The accompanying bread was delightful. I heard another diner exclaim in surprise to her companion upon greeting the chef's special lasagna, which I ordered; it featured thin hand made pasta sheets, mint and basil, ricotta and parmesan with local yellow squash cut thin on a mandoline--rich, satisfying and vegetarian! For $22 I expected to be blown away and have it be the most amazing plate of French toast I've ever eaten. What I was served was a plate of BURNED toast, a few blueberries and some sliced strawberries. There wasn't any whip cream, nothing special but can we go back to how it was burned. Like black. Not carmelized burned. (You can see how black it is in the pics. Do better. No one else was there) Our served came over gave us our bill so we could pay and never did ask how our meal was. Probably because she knew it was bad. I paid. I'll never go back and I caution anyone else that's in the area.

I checked my call history, and there was a call at 2:48 with a message saying, "We left and it will be rescheduled." But no one ever rang the doorbell. We were in the kitchen, about 10 feet from the door, and the doorbell is right above us--there's no way we would have missed it. Clearly, no one actually stopped by. It's really frustrating.
