This dealership is very good at convincing clients to upgrade but when it comes to closing your old account they take their time transmitting the payment to Nissan Finance. So much so that you get deducted another payment for a car you already returned. A manager will promise you that they will help you with the refund but does nothing. It's more than a month since I returned the car and my refund is no where in sight. When it comes to problems like this, they love to come up with promises and excuses meanwhile you're scrambling to make up for the amount they deducted. And right now they are ghosting me, nice! read more

It could have been a 5-start rating More than 4 years ago I bought a Nissan Kicks at Applewood Richmond, was very pleased with the sales experience and as such left a 5-star Google rating. The experience with the maintenance team over the years also would have been worth a 5-star review due to their professional service. Now I sold my Kicks back to Applewood (not as a trade-in). The sales experience with Sam Yahyavi went well, the only hiccup at that time was that Applewood would not hand me a cheque for the funds, they offered me sending a certified cheque by mail (at the time of the Canada Post strike...) or having the funds transferred electronically (ETF). I opted for the ETF, funds, to be received within 5-7 business days. Time went by, no funds in my account. So I emailed the finance team on what happened - no response. Few days later I called Applewood and left a voicemail with sales manager Matthew Legg - no response. Another few days later - after yet another voicemail to Matthew Legg I finally got a call back from the original sales person Sam YahYavi, who promised to follow up with the finance team. But also here: no further response from the finance team. Then finally, after 13 business days the funds arrived in my account - no email/call from the finance team on what happened. The continued silence from the finance team is unexpected and completely unprofessional. I understand that a task may fall off the table, but once discovered there needs to be open communication with the client and an immediate fix. Even if Applewood transferred the funds in time and it got stuck at my bank they could have helped the research by providing the relevant transaction info. All I got was non-responsiveness - not acceptable. Beware if you sell your car to Applewood. read more

I had the worst experience ever! I am from Vancouver Island and made the effort to go to Vancouver because the dealer promised to have a car ready for me. I requested them to clean the car and include new floor mats in the deal. However, when I arrived, the car was dirty, unwashed, and they had thrown used and very dirty floor mats in the trunk of the vehicle. I felt like I wasted my time and informed them about the problem. They tried to make up for it and assigned me a new sales representative. Eventually, I ended up buying a 2021 Nissan Rogue from them. But, less than two months of driving and less than 2000 kms, I had to get my car boosted by roadside assistance. Even after getting a boost, the car is still showing a malfunction. I would never advise anyone to buy a car from this dealership. I find Noah to be pompous, arrogant, and dismissive. read more

My Acura was being repaired so I rented a brand new Nissan Maxima and visited this dealership's service department to ask for help with some of the vehicle settings. The service advisor was extremely rude & completely unhelpful, telling me I should take the car back to the rental shop to ask them for help. He also claimed that showing me how to change any vehicle settings was a liability issue for them. Absolutely ridiculous! Either he didn't know anything about the car, or he just didn't want to help me. Either way this experience was enough to make me avoid this dealership for life! read more

I had a really bad experience dealing with Applewood Nissan Richmond. I had sold my second car to their Mitsubishi dealer next door about a year ago and received good service there so I had high expectations. Applewood was charging significant fees (several thousand) over MSRP on an in-stock new vehicle, but not only that, the sales manager Noah gave us a long and very far fetched speech about how they couldn't accept cash and we had to finance because there were people trying to export Nissans or flip them. We were treated like we were dumb. It's pretty common knowledge that financing is more profitable to the dealership. He didn't have to make up this story. Left a really bad taste and we went elsewhere for our vehicle. read more

After finding out I went back the next day to the dealership, she removed the charges but decided to send my refund to Quebec instead to a local branch. For me, I would go to other Nissan Dealer. I bought a 2018 Nissan Leaf from them. They are totally wasting my time and money. Selling a car is fine for me. The salesman always wants to sell a car to get a commission. It is totally understandable. This is okay for me too as long as the sale person is nice. The worst thing is the financing person. He is totally wasting time person. He keeps selling whatever insurance and warranty. Spending almost 3 hours to get all the paperwork done. The financing person is another sale person I can say. Also, Applewood Nissan sells (charge you) that you don't know until you got the invoice. I don't need like the "NISSAN BAG" for the wheel lock - $5, etc. I didn't say I want it but they just simply let you paid for it. Also, new car wash, etc. of total $288. It is not a service when you buy a new car? I don't get it. NO. DO NOT GO TO Applewood Nissan if you want to buy a Nissan. Goto another dealer or broker. It will save you a lot of money and time. I've been driving for 32+ years now and have been to various Toyota and Volkswagen dealerships before and I've never been treated like crap like with my experience with this dealership. My car had a problem starting and they did not do everything they could to find out about what's wrong with the battery. I had to get my car jumpstarted again and go back and yell at the service advisor and service manager. Getting proper service should not be this uncomfortable and annoying and inconvenient. I went for the trade up event a couple of weeks ago. I was assisted by Justin. Even though I never agreed to a trade up and never bought anything, I recently found out my credit score on mycreditkarma.ca had dropped over 100 points from"excellent" to "very good." I was never informed by Justin or anyone else during the entire process that they would do a credit check. I've been going to the service centre at this location for over 16 years and have always received excellent service. Can't say the same for the sales department. It may take years to bring my credit score back to excellent. If I hadn't gone to this trade up event in the first place, I'd still have an excellent credit score. read more

Terrible experience where I ended up just walking out in the middle of negotiations because I realize they'd been lying to me about the financing rate of the vehicle from the very beginning without making it clear what they were charging. Went in twice to look at vehicles and was told that financing on a used vehicle was 6%. Doing paperwork they show me my sweet bi-weekly deal I'm getting without providing any additional details at to how they got to that price. I had to sit there for 2 hours trying to get them to break the pricing down for me. After my last attempt at getting them to adjust the price, the manager comes out and explains to me how I should appreciate the fact they've reduced the initial rate from 7% to 6.25% because they want my business. "Wait, what!? You guys told me twice already that it was 6% and could be lower based on my credit.... _" So my husband and I got up and walked out. I was quite frankly ashamed at myself for sitting there and listening to them trying to scam us as long as I did. Went to Southside Nissan and had an amazing experience and drove away with a new Murano later that day. Spend your money however you see fit but if you like being taken advantage of spend it at Applewood. read more

We went in to look at second hand Tesla's and weren't even thinking about buying any of them any time soon, let alone right away. The service was excellent, they didn't just dismiss us but were very friendly and helpful. Abdullah, Troy and Calvin are absolutely wonderful and they listened to us regarding our reason about the numbers. They did their best to adjust numbers to make us happy - no other dealership would compromise that much or care about our own personal reasons. We appreciate their service which didn't feel like service but friends doing each other a favour. I am surprised by the negative reviews about Applewood. I had a wonderful experience last month buying a vehicle from them. I wanted to trade in my 2010 Rogue for something newer and Aaron in sales was absolutely fabulous - very knowledgable, friendly, listened to all my concerns and wasn't pushy at all!! He was able to help me get a good deal on my Rogue and both him and the manager Jason, were very helpful with my credit and financing, so that I could leave in my brand new Pathfinder! So my family and I visited Applewood Nissan with the intention of asking questions, getting some ideas of the various options and costs etc... for a new car but was met entirely with overdrive pressure sales. It was all "Come on, let's close this deal today!" repeated at me ~3 times. When we reiterated we wanted numbers I was told the sales staff can't do that without me signing some papers first. The more adamant we became with the sales guy for needing numbers upfront with no conditions the more distracting he became and eventually brought in another sales guy to try his unique brand of persuasiveness on us. When we put our foot down he finally began writing some numbers down on paper. We asked for a photocopy of those numbers so we could review them at home he insisted he couldn't comply. Fast forward 10 minutes and he eventually wrote some sweet-sounding numbers on the back of a business card with the condition that we contact him the next day. The deal, although sounding enticing, was tricky and missing a lot of crucial details. We walked out with a dirty feeling and proceeded to an auto center that offers car purchasing/finding services and we recounted our numbers to the staff there. He was able to quickly disassemble the bad offer and what was/wasn't possible. We've all read online about our rights to walk out of a dealership when we don't get a good vibe or feel overly pressured. Well, this dealership is on another level. We came into the dealership hoping to trade in our car for a new Nissan. The manager quoted us only around $3000 for the car, which was completely unreasonable. There is no way that a new car is worth 13x our old car. It was still running fine and had just been serviced earlier in the year. The sales rep was fine, but as soon as $ amounts were discussed, it's like his entire personality changed. What's worse is that the manager in, Eric Xu, was a complete shark and being incredibly rude. He said we had to pay a deposit of $1000 in order to see if we could apply a discount program to the purchase. At other Nissan dealers, they were willing to put in this code to a website for no charge, no problem. This dealership really needs a change in management. Eric Xu needs to be replaced as he has no respect for potential customers and quotes them unreasonable amounts. DO YOURSELF A FAVOUR AND DO NOT COME TO THIS DEALERSHIP. read more

I was recently at Richmond Pan Pacific Nissan as there was a used vehicle that I was interested to inquire about. When I arrived at the dealership, it was empty with no sight of customers or salesman. I waited for several minutes and I was still unable to see a salesman. So I walked over to the receptionist who was working at the time and told her I have some questions about a vehicle (the receptionist was on pineterst at the time and did not notice me until I was literally standing right beside her desk). The receptionist used the PA system to call for a salesman and in 10 seconds, I was greeted by Paul S. He was polite and introduced himself and shaked my hand. I told him about the car that I was interested in and we proceed to take a look at that car. I told him this is the vehicle I want and I want to see how much my current car is worth for trade in. We proceed to his desk and he went outside to look at my car. After around 5 mins, he came back and quoted $4000 dollars for my car. He said there is a scratch on the vehicle (i was quote $350 to fix it) and all the tires needs to be replaced. I told him I was just at BMW and they quoted $8000 for my car, and dealers on autotrader.ca and craigslist are selling this car for $11K to $14K. Paul S ignore the BMW comment and tells me people who is asking $11K to $14K for my car will NEVER get it as this car is only worth $6K. So when he offers me $4K, he is giving me a 'very good' deal since he needs to fix the car up and can only make a small margin on the car. I told him thank you for the offer and left. His offer of $4000 dollars on my car was not only below blue book value, but it was an INSULT to me. His offer was $10K below of what other people are selling this car for. I understand a dealership has to make money and I am not asking $14K for my car. An honest dealership would offer an amount near bluebook value. In my case, my car's bluebook value is $8000 - $10000 dollars. This makes me question how many people have been tricked/convinced by this dealership that their car is worth NOTHING. 3 days later, I sold my car privately for $11000 which is $7000 dollars more than what Paul S at Pan Pacific Nissan offered. If you decide to have your vehicle trade in at this dealership, I would recommend on doing some research on your own in regards to how much your vehicle is worth. This may save you few thousands dollars! read more

She let me wait long time and make at least 3 phone calls in front of me. Then she told me that the service would be 1.5 hours long. I tried to call them yesterday, but never had a live person to answer. Then I made an appointment online. She said she didn't find it. Richmond Nissan service department is not as nice as Surrey location. Disappointed. read more

I took my car here for an oil change 2 weeks ago. The service guy took my insurance papers out of my glove compartment and never put them back, they didn't replace the oil change sticker on the windshield or write in my service book. When I called to find out where my insurance papers were the manager didn't even come to the phone to apologize or follow up I was told that particular service person was off today and that's all they could do.
