No service after the sale. i bought a washer and dryer Sept.2025. 1 week after install, the start button on the dryer stopped working. 5 months later the washer starting squeaking and leaking oil. The products were under warranty and they referred me to the manufacturer who uses a 3rd party for warranty service. First company and 1st appt. scheduled was a no call/ no show. They had 2 companies to choose from to set up an appt. Called the other company and they said that they have no contract with GE and don't do any warranty work. REVISED RATING -PLEASE READ ALL. I have sort of (you will see a little bit later in the post why I say that) changed my mind with regard to my earlier YELP rating of the Appliance Factory (AF) located in Grand Junction, CO. I will do my best to be as brief as possible. I ultimately bought a fridge from AF and did so because of two reasons. 1. I needed a new one ASAP and they could deliver on the 4th of July holiday and 2. I was to get a rebate in accordance with the invoice. Sales person Nathan Aloisio, advised that once the delivery was made, that I needed to file the claim for the rebate Visa Card. Listed on the purchase receipt was the web site to go to. So, starting at approximately 0910 hours, I made numerous attempts through the web site to submit my claim without success. I called AF at approximately 0917 hours and the young gentleman who answered the phone advised that AF had nothing to do with filing for a rebate and I should call the helpline which I did at approximately 0958, July 4, 2025 but received no answer. Due to the holiday, I just decided to wait until the next Monday July 7, 2025. On July 7, 2025 I called the number and spoke with a representative who advised that she could not help me. I then telephoned AF. I asked to speak to Nathan and was advised he would be back tomorrow, July 8, 2025. I called Tuesday 7-8-2025. No answer for quite a few rings, then a recording came on saying they were busy assisting other customers. Did not leave voice mail. I called at 1025 it rang several times. Got voicemail again. Did not leave a message. Called again later and left a voice mail with reason for call, who I need to get in touch with (Nathan) and my telephone number and requested a call back. Did not receive a call back from Nathan. 7-9-2025 - Called AF and this time I left a voice mail on the Presidents Hotline. Nathan called me back. I went through the processes with him advising what I had been trying to do. He said he had to look at/do something and he would call me back. Nathan has not called me back that day. On 7-11-2025 Nathan has not called. I left another voicemail on the President Hotline. The message that I left on this number was that if Nathan made a mistake to just own it and let's move on to get this resolved. 07-11-2025 - Nathan called. He said that I should have an email with a code that he needs to submit claim on my behalf. I opened my email, gave him the 6 digit number. He then said the claim was submitted by himself personally. I asked him to send me a confirmation that the claim was submitted and he did. AT NO TIME DID NATHAN SAY THAT I DID NOT QUALIFY FOR THIS REBATE. 07-19-2025 - Got a call from Marty at AF and he wanted me to change my 3 star rating on YELP. I advised that I would think about it and relayed all of the above to him. He even offered an additional $29.99 reversed back on my credit card for my trouble. I told him I did not want it and that when someone asks for help, they should help them. I took as he was trying to bribe me to change my rating. 09-03-2025 - I checked on the status of my rebate in the computer and discovered that the rebate claim had been denied. I waited this long because I wanted to give this company the opportunity to process the claim inasmuch as Nathan stated that it could take anywhere from 6-8 weeks to finalize. I sent an email to the email address given to me by Nathan when he provided me the confirmation that he had submitted the claim. 09-05-2025 - Inasmuch as I have not heard from Nathan regarding the denial of my claim for the rebate, I left another voice mail to the Presidents Hotline. I advised that I emailed Nathan and advised that my rebate claim had been denied. 09-08-2025 - Marty from AF called me. He essentially was, IMO, trying to blackmail me into changing my YELP rating by saying he talked to his General Manager and that he would put back $29.99 on my credit card if I change my Yelp to at least a 4 star. I told him that I will not go back into yelp until such time as that money is back on my card. It should be noted that AT NO TIME did I say that I would actually change my yelp 3 star to a 4 star. I explained to him that all I wanted him to do was comply with my contract and that that contract expressly gives me a $29.99 rebate. I said that there was no condition attached to that contract for that rebate. He said there was and I asked him to show me where that exception was. He responded with "...I am not going to get into that here..." You can keep your $29.99 alleged rebate, which is probably what you wanted anyway. This is the worst place for customer service or service in general. I bought a washer and dryer from these guys a few years ago, and the washer was delivered dented. I gave them another chance, and ordered a microwave from them, recently. They never bothered to call me to tell me it was delivered, and waiting at the store. I had to go in and check, and it took a minute to get it. When you walk in, there are usually three or four guys standing around. None of them even look at you, say good morning or good afternoon, or ask if they can help. They look at you like you are in the wrong place, or they are just plain mad at you for coming in. A, "Good day, how can I help you?", goes a long way, and doesn't take a whole lot of effort. I don't think they like their jobs. They sure don't act like it, or do a good job of customer service. I don't know if it's this town or what, but the customer service is terrible here, especially, at this appliance factory outlet. You guys need to do way better. I don't think I will purchase anything else from this store. The only bright spot in the store was Roger. Who was the only one that was somewhat polite and helpful. I purchased a freezer here one month to the day and it has stopped working. I called today, when the store opened, was to get a call back. Nope. I called again, was told Id get a call back, nope. I called again, and spoke with "Gus" who said they were trying to help me, but if I would prefer to call Maytag myself I could. I called Maytag, the answering machine there says they close at 4pm our time. It is 335 our time. No help. Do not recommend. read more

Never again! We tried to save a few bucks and learned our lesson. You get what you pay for! The salesman was overly loud/borderline obnoxious, even though it didn't seem like he was trying to be. He likely just needs better training from someone more experienced. The stainless steel refrigerator we settled on looked good enough, until they remove the ridiculous amount of paper they tape to it, some of it with DOUBLE-SIDED tape that refuses to fully come off. We've used Goo Gone. We've tried WD-40. The super adhesive tape has damaged the material beyond repair. What nonsense. I get selling imperfect appliances; I do not understand why you'd further damage the product, with tape of all things. It's such an avoidable problem. But we're stuck with it, tape stains and all. Hopefully it just functions properly for the foreseeable future. And when the day comes that it needs replaced, we're paying full price. read more

We found what we were looking for and we were able to get delivery within a couple of days. Our salesman was very good and very knowledgeable. The only problems we had was the three employees that we came in contact with did not have mask on. Also we called back to see if they could do another service call on our units that we had decided at time of purchase not to do and later had changed our minds. Thought I would share my one year nightmare ordeal with appliance services! First off? SAM was very friendly and helpful, UNTIL we made our purchase and had a defective oven. Then his alter ego came out and we were dealing with a jerk. It has been 10 months since buying a defective oven and I'm just now finding out I'll finally get a full refund from LG for the oven I bought here that never worked right from the first time I used it. I wouldn't send my worst enemy here for appliances! Beware buyers!!!! Never ever try to save a few bucks and buy an open box item, not worth the headache if it has any issues, even tho we were assured it was under warranty. When push comes to shove? I'm writing to express our complete dissatisfaction with an encounter we had with Mr Sweeney, manager of Grand Junction location.. What is most disappointing is that we have had two polar opposite encounters with him personally. Our first encounter was the afternoon of Sunday, July 8th. During this visit he was very gracious, humble, informative and extremely helpful. He spent a tremendous amount of time walking us through various brands, features and working with us on price, delivery and warranty. Our second encounter was the afternoon of Thursday, July 12. During this encounter he was dismissive, rude, condescending and to be perfectly honest a complete asshole. We walked in yesterday ready to purchase the Whirlpool refrigerator we had been looking at, the Electrolux Washer/Dryer Combo and look at at Range Microwave combination to match the refrigerator as well as begin the search for a 5 burner gas cook-top. On our first encounter he could not have been more helpful, supportive and solutions based. Yesterday his only comment was "come back in in September". After a great amount of research I found the higher-end range/oven at a great price. The young sales woman was very helpful and absolutely no pressure. A five star for the sales clerk, she rocked and was the reason I made the purchase. 1-2 star for the sales clerk I encountered two days ago (5/15) a condescending used car salesman. Hence the 3 star rating..... Then another encounter with a fellow warrants a 1-2 stars when I picked up the range for being chastised for the initial 3 star review and the less than enthusiastic attitude about helping us load it in our truck. Initially I was encouraged to do this review to receive a broiler pan that should have come with a $2,800.00 purchase anyway. I would suggest customer service training. I would NEVER PURCHASE from them again. I originally purchased a $1600 new stove from them. When it was installed the stove did not work. I had the call the manufacturer to get the brand new stove serviced and was without a oven for 3 months. The service man told me it was not a new stove and someone had already taken it apart. I bought the extended warranty. That stove was finally replace after 3 years of issues. The replacement stove from appliance factory was supposed to be new. We got that installed and it also did not work. The manufacturer service person came out to fix it and again told me the board was installed backwards and it had already been taken apart with missing screws. read more

Grand Junction CO has little options for appliances so it nice that Appliance Factory has so many options. The staff have been friendly. Our sales person was kind and tried to be very helpful but he was new so when we went to purchase our two items, microwave and stove, it took an agonizingly long time. There was someone helping with this process but she really didn't seem to know fully what she was doing either. Dreadful customer service. The staff seems to have the incompetent part of poor cutomer service well in hand. Have problems, questions, need customer service, or any type of communication? Forget it. For example, staff failed to call me 3 days after they stated they would. They failed to call with an update within the 7 days stated that an update would be done. I had to drive 45 minutes to the store to get information as no one seemed to be able to determine order status over the phone. After I went in to get information, the manager stated i would be contacted with an update within 3 days. 7 days later, i drove to the site to get information. The manager was not interested in getting information. They said i could cancel the order at a 20% restocking fee even though the appliances were still on backorder. When the appliances finally arrived, one was missing a key part. 5 weeks later, I still didn't have the part and the staff said they'd contact me with an update. In 3 days. That was 2 weeks ago. Skip the horrible experience and go to the dump for appliances. Customer service via rodent will be more competent. read more

Purchased a refrigerator June 2020. It was delivered about 10 days later. The fridge is fine, but here are some things to be aware of with Appliance Factory. They not only charged me an incorrect sales tax rate for where I live, but also charged sales tax on the delivery charges. I questioned the amount at the time but got the excuse of "our software." But before delivery I returned to the store and strongly questioned this and requested a refund. They did refund the overcharge on sales tax. But I suspect it's not a problem with "our software" but intentional overcharging because who ever calculates what it should be and questions it. Buyer beware. My other issue is the exorbitant delivery charges. They say $40 on the website, but wait! that's just if they leave it outside the house. It's an additional $40 to bring it into the house. So we're up to $80 for appliance delivery. It took two young men to get it in; there was no way I was strong enough to help my husband bring it into the house, so of course we had to agree to that. But wait, there's more. When the two delivery guys arrived, they looked at out doorway which we had already carefully measured, and said if they had to remove the fridge doors to get it through the doorway, there'd be an extra charge of $25, which would've brought delivery charges to $105. The staff were courteous during all our transactions (though not a one of them wore a mask) so no complaint there. But like I say, Buyer Beware. Pay attention to what sales tax rate you are charged (especially if you live outside city limits) and make sure they don't charge sales tax on the delivery charges. On 03/17/2018 I went into Appliance Factory & Mattress Kingdom because I needed a washer and dryer. I was a repeat customer as I had purchased appliances from the store before. I went in around 4 pm and looked around and told Art that I would return after doing some comparison shopping at some other stores. I returned to the store at around 6:15, and looked at a dented model and but decided the damage was too severe and decided to go with a new Samsung washer and dryer. At about 6:50 I had my debit card in hand getting ready to pay, and an employee named Sam threw a hissy fit, stating he wasn't staying late because I couldn't make up my mind. He then stormed off. Again, I was in the process of paying for my washer and dryer. I told Art to stop the transaction and I would take my business elsewhere. I was actually in the Lowe's parking lot at 7 pm, where I spent $1200. Well, here we are Jan 31. Brought the second dryer home, after their refusing a refund on the first piece of junk. Called out the repair man because of the noise. Motor is shot. It will take 1-2 weeks to get another one, so we are taking this dryer back as soon as we can borrow a truck again. This will make three 90 mile round trips. They WILL give us our money back or I am going to make a point of driving around town and sitting outside their store with a sign telling our story. By the way, we are in Colorado, not California. We purchased a $3000 refrigerator on 10/14/16. It was delivered a few days later. We bought it at a discount due to a small dent on the front. We should have looked under all the stickers and signage first. The delivery people showed up in a U-Haul and proceeded to damage our wall. In the time it took them to come back I had called the # on the receipt to the report the incident and the lady on the phone took down the claim and scheduled a date for them to come look at the damage. She then called me back 10 minutes later and informed me that Grand Junction is not affiliated in that way with the rest of the their stores and I would have to deal with the store direct. They returned later in the evening with the water line much later than what was disclosed to us. We attempted to clear the water from spitting and spoke to the store on several occasions. We were told to do several things that did not work and eventually told they would need to come back out but were short staffed and had a tight delivery schedule. We were continually told this on Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday LATE afternoon they finally came out. They confirmed the water was spitting and there was an issue and a filter MIGHT fix it but they did not have one to give me so I needed to contact Kitchen Aid. They dispatched on the following Thursday and informed me I needed a new water line and valve and that their location in Michigan had slow delivery so if they did not get it before Wednesday I would have to wait an additional 10 days as they were going on vacation and they were the ONLY installer. I was of course ended up waiting the 10 days. But oh WAIT this just keeps getting better. After the installer fixed it. I now have a bill WITH interest from a company called Brand Source even though I am not supposed to be paying interest for 6 MONTHS. To add to this fabulous nightmare when we were in the store we found a razor blade in one of the refrigerators and the Store Manager proceeded to tell us it was "not anything they were doing" very jokingly. And when I informed him of the very lengthy delay from getting my refrigerator 10/14 to ACTUALLY working 11/16 he let me know as long as it was cooling there was nothing they had to do about it! ALL in ALL I spent a MONTH buying ice and water, I had the WORST experience of my life and I will NEVER EVER set foot into this establishment again!! read more

The only thing saving this place from zero stars is the salesman. He was very friendly and helpful. However, once we purchased our fridge, things went downhill from there. Our delivery date was set and I sat at home all day waiting for them. We finally called around 5pm and were told it had been a busy day but we were assured they would be there. They never showed up and we got no phone call. We tried to call the number on the receipt to leave a message ( as it said to do) but it rang and rang, no voice mail. My husband went into the store the next morning and after almost an hour with the salesman and his many trips to visit The Great Oz behind the curtain in the back of the store, they credited us back our original delivery charge plus gave us free instalation. We finally got our fridge 2 days after it was promised. Their delivery process is VERY poorly explained by their sales staff. Much frustration would be avoided it they fixed that. Additionally, their "price match plus 10%" policy is a crock. Much of what they carry is last year's models or items that have been discontinued by other stores. How are you going to price match an item that no one else carries? Bottom line, don't shop here. read more
