I called for help with a used dryer that was no longer heating. The diagnosis was a bad timer at a cost of $300. It isn't the cost that bothered me as much as the indifferent attitude. I was asked to sign with a suggestion of a tip. The first time I used applianceville I was so impressed at the professional service. This time not so much. Total cost of the timer from Amazon was $25 and I installed it myself. Turns out it wasn't the timer after all. I still think it may have been an off day for the technician. read more

The delivery man could not put the doors on my brand new refrigerator so that they lined up. He told me that one of the gaskets was firmer than the other, and I should wait for the gaskets to even out. Nothing changed with time. Went back to Applianceville 60 days later. They sent a tech to my house who got the doors even, but they charged me $170. Be careful! read more

Local parts and local service. I called looking for a dyer belt. In fear that I would be lost and have to order online, I called them right away. After sharing my details, they had to call me back. At this point I was convinced that my wet laundry would be wet for the rest of the week and I would be hanging my pants out the car window as I'm driving to work. NOPE! I was called back in 5 min and the part was in stock. Perfect! It took longer to take apart the dryer then it did to install the belt. I travelled 32 miles to Applianceville in search of a second hand refrigerator for my daughter. Unfortunately, they did not have anything that met my needs. While there I asked if they had a couple of missing parts for an over the range microwave that my daughter purchased from Lowe's. The microwave was a returned unit and although new, the mounting bracket and the damper assembly were missing. The unit could not be installed without these items. To my surprise they had them! Am so grateful I called Applianceville for a service call. Dave, the repairman they sent was beyond GREAT. He was honest and straightforward. He spent time educating us on buying advertised "cheaper" parts online. In this case, a "knock-off" water filter that was creating the ice maker problem. Dave was patient, methodical and figured out exactly what the PROBLEM was. . . . a result of my buying a cheaper "off brand" water filter!! He left making sure we knew if this didn't alleviate the issue, the refrigerator ice maker would most likely have to be replaced. BUT, it has been a few days and the problem has not returned. Never never never buy anything from this shady ass place. My younger brother who is handicap stopped by and the man running the place talked him into buying a window unit for $200 that is worthless. I'm so sick of businesses taking advantage of handicap people who don't know any better. It didn't even have the housing. So there is no way to mount the thing and all the electrical is exposed. When he went back to ask for it. They just flat out told him it they didn't have one. Well then they shouldn't of sold the damn thing. They didn't even offer to refund him if he brought the POS back. My best friend bought a refrigerator from them only to take it home and figure out it didn't work. I know some people can't afford brand new but if you purchase from this place you'll still end up with nothing. What a crooked ass little business. read more

He explained and showed me step-by-step what the problem might be and he was 100% right. Cost me $17 to fix. Needed a part for the top rack on my Kenmore dishwasher. I took the rack with me. Figured it would have to be ordered. Instead, Dennis said he had the part in stock. I was shocked! I asked if he could install it for me as I was afraid of further breakage if I attempted do so. He said yes and proceeded to changed both parts (they come in pairs) in front of me as I waited. Now, better than new (as the original part was made of plastic- the replacement is metal). Went home and re-installed the rack in the dishwasher and it works like a charm. There is NO other place I will go to for appliance parts or service. Everyone is friendly and professional. And if I ever need a "house call", you can be sure they will be the ones I go to. I needed a dishwasher, so began researching machines and local vendors, as I try to shop within my community. After looking around, two people mentioned "Applianceville" to me. I visited the store and had the absolute pleasure of meeting Isaiah, ("Zeke"). His knowledge of dishwashers was astounding! I told him that I was still looking, so he encouraged me to shop around, and if I found something I liked, I should relay the model number and allow him to give me an estimate. I did just that. I found the exact model I wanted, at another store, but it had a small dent at the base, which would have been practically unnoticeable in my kitchen: it was $130.00 cheaper. I called Zeke the next work day and shared my find, which he in turn immediately told me that "No, he could not meet that price." He remained incredibly professional and polite, even though it seemed that I would not be buying from him. He was just as awesome as the day I met him. He even commented that that particular dishwasher was such a good model, that it probably wouldn't be at the other store much longer, so I needed to act fast if I wanted it. Then he reassured me that I was making a wise decision by picking that make/model, and even mentioned some of its nicer features, (e.g., chopper blade instead of the removable filter; Stainless interior;, etc...). Before hanging up, he politely thanked me for the call. Overnight I thought about it, and I could not purchase the cheaper one because of Zeke! Not only did I feel that he honestly cared about his customers, and had my best interest at heart, but at this point, I trusted him completely! So I purchased the dishwasher from Applianceville, because of Zeke's GENUINE commitment to his customers. The install was another great surprise. Not only did they install THE NEXT DAY, but Tony was friendly, efficient, and knowledgeable. He called first, was punctual, and the installation was seamless. He also removed the old dishwasher, (which was great for me as I learned not all companies do that). If/when I need another appliance, I will immediately call Zeke. Applicanceville has quality employees and products. As a single woman, that lives alone, I felt good about my purchase and knew I got the best price for a [non-dented] machine and felt comfortable with having the installer in my home. Yes, their repairs are prompt. And, the staff was so helpful in selling me a set of $1500 Speed Queen washer and dryer. I was undecided between a Big Box set, but the offer of lifetime repair is what swayed me to spend twice the price for the Speed Queen set. I repeated the offer: "You mean I will never have to pay for repairs??" I was amazed! This was not for the 3-year warranty. This was for Applianceville to come out and repair my purchase at any time in the future - not just for three years. Well, now my $750 washer has a leak so I called expecting to have it repaired free of charge. Nope! The 3-year warranty was expired. But, but, I was told Applianceville would do any future repairs - NOT counting the warranty. Sorry, lady. "That's not possible." Okay, well thank you for false advertising right to my face. That's the last time Applianceville will lie to me and get my money. P.S. I don't know why this post shows me in California. Applianceville started in Titusville when we moved here in 1969-70. When I was young I bought used rebuilt equipment from Applicaneville. They rebuilt the appliances and gave a warranty. Whenever I had a refrigerator, stove or washer and dryer that was working and worth rebuilding I would give it to Applianceville. Then as I got more money, I began buying new equipment from Applianceville. They carried all the dependable brands. Over a lifetime buying dependable equipment makes a big difference. Now I am back to buy a washer and dryer. I have a rather new 2017? Maytag Bravos. It is made to work with minimum water and the dryer dries with minimum heat. I have to pour a gallon of water on the cloths to trick the washer into using enough water to clean. So, I came back to Applianceville to get a heavy duty classic washer and dryer with the full factory warranty. I have decided on either Maytag Commercial or a Speed Queen TR5 or TC5. If I buy the set from Lowes I do not get the complete warranty from the factory. Lowes provides the warranty. You have to take the appliance back to Lowes and they will fix it. The Maytag Commercial with the 5 year warranty has a G at the end of the serial number while the Maytag Commercial from Lowes and other big box stores has a "K" at the end of the serial number. The prices are the same at Applianceville as at Lowes and Home Depot and I get the full warranty, not an in-store warranty. read more

We initially called because we had a fan in our LG refrigerator making a loud noise. The tech came out on 1/9 and found a large ice buildup due to incomplete defrosting. He defrosted it, put everything back together and charged us $180. The noise started again & we called on 1/28 & they came out on 1/29 - same person - and found more ice buildup. We were now told that a board / sensor / defrost control were needed. We paid up-front for the parts/service for the next visit - $310.19. They installed the parts on 2/6 and the tech said he "hoped that this fixes the problem" & admitted he was - in his own words - "grasping at straws". On 2/13, we found a puddle of water in front of the refrigerator and found that it was not cooling & that the contents of the freezer were partially defrosted. The refrigerator was just below room temp. This time we requested someone besides Paul come out - Isaiah came out, measured temp in the refrigerator in the high 50 degree range. He said there was only 5% frost pattern on the coils, we had what appeared to be a sealed system, and that it's a compressor issue. This time we were looking at about $1500 to repair. The tech began to bad mouth LG (they're listed as an authorized LG service center) and said if we purchased from Applianceville, they'd "make things right" with all this. As it is, we paid $490 out of pocket & they wanted us to purchase from them after what appears to be a misdiagnosed problem from the start. At this point we decided we couldn't trust them & decided to purchase elsewhere. We have a poor opinion of this place as a result of this misdiagnosis - which, if made initially, we would've only paid the service fee, and we'd have had time to look for another refrigerator. We shouldn't have had to purchase something from them in order for them to "make things right". To "make things right" tells me that they screwed up to begin with. read more

Called for washer/dryer repair on Wednesday and the repair crew was out the next morning. It is a stackable unit so two men were required to remove the dryer - completely understandable!! Dryer needed a new belt and pulley (which they had the parts on their truck) - washing machine is working fine (just not balanced loads - our bad)!! Super nice people - professional and courteous. We're extremely pleased with the outcome - a few hundred dollars in parts and labor - compared to $1600.00 for a new "laundry center". read more
