Odd story, I know, but we have a 15-year-old KitchenAid refrigerator, side-by-side, that works perfectly. I would love a fancy-pants new fridge, but the horror stories of breaking down after nine years appears to be true. So we texted, explained the situation, and asked for a tune-up. We were quoted a fair price, Stepan was running a little late and texted when he would arrive. He pulled it out, removed the back, steam-cleaned the coils, and defrosted the drain-pan. He complimented our use of a dedicated surge protector (we get about two blackouts a year). The gaskets are tight and clean, and we will continue to clean the coils that we CAN REACH. These guys are awesome. First of all they only wanted $50 to assess the problem. This was less than half of everyone else. The microwave was broken but the oven still worked. We thought we were going to have to buy a whole new system for about $3,500. Stepan came and took the microwave out and first tried the fuse. But the real problem was a transformer. He was able to get the part in less than a week and come back and fix it. $350 in total. We are so lucky we called these guys.
