What the actual F*Ck is wrong with Applebees? Every time we go into this specific location, it's half empty, all the tables are dirty, and everything takes FOREVER. We waited 15 minutes to be sat, while staring at half a restaurant of empty tables. Waited 15 minutes for waters, 30 minutes for a rum bucket, and gave up waiting for food after 45 minutes. Why is it that mediocre food equals mediocre service? I go to Applebees knowing that the food is mid, but at least expecting to get a half decent experience. If I could give 0 stars I would. We were told it would be a 15 minute wait to be seated despite multiple open tables. They did end up seating us within a few minutes, (in the same tables that were open the entire time) however we sat at the table for nearly 45 minutes without so much as a word from any wait staff. They gave us menus and never came back. The people that were seated within a minute or so before us were almost finished with their meal before we were even spoken to. The worst dining experience I have ever had. No one took our order for 20 minutes, no drinks, nothing. The manager came by and toss our table around to all their incompetent staff. The food was uneditable. Cold beer cheese, stale chips, cold Alfredo sauce, cold cheeseburger, no bread with the cold sorry pasta. It took another 30 minutes to get our drinks. The discount for the terrible experience was 1.00. This is absolutely unacceptable. The waitress was Alexus, she was the worst waitress & chewed gum while she waited our table.Guess they don't follow health guidelines either. The whole restaurant was absolutely disgusting, and the silverware was dirty, on top of dirty glasses. And the booths smelled like urine. Absolutely HORRIBLE poor experience, this place needs to be shut down. The managers would not even come back and talk to us to fix our bill. The waiter/bartender John M, is the rudest most obnoxious person and should not be serving in anyone's restaurant. It all started with his training approach to a new colleague who he (John) with a full bar of people felt it was necessary to scold and embarrass the trainee. Then I requested a to go order which arrived almost simultaneously as my appetizer. I asked for the order to be put back to stay warm while I finished my appetizer which took 45 mins to arrive. When I looked over to see that my food never made it to the back it was sitting on a cooler in the bar area. When I asked if that was my order sitting there he got very vocal and rude, going back and forth with me in a tone that definitely does not depict customer service. Brought a hungry family for dinner. Place was not crowded, but seemed dysfunctional. We asked for silverware and napkins TWICE. Even after our food was brought out, still NO silverware and napkins. Finally our waiter comes and apologizes and says they're really busy. Ha! Our side of the restaurant had about six tables occupied and the other side two. 10 minutes later he finally takes our drink order consisting of 5 sodas, 1 iced tea, 2 waters , 2 draft beers, 2 margaritas and 1 appetizer. 10 minutes later he apologizes again for the wait and says he will bring us free chips and salsa. A few minutes later someone else brings us two little plates with chips and about a quarter cup of salsa, FOR 10 people! and still no drinks! We waited a while longer and said enough. By then we had been there for about 45-50 minutes. We asked for the manager. He came out a few minutes later and we complained and said we were just going to leave (we still had no drinks) and he said "Whatever, do want you want" and turned around and walked away. ( Real professional dude!) So we left! and will never go back again *** on a side note, the booth across from us had nothing when we were seated. Just had lunch there today after they re-opened about a month ago. It was what I expected from Applebees. 2 couples had 2 of the 2 for $24 with everything from chicken to steak to ribs to shrimp. I have to say the customer service is still lacking after this many years. We got sat into the very back corner and no one ever came to take care of us. One server made eye contact but that was it. The place was not busy at all, Sunday night, @ 8:15pm. From the looks of all the tables we passed they must have been busy at one point. The tables and floor were dirty, trash under every single table, dirty dishes or food on tables. Guessing that's why we got sat in the very back. I went to Applebees with some friends to celebrate a birthday. We were not greeted and had to flag someone down. We ended up seating ourselves as they told us to pick a high top table. We were not handed menus, silverware, or anything else. Throughout our dinner, it took 20 minutes to order food, 15 minutes to receive drinks from the bar, and the food was terrible. Our waitress tried her best. She had no support from management or her team. Oh! Also 4 ppl walked in after us and also werent greeted or sat. They left of course. Would rate this a zero if I could. By far the most terrible service I have ever received. Our server was nowhere to be seen after being seated. If the restaurant was busy I would understand but it was slow. Once she came around she took our order of a few alcoholic beverages and a four apps. 25 minutes go by just to be told the bar was closed--at 11:10- so we would need to order something else. We ask for waters. 20 more minutes go by before we get our food. Our order was placed incorrectly so we were told they would go correct the issue. We finally get our waters. More time passes just to be told that the kitchen was closed so they wouldn't be able to make the missing food. I waited to eat with my company just to be told they couldn't correct an issue they created. A little communication would have gone a long way. Some silverware would have been nice. I have given this Applebees several chances. I'll be honest, the food is decent and if you don't mind waiting, carry out is fine. But eating in is infuriating. No one there seems to care AT ALL about their job. Literally there could be a full staff chit-chatting in a circle for 20 minutes completely avoiding doing their job. I've actually had a server who met my eye contact several time for help and they ignored it to finish flirting with the other server. I am probably one of the most patient people when it comes to waitstaff and restaurants... I know it can be a taxing job and they deserve to be tipped well even if they are busy/slow. But here... I turn into a Karen and want to speak to a manager to see if they truly know how terrible their staff is. No one cares if it takes 20 minutes to get a menu and drink order, no one checks on you, no one cares if you want the check (we've almost walked out without paying because we waited so long), no one even gets you silverware. I've never seen such an empty place be this unhelpful. But by all means, if you don't mind going through the process of ordering 2 waters and an app + getting the check to take 2 hours, this is the place! So sad for such a nice new building. read more
