Honest and fair about price and what our vehicles need. I'm glad that I decided to come back to their service after my last visit in 2007. Still great today as they were in early 2000 when I used them exclusively to repair my old F250 and GMC then now with our Volvo suv and the F350. Will no longer use the other mechanic who always flake on me and I always gave him many chances. Too many! My family and I have used Fincher's for about 20 years and recommend it regularly. He has maintained vehicles that we're looking to keep "perfect" as well as older vehicles that we're only looking to keep "functional and safe." This is a surprisingly hard-to-find service. I was driving from Marin to Geyserville and my oil light came on on a Friday afternoon. I pulled off the exit hoping a Chevron might be able to help me and was so lucky to stumble upon Fincher. I'd had extensive issues with my oil system earlier this year and was worried. They immediately took care of my car, even as I interrupted the other work they had. My neighbor told me to have it towed to Fincher and it was some of the best advice I've ever received. This is the place to go when you need service, they are honest and will give it to you straight. They only charge you for what is broke or needs repair, nothing more, nothing less. Don't take your auto to a non license mechanic at Healdsburg Hot Rods, if you do... Fincher won't even think twice about it, won't touch your car. Had to find a specialist to fix that issue. Simple... Trustworthy, Good, Inexpensive. Tim is the perfect mechanic. He's inexpensive because he doesn't do anything that doesn't actually need to be done. He's good because I've never left his shop and had to return. The issues I've gone in for were fixed, and no issues that just popped up after leaving. He's trustworthy because... He has saved me money by not doing work I asked for. "Not worth it". It would have been worth it for him to take my money. But he didn't. Oh ya, He also saved me about $400. on my BMW'S 40,000 mile service and replaced an ebrake wire for free. I didn't ask for it. He just did it. Fincher is Solid. I'm writing some Yelp reviews of my favorite businesses in honor of Thanksgiving 2017. I don't want to take them for granted any longer. I've been a devoted customer of Tim Fincher Auto Repair for more than twenty years. I remember the first time I stopped in with a concern about something under the hood (too far back to remember just what it was). Tim took a look and made an adjustment. I asked how much I owed him. Nothing. I was so grateful for him taking the time out to make sure I was safe, but asking for nothing. Tim has given me excellent advice on potential purchase of used vehicles, on whether to keep fixing one I've got, and doesn't ever up-sell. We get regular oil changes, and he knows our vehicles well. He recommends just what we need and has integrity that doesn't stop. When it comes to questions about vehicles, I trust him completely. Deanna is efficient and kind, and their whole operation is a family business that makes Healdsburg proud.
