I popped in well, waiting for my flight to depart. This is a will lit establishment with plenty of TV's to view sports. I i did not care for the white weight staff - Debbie - as she rushed to bring me my receipt before I was remotely close to finishing my meal. There were many open tables. So why the rush? This was not an issue of trying to turn tables. The tip that I left should have gone to the kitchen staff, if I were to be honest. I say this as my pizza was so good!! You could tell the ingredients were fresh and the cheese pull was immaculate! It is the sole reason. I give this restaurant 3 stars. This spot is great for individuals, couples and groups as well. Dim wit is my drink of choice this go-round. They used to always make Dim-Wit with oranges, but for a few years switched to blood oranges....bleh. Let's just say an unexpected stop at the airport and Teresa from the bar at Rice City Brewery was just not what you call best customer service lady. It's mid morning by now, a full flight from MKE to LAS was diverted to Kansas do to an emergency. A full flight of people and everyone was reasonably calm. Hungry and with limited options, I picked River City Brewery over the golden arches. The food was ok for an airport bar type breakfast. Crispy bacon, scramble eggs, heavily season potatoes and toast. More than the over season potatos the downer here was the service, in particular server Teresa. It's not good to see an employee giving others employees a hard time or simply been rude. At one point I thought John Quinones will come out with the camera crew. I'll say, If I ever happen to be here again, this might be the last option to try. It's not a quiet nor peaceful ambiance. If the staff had better/nicer demeanor and more "happy" or "friendly" the total experience could have improved. There is definitely room to sore to a higher rating. read more

The staff was friendly but they can only do so much. Their only competition on this side of security are fast food and one other bar. They give you plastic utensils which doesn't fit the vibe at all. The decor and atmosphere make it feel like a nicer place than it truly is. The menu seems to have a lot of options but once the food arrives, the quality level quickly drops. They use terms like "famous" throughout the menu when it's clearly not. They also act like their fries are something special when they were as basic as frozen fries can get. I had the turkey wrap which wasn't horrible but it was anything but special. The meal held me over until I landed at my destination but I wasn't excited to be eating it. This is the only real food option in the Wichita airport, so thankfully it is decent!! I enjoyed a very nice Aviation Pale Ale and the Spicy Shrimp Tacos which were above average for airport food! Fine dining? No....but a huge step above bagged snacks from the convenience store or the two chain fast food places. Prices were not bad for the airport either - $5 for the beer and $11.99 for the tacos. The burgers and pizza looked pretty good too! Service was quick and friendly. Not a single complaint. Our server came by just enough. Recommend beers that we both liked. Pork rinds were warm when they came out. After a last minute scheduled business trip I was rushed tired and hungry. After getting through tsa which was relatively fast and easy and was delighted I had time to stop in for breakfast on such an early morning flight with options of chic filet, dunkin donuts and rivercity brewery ( which to my surprise served alcohol early in the morning) I was greeted by staff ( a bartender and server) before they were even open to come in and have a seat. I got a delicious mimosa followed by a delicious home cooked country breakfast by friendly fabulous and energic staff. They were both very welcoming and upbeat. The drinks, food and company were all top notch. Highly recommend. Don't stop at mickey d's on the way. The real stuff is on the other side of tsa! Made my day and my belly and soul happy! I try to never leave a bad review unless I feel it's necessary. We came here to eat Before our flight and it started out fine, our waitress was friendly. We never got our waters though and our waitress disappeared after awhile so I walked up to bar to ask for some water, mind you, I'm a very friendly person. Almost to a fault sometimes, and i know i was friendly with her. The bartender was so rude to me and just dismissed me. We waited 20 more minutes and I went back up to ask for water and when the bartender saw me standing there she walked away and went to the kitchen. Another waitress saw this and apologized because she saw it. I'm not asking for your 401k! Just a little water. It was unreal. You can eat here but the service may not be great. Maybe just avoid the Bar area all together. read more

Given that this was the only real sit-down option in Wichita airport, I didn't look at the Yelp reviews until afterward, and I have to say that I share the opinion of several others who were puzzled to find it had such low ratings. I was greeted by a friendly server, and after discussing the menu options with her--and asking for her honest opinion of what sort of things they did best--I ended up with the Memphis Burger, which was a substantial (half-pound) burger with bacon, cheddar, fried onion and BBQ sauce. While it was probably somewhere between medium and medium rare (I'd asked for medium rare), that was fine, and this was a tasty burger (the BBQ sauce was pretty yummy), and I enjoyed each bite. They didn't skimp on the bacon, and what's more, it was nice and crisp. I didn't even realize I could sub out the fries for a salad, but my server made sure I knew that was an option (and it was only an extra dollar to do it)--and so I did. While the salad wasn't anything special--especially being a veteran of LA farmers' markets--once I figured out that the balsamic vinaigrette needed a good stir, it was at least much more flavorful. Put it all together and you have reasonable prices, friendly and prompt service, and solid food. For an airport restaurant--particularly at a small airport--that makes me a fan. As a p.s., one note to management: if you can, please switch to real silverware if you're allowed. Yeah, I get that someone then has to wash it, but it's far more durable, easier to use, and more environmentally friendly. read more

So disappointed! We ordered the pretzel from the appetizer menu. The pretzel tasted amazing and so did cheese! My husband, 5 year old and 2 year old split the pretzel but unfortunately once we got to the end of the pretzel I noticed mold on the bottom. My background is Public Health so I am very familiar with what mold looks like. I also know mold is natural and sometimes is not preventable! So I kindly told an employee by the host stand (away from any customers) about the mold so that hopefully they could check the rest and not serve them to anyone else. The employee claimed he was grabbing a manager but after 15 min no one ever came. The employee was clearly annoyed with me. I'm just disappointed that I was trying to help and make sure no more moldy pretzels were served to anyone else and all I got in return was attitude. read more

I wasn't feeling fast food, so I decided to grab lunch here before my flight. I had 50 minutes before boarding and took a risk with time. There's no sign about how to be seated, so I kind of waited awkwardly at the front entrance waiting to find a staff member. I eventually just walked forwards the back and sat down. I was quickly greeted by a waiter and handed a menu. I had ordered and received my drink, side salad, and brewben sandwich within 10 minutes of sitting. Wow! The side salad was fair for $2.19, but it would've been nice if they chopped the bracelets of onion and pucks of crouton down a bit. The plasticware you're provided doesn't do much (I ended up snapping the fork in half lol). The brewben was average, and the bread was soggy. It could've definitely used a more thorough toast. The fries...yes, those dear fries. They're so good!!!! Almost twice fried-like, I ate every single last one. I'd eat here again in a jiffy. Just make sure you're pretty quick to order and interact with the waitstaff so you don't get delayed. We were in no rush, so it wasn't an issue for us, and she was super sweet and apologetic when she was helping us. Our drinks never went empty, and she was running her tail off.
