The employees that were working were talking to the off duty employees at the bar drinking. And when we cashed out, our waitress was eating chips from the spinach dip at the bar with the off duty employees! The new manager obviously oblivious to what was going on as she was having a personal conversation almost the entire time we were there with another female employee!
