We have only ever used them so we had no idea where to look. My wife enlisted Yelp to help us. She put in some request for quotes and received a few back pretty quickly. We had never used that but it was very helpful. Quality Masters was the first to respond and then also took time to message back and forth with her. The other companies were not as friendly and responsive. We also read their Yelp reviews, which we all good, so we figured we would use them. We were able to make the appointment for the next day and were able to do it all through text. It was very simple for us! There was a moment of uncertainty but they were extremely professional and friendly. I was going to be home while my wife was at work, so on the day of our appointment, they were running early. They called asking if early would be ok, so our appointment was moved up. I cannot remember his name, but the technician that came was very knowledgeable and professional. He pinpointed the issue immediately. He discovered our dryer was clogged with lint and the coils were bad. It makes sense since we had never had our vents cleaned. He was able to replace the coils, as well as sucking out as much lint as he could with his tools. Unfortunately, they do not clean vents like that but again, he could help us out with some of it. He also made suggestions as to what else needed to be done, really with just getting the vents cleaned. They also take your payment online either with credit card, for a small fee, or Zelle or Venmo. The invoice will be emailed to you and allow you to pay that way. Personally, we do not prefer to pay for services with Zelle so we used a credit card. It was very simple. I thought overall the price they charged for the coils and cleaning, was very reasonable. It did not cost us much at all. I would definitely use them again, should we need something fixed.

After reviewing Yelp and the internet, my husband reached to Mr. Appliance for assistance with our…read moredishwasher that was leaking. Mr. Appliance sent a technician out within a couple days who had no issue identifying which model we had or the issue with our dishwasher. A diagnostic fee was charged and a part was ordered. A technician came back in a few days to install the part and we were charged for the part and installation of the part. The next day they received a call that our dishwasher was still leaking. A new technician came out. For some reason the initial ticket had been closed so they didn't have the information from the previous visits. We were told that a different part needed to be ordered. A few days later the same technician came back and stated that the wrong part was ordered. We were then told that we would need to provide confirmation of the model number prior to them returning. I was very confused bc the first technician had no issue with finding the model number. However, after 4 of 5 different visits, the majority of the model number had been rubbed off. Overall, after 3 weeks my dishwasher was not fixed. After multiple calls and follow-ups to Mr. Appliance (we were told we would get a call back, never did), we were finally refunded a portion of our money. This is why they receive 3 stars and not less.

When the technician came, he identified the problem, and said it would not cost more than $400 to fix, because of my warranty with the manufacturer. He told me that it would be "easy as 1,2,3" to call the manufacturer and get the part approved. He guaranteed the coverage and the quick turnaround, as my family needed to know if we should buy a new fridge or suffer a few days without one, while the parts were being approved. After calling the manufacturer, they informed me that only one of the parts was covered. Then I began calling Mr. Appliance every day to speak to a manager, but didn't get a call back for almost a week. This whole time with a broken refrigerator in our house. Finally, after calling again and again, I was able to talk with a manager and was informed that the technician's word was not true. The parts that were not warrantied brought the total to about $1,100. At that point it was significantly cheaper to just buy a used refrigerator, but instead my family was unnecessarily stuck without one for a week. I explained how I received false information from the technician, and asked for them to do the repair at the promised price, or to return the service fee for coming out in the first place. Although management blamed the technician for giving false information, they still refused to do anything to rectify the situation.

We had to pay a $20 service fee just to get them to come out -- not too bad. Had the appointment scheduled for a Saturday (no extra charge). Unfortunately, the power went out 15 minutes before Brian arrived so nothing could be done. Rescheduled for next Tuesday and did not have to pay another service fee. Turned out the noise was from a compressor vibrating against some other metal. Brian put a rubber buffer between the two and the problem was solved. They have a 90 day warranty on labor, but we are on day 3 and the noise has not returned. Paid a little over $200 - didn't have to pay for an expensive part, and we can now get some sleep!

When our dryer broke down, we hired them to investigate and see if they could repair it. I called…read moretheir number and was greeted by a friendly representative, who informed me of the 20 dollar call free, as well as a 120 dollar fee for them to investigate and if we don't hire them to repair it. The specialist came within schedule, and investigated our dryer. He spent about 1/2 hour to investigate as well as disassemble the control panel and other parts, and mentioned something about the heating element and another component being broken. He informed us that it would be better to buy a new dryer as the costs of repair would not be worth it (around 450 dollars). We appreciated his honesty and told him we will buy a new dryer for a store. Thus, we paid 140 dollars for the specialist to come and investigate, but no repairs. It was definitely costly, but we did appreciate their honestly. I also noticed that he had what looked to be a body camera, which wasn't mentioned. Thus, if being filmed rubs you the wrong way, it may be good to hire someone else. While I would recommend their service, I may check directly with the manufacturers if they do repairs as just the cost of the investigation from Hartman's was quite expensive.
