Called Appliance Zen (Sebastian) about our refrigerator. He came out that afternoon. He ordered the part and it got lost in delivery. He ordered the part again, it arrived and he fixed our fridge! In fact, it runs better than it did when it was brand new. It has always made some weird conking noises but those have stopped. So, my 6 month old refrigerator was starting to warm up on a Sunday afternoon. I called and was informed that my brand was not typically covered by Appliance Zen; however, the technician (Sebastian) spent 15 minutes gathering some diagnostic and service manual information and walked me through common issues. Sure enough one of the issues he mentioned was spot on! A loose white connector that I might find on one of the controller PCBs. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. Customer service is non existent at best. 6 months later I'm still waiting for a return call. If I could give 0 or negative stars I would. I found Sebastian through Yelp and having at that time no other option for repairs to our commercial beer cooler in a residence, I contacted Sebastian. I was very impressed at first with his knowledge of various appliances. He suggested an initial fix to our problem and it sounded great. Fast forward 4 months later and repeated phone calls and promises of repair, parts coming, etc, we found another, legit and reliable company. We paid Sebastian to basically put "fix a flat" into a refrigerator. To replace and repair everything he screwed up was over $2,000! Let me explain , I ve never been in the store. I did have a stove that wasn't working right though , it was not bought at Zen but the Company that made it sent them out to service it. First I got a call from super sweet Mary that have me an appointment, then I got a call from the owner that cancelled the appointment, all together he called me 3 times to make sure I understand what the problem is. You might wonder why that's worth 5 stars I think it is, they could have just not showed up, keep me waiting, but they didn't. After a couple of phone calls from them and from me to the company that built the stove we sorted out the problem ( I live about 20 miles out so they needed more money from them to be able to show up for the service). They came in time and were super friendly, introduced themselves with a handshake and serviced or fixed the stove in no time. It was a great experience and my stove finally works. The main mechanic explained what the problem was and what he fixed. I would call these guys at any point again! read more

He showed up exactly when he said, assessed the problem, gave me the total cost and told me when the part would be in, which was the next day. I paid them $56. I have not heard from them since. I have called them repeatedly. I have sent them an email all to no avail. Very strange experience. Sebastian came to our house to check out the dishwasher that wasn't cleaning properly. I had to leave to run a quick errand, and when I returned home, he was gone with no note or invoice left. I followed up a few days later via phone and was told that I should use dishwasher cleaner on my machine and if that didn't work I needed a new pump which was "exuberantly expensive". Overall a very bizarre experience. Poor communication, no follow through, and my dishwasher is not fixed! We called Sebastian because clothes coming out of our dryer had rust streaks. Also, our fridge/freezer seals were leaking. He made an appt for between 3pm & 5pm. At approx 4:15 he called to say he was leaving his appt and would arrive in 30 minutes. In about 45 min he called again and was further delayed by the directions on his GPS. He called 3 or 4 more times and finally arrived around 5pm. While we do live on top of a mountain, the directions include only 2 turns once you exit I-240 so it is very rare for people to get lost. He finally arrived and checked the dryer and fridge/freezer. He diagnosed the problems, ordered parts and said he would call when the parts came in. About 2 weeks later I called on a Monday and Sebastian said the parts had just come in the previous Friday. He made an appt for the following Wed at 1pm. On Wed he called and left a message that, once again, he was running late. We could not understand the rest of the message. We have not heard from him since and we do not feel it is up to us to chase him down. Like so many vendors in WNC these days this seems to be the norm. read more

They "ordered" a part from Germany, and after waiting almost a year, and calling and calling, I called Haywood Appliance, and they were able to repair my oven within 3 weeks.
