These Gentlemen were a God send!…read more So prior to contacting MPB for emergency work needed on my vehicle, I previously attempted to work with another repair shop regarding some emergency work that needed due to what I thought, was major damage to my car. Thinking what was provided at my initial diagnosis and what I was quoted, scared, stressed and worried is putting how I was feeling about my predicament, lightly. So, strapped for what I thought was going to be close to 5 grand (Yes, that's what the other shop quoted me) and a LONG list of work that was advised "Needed" to ensure my vehicle ran properly, I became worried that I wouldn't be able to drive my car. So, I searched for somewhere who could work with me in what I actually needed and came across MPB Auto Repair. I called and spoke with Tony (I'm sorry if I misspelled it!) and gave him the rundown. Tony was able to quote me and advised I bring my car in for diagnostics. Tony quoted me and said we could find ways to work together without over charging me and get me back on the road. So, I brought my car in and was able to quickly get a better diagnosis than what I was initially provided - My alignment was off and just needed to be fixed - and man, when some of these people say they worked quick? They're Quick! No BS. Transparent. Straight to the point and affordable work? I went from being stressed and panicked to happy and so relieved. Juan offered to look at the issues I was told by the dealership I had. Some of the items the dealer said I needed Juan was upfront and said it wasn't necessary or could wait. He agreed with a few issues (brake pads was #1) and two other items he will address next week. Once I left the business, I felt a sigh of relief. I didn't feel played or taken advantage of. Juan never rushed me and explained things in a way I understood. I appreciate him and his staff. I just got my brake pads done today and next week, he will complete the other items. The owner didn't mention ay additional charges. When I went to the shop , the owner told me I need to pay additional $40 dollars for oil recycling which is not mentioned on the groupon website. The owner said I am not interested in the deal anymore and asked me to leave and get a refund from groupon. I also noticed the owner increased the break fluid flush price on groupon from $160 to $240 after I left the shop today. It's a really bad experience for customers that the owner can change his mind and reject the service. Update for owner's review below "a vehicle that is directly not covered in the advertisement" , groupon adversisement doesn't mention any special vehicle price. After the owner told me to charge additional $40, I was confused and later accepted the charge while telling him to get the receipt for reference then I can follow up with groupon. After that, the owner refused to do the service. I guess the owner don't want his practice to be exposed to groupon. The owner could have listed the additional charge on the groupon website in the beginning to let customers be clear about all the cost. I had the time though, so I stuck around and waited a bit before they were able to squeeze me in for the smog check (less than 30 min wait). The service was super quick and all the employees I interacted with were professional and polite. I'll likely be back next time I need service or a smog check (but with a phone appointment)!

I have the canceled check and invoice for the re-built transmission Puzant at Dale's Transmission did for me back in 2012. The transmission is still purring along perfectly over 9 years later and I calculated that comes to 89¢ per day and each day I drive the car, that goes down. Thanks for the good job Puzant.
