I was given a confirmed delivery date and time window, which required me to take time off work. Five minutes before delivery, I received a call informing me that the associate who sold me the appliances had set up the order incorrectly, making it impossible to complete the delivery as scheduled. I fully understand that mistakes happen; that part is not what frustrated me. The issue is the financial impact this oversight had on my family due to missed work--and the fact that I will now need to take additional time off when the remaining appliances finally arrive. I recognize that Warners' Stellian is a business with its own processes and interests, but there should be some level of financial accountability when an internal error creates a burden for the customer. As a result of this experience, I will be sharing my story with others so they can make informed decisions--just as Warners' Stellian protects their interests, customers deserve the same consideration. Delivery team: excellent. Sales and logistics: extremely disappointing.

I walked around looking at everything for over an hour. Not one person offered to help me or asked if I had any questions. I will not be ordering my appliances, plumbing fixtures, lighting, etc. from there. Really bizarre that they don't appreciate a customer.

I was in the market for a new wall-mount oven. My husband and I went to their showroom in Lee's…read moreSummit and talked to one of their salespeople. They did not have on display what we needed to replace our current oven. The salesperson was helpful and pulled up online an oven that would have probably worked--to the tune of over $2300. Next was to have their person come to our house to pre-measure. They wanted me to pay the entire amount before the pre-measure was scheduled--which I refused since I wasn't going to pay for something if it wouldn't fit properly. Also, the oven I wanted was out-of-stock with Whirlpool and nobody had any idea of when one could expect delivery. If the measurements all worked out, I agreed to pay half upfront to get it ordered. Their associate showed up for the pre-measure on a Friday afternoon and after running some compilations, said he would have to get back with us that following Monday. We said that would be fine. That was the last I heard from anybody at Ferguson--neither from that guy or from the salesperson who originally emailed me a formal quote. Not even a courteous follow-up on the project. That's been over a week ago. I guess they don't need our business--I was wanting to buy local--but their customer service is terrible. I'm done with them and since I never heard back from them, went to NFM, spoke with the most knowledgeable salesman, found the perfect oven, and saved probably @ $800 in total. Delivery is already scheduled. The ratings on Yelp for this business were somewhat to be desired but I thought I'd give them the benefit of doubt. Now I know why and I'm adding my own one-star rating.

We chose a…read moreset for a reasonable price, and Tom said it would be delivered the next day between 3pm-6pm. However, by 5:30pm the next day they had not arrived, so my husband called the store to ask about the ETA of the delivery. He was told that the slip of paper with our address and phone number had been misplaced. My husband had texted Tom, so we thought he had my husband's number in his phone. I called to ask if they could give us a discount on the $120 delivery fee due to the mix-up, but Tom told my husband that instead he would find some other way to compensate us. He was very apologetic. The delivery team came the next day, and they were even a little early. They hauled away our old washer/dryer. Unfortunately, we had not measured the new washer/dryer, and they did not fit down our basement stairs. The delivery team did try their very best to move them down, but it just didn't work. It was definitely our fault for not measuring beforehand. We went back to Mr Fix It to exchange the set for a new washer/dryer set. Luckily, they had one ready that would fit. Unfortunately, we had to pay another $120 moving fee (though again it was our fault for not measuring first). Tom also said that he normally charges a 20% restocking fee, but that he would waive this restocking fee due to the circumstances. Moral of the story-measure first! The delivery guys said they didn't have the right part to set-up the new washer and dryer that evening, so they returned the next day with the right part to set it up. The washer and dryer are both working fine now. Overall, I would say that while our experience was a little complicated, we would recommend Mr Fix It if you are looking for reasonably-priced appliances.

The Yelp form seemed to have some issues going through; not sure if it was a Yelp issue or vendor issue, so that's why I went to the vendor's website directly, and attempted their webform. As of now, it's been numerous business days with no reply. I see from other reviews that my experience appears to be outside the norm, so that's unfortunate.

Ok, close it down folks, I've found my new appliance repair guy for the foreseeable future…read more I had started down the YouTube instructional video.. you know the ones that make everything look incredibly easy, but then it turns out it's a marginally different model of dryer and completely changes the whole equation? Yeah, one of those. So about fifty suppressed swear words later, I'm on the phone with The Other Guy, and we're booked for a short window the next day. He jumped right in and dismantled the entire thing to clean it out, test out parts, and make sure he got it right. He showed me how the burner was glowing too hot, which means we'd just be replacing it again in a handful of months. We tested and tried different things on it, and he landed on an airflow issue (in addition to already fixing the broken part), and shortened our exhaust duct. He stuck around to make sure this fix was it and was going to take, and it's been humming ever since. I also found his pricing fair, and will go to him again (but good lord hopefully not for a while, we've had enough of these things this year). On last note -- just call him. I know. I want to send the message and hope it works out, but I think it's easier and more likely to happen if you just call on this one.
