I had an old but reliable Viking oven, which unfortunately, broke down yesterday. The worst part is that it happened right before Easter. I was very upset because I really love to cook and I was going to bake bread for Easter Sunday.. Luckily my friend recommended a company that specializes in repairing household appliances. Our 10 year old dishwasher went out mid wash and looking at all the appliance companies on Yelp I found Appliance Techie was the one who responded first and was able to come out to our house on a Saturday to do the repair. Ed was the repairman that came out and we found him to be very polite and very knowledgeable. Ed checked out a couple of things on our dishwasher in order to locate the reason for it stopping. Ripoff service or scam of consumers. Three guys show up in unmarked pick up truck, so no identification of company or services. I called their number to identify service needed, including the make and model # of my refrigerator to say here is what is happening. With that information the representative should have known about the issues with Kenmore and the LG buyout and utilizing inferior parts that has resulted in massive numbers of defective refrigerators and the class action lawsuit. He did not and I asked if he could help identify the age of my unit and he said the repair person would be able to do that. The repair people did call in advance, probably seeing dollar signs, to say they would be there in 10 minutes. They did arrive but initially seemed confused about which house. They cam in and were careful about moving the refrigerator out on special plastic strips not to hurt the wood floor. But less than 10 minutes and did check that the compressor was running, one guy not evaluating that, said we have good news and bad news. Good news was digital panel good, but you have no Freon in system as it has leaked from pipes and compressor is just running. How did he know that there were leaks? Well, he then told the story of LG buying Kenmore brand and then putting their own compressor into Kenmore units and there were significant breakdowns for the past number of years that they have seen and have told all customers what they need to do and deal directly with Kenmore? They provided a written invoice with the issues and asked for a service fee of $129!!! What? For 10 minutes and information that could have communicated over the phone! There was no real evaluation of problem, they already knew what was wrong. It was all an act! I objected to fee as most appliance repair charge $69 to $79. He said well we do have an online coupon for $20 off and he will take that to make it $109. Ok, I had a very good conversation with Igor, Service manager, about my review and I am pleased that our conversation had a vey position outcome and a clearer understanding of responsibility from both of us. I appreciate his forthcoming acceptance of responsibility and wanting to understand what issues I had with his team. I will take responsibility of being disappointed with the situation and having more expectations than what happened. I understand more of their team's capabilities and I think Igor and I just did not communicate totally of what they were going to do and at what price versus what I thought I should be receiving from a service standpoint. He was very fair on refunding my costs and I accepted as a very generous resolution. I now more about why they have multiple techs visiting and why their costs are more than others with the skills sets of their people. So,I very much would give them the opportunity in the future to address my issues should they arise. read more

I called Appliance Techie about my stackable washer that was not draining water. The woman who answered the phone was very friendly and she got me an appointment the same day. I was thrilled about the same day service. When the technician Ed arrived he was very friendly as well. He pulled off the front of my washer and immediately found out the issue i was having. Turns out i only had a clogged drain. I was super happy how knowledgable Ed was, and how fast he fixed my washer. The price was very fair as well. I'm extremely satisfied with there service in all ways and would highly recommend anyone to this company. professional and organized! these guys are not your standard dumpy, frumpy, butt crack showin' appliance guy! they are sharply dressed, fit, smart, professional young men! i had a broken washer & dryer & they gave me solid advice to get a new washer because it would be too expensive and not worth the fix, but the quote on the dryer was really reasonable. i actually ended up getting both a new washer & a dryer but they still gave me a customer satisfaction followup call! Fantastic problem solvers! First, we had a stacking Samsung washer and dryer - which many technicians are hesitant to work on. Not only because you need two tech's to unstack it, but many tech's don't want to work on Samsung or LG units. A two man team came out right away and figured out what our problem was- it was a water pressure issue. Not sure if someone else would have diagnosed it properly. This company came out same day to work on my washer. Ed came to the house and even called 30 minutes before he got here as promised. (Something other companies have failed to do.) He was punctual and within the time frame I was given. He looked at the washer and unfortunately it is not repairable but he was honest and very nice. Actually he could have fixed it but the price was so high that I may as well buy a new washer. My advice would be not to buy an LG washer. My fridge was broken -- getting power but not cooling at all -- and Appliance Techie was able to get someone out to me in less than 48 hours. The technicians called half an hour before arriving, and were prompt and quick. Yury and Edgar were professional and resourceful. My kitchen is arranged in a way that makes it nearly impossible to get the fridge out of its spot, but the guys cleverly removed the freezer door, so they could move the fridge forward with just enough clearance for one of them to shimmy behind it and diagnose the problem. Needed a new compressor and maintenance. Price seemed a little high but I didn't have anything to compare to. And since they had the required part in the truck, I went ahead with the repairs and am very glad I did. Had a working fridge in less than an hour, start to finish. At first I was a little bit weary because there's not a lot of reviews however I had the best experience with this company. The technician Edgar was actually early and called to make sure that it was OK. He was quick to diagnose my broken dishwasher and even recommended possibly just buying a new one versus fixing it totally honest. I never felt pressured. My husband and I unfortunately had to have repairs done through another company due to insurance reasons and Edgar called back to refund my service fee. Seriously the best customer service I've had in a very long time. Called yesterday to have my washer repaired. The technician Edgar came the next day. He quickly diagnosed the problem: I thought it was the pump, but it turned out to be the blocked line. So he cleared everything out and before leaving made sure that everything was working. He also cleaned everything up after the work was done. The prices on their service were good too. I called this company at 12noon Edgar the tech showed up to the house at 1:30pm, quick! He quickly diagnosed the problem with Dryer let me know the issue was a little bigger than I originally thought and that it may not be economical to fix and would be better to replace. He waived the $59 service fee, took the time to give me the part numbers needed and even told me how to fix it myself if I wanted to give it a try before buying a new Dryer. There aren't too many companies out there that are honest, fair, and have the integrity Appliance Techie has. They are also very responsive and helpful. I heartily recommend Appliance Techie for your appliance repairs. Our gas dryer broke on Sunday. Our usual repairman is not working during Covid. After checking Yelp for the best repairmen who would service Yorba Linda, I called Appliance Techie. I called on Monday. They came the next day on time and determined the cause of the problem quickly. They said they needed to order the part and would be back on Friday to complete the repair. Instead, they called Wednesday afternoon saying they got the part and were in the area. If it were convenient for us, they would stop by and complete the repair, which they did. They asked for a 50% deposit with the balance due on completion. read more

Fixed our leaking washing machine! I called and was able to get them out to the house right away. David did a quick check of the washer and we were in agreement that the gasket on our front loader was damaged and causing the leak. We ordered the part and as soon as it arrived I was able to get him back out to install it. They spent a good amount of time problem solving and when they finally gave me the estimate I knew they had done the work to find the solution. Unfortunately for us it was a major issue and they suggested we do our research and weigh out if it was more cost efficient to just buy a new unit. I LOVE THAT! They arrived on time and wearing their masks (thanks, COVID-19), and were quick to address the challenge with our older Viking kegerator. Although the estimate to repair the unit was close to what it would cost to replace due to the age of the equipment and where the problem resided within the system, I would bring these guys back for any appliance requiring service. My refrigerator was leaking so I tried to fix it myself but it still leaked. So I called Appliance Techie and a technician named Edgar came out for the service call. I called sears and it would take two weeks. Appliance techie sent Edgar the same day. He diagnosed it as needing maintenance and did a full maintenance service and gave me a discount. Edgar was very courteous and knowledgeable. He fixed the problem and it hasn't leaked since. He even gave me a follow up call today to see how it was working. I had a problem with my Maytag dryer happen yesterday. A friend of mine told me about this company and said great things about them. The person on the phone was very polite and professional. He asked me a couple of questions about my issue and was able to determine the problem right away. They said the technician could show up the next day for a fee and that fee would also be included with the repair cost. Technician Oleg called when he was on his way the next day, came on time and quickly fixed the problem with the part that he already had on him. He also cleared the vent line.
