Bob was very clear in all communications about where things stood and what the best practices were, which made the whole process a lot less scary. We decided to error on the side of caution and follow through with cranial helmet therapy. Over the course of about 3 months we were seen by a woman who measured my son's head with a 3D scanner every 4 weeks or so. She showed us the measurements and told us his head was rounding out progressively at each appointment and that he would only need a helmet until 15 months. Well, at the next appointment we saw Bob. Bob scanned my sons head and told us he hated to be the bearer of bad news but his coworker did a poor job scanning my sons head at the previous appointments and that my sons head had made absolutely no progress over the course of several months. This was so upsetting. My son started treatment late and Bob said this was totally normal for babies over 1 yrs old. These people are supposed to be professionals and this type of mistake is inexcusable. I had so much anxiety and guilt about my son's head being misshapen, and this false hope is extremely disappointing. I do not recommend this place. We weren't sure if we should continue with helmet therapy so our pediatrician referred us to a Pediatric Neurosurgeon at Stanford to get some real answers. We were told his head would round out on its own, progress would be slow, but his head would round out during growth spurts throughout childhood and adolescence. We were told helmet therapy is essentially pointless since my son is a toddler. At the end of the day, my son's head really isn't that bad so I am a bit relieved to be done with the helmet. I am greatful for Bob's honesty and this review isn't for him, but I do not recommend Pacific Medical Orthodic & Prosthetics. Professionals should not be making these types of mistakes, especially when they have top notch technology doing the measuring for them, and ESPECIALLY when they give false hope to families in order to sell helmets that cost thousands of dollars.

Would definitely recommend!…read more All staff are super friendly and great to work with. Came here for recurring ingrown toenails for my child. Dr. Dastgah is amazing!! She explained all parts of procedures and why the recurrence could be happening. Made sure my child was comfortable throughout the procedure and just overall way better than the previous podiatrist we had seen for this.

I'm a really active person and unfortunately blew my achilles a week and half ago. I found Dr. Dastgah after a bad experience with Sutter where I was given the runaround and pretty much told to wait weeks before even getting an ultrasound. I'm so lucky I did. Gretchen was able to get me in right away and Dr. Dastgah immediately splinted me and both of them went out of their way to get me into an MRI ASAP. For anyone who doesn't know, there is a small window for a ruptured achilles where surgery is an option, which allows you to eventually return to full mobility and athletic movement. If I hadn't found Dr. Dastgah and Gretchen, I would've been waiting still for Sutter would've lost the option for surgery which means I might have a limp and never be able to do explosive movements again. It's not hyperbole to say that finding Dr. Dastgah saved my life. To lose mobility in my right foot would've meant a loss of identity and mental health that would be hard to fathom. I'm so so lucky we found really wonderful people who did everything in their power to help me. If you have any type of foot issue, Dr. Datsgah is your woman, she loves her job and will go out of her way to help you. And Gretchen as been sent from the heavens to help make the insurance and appointment piece as easy as it possibly can be. Thank you so much you all for being magical people in my life right now. Even though I'm devastated that I'm looking at a 1 year recovery now, I feel so much safer and better knowing I'm in good hands. Good drs make a world of difference not just from a physical perspective but also from a mental health perspective, and in our current health care system, its so hard to be a good dr, so please come here and get the best care and support the drs and health care professionals doing an amazing job.

She didn't even try to properly diagnose them and just ordered an X-ray. Their directions for X-rays were totally inaccurate. It wasted my time. When I called them back, the front desk person was not helpful, and it wasn't easy to get in touch with them. Finally, I got the X-ray done. I made another appointment with them. I waited over a month before I got to see the doctor again. This time was with the husband. He just looked at the X-ray quickly and recommended PHP. He didn't diagnose my knees either. Somehow, I went ahead with the PHP that day. He said it's not covered by insurance and it costs $900, which I paid right there. The PHP worked for a month or so, but it wore off quickly. And they also claimed my insurance, which I questioned with no definite answer from them. I called and emailed their admin who takes care of billing, but they were silent and cricket. It was a total waste of my time and money. Please stay away from them. Recently, I met a doctor friend who used to know this couple. He didn't recommend them. I wished I knew before and had gone to Stanford instead.

It really is difficult to get hold of the front desk as well. The whole entire appointment itself took less than 10 minutes majorly discussing about insurance coverage for the MRI that I requested to take since his wife informed that if there is no pain in the ankle that I had due to a previous fracture injury then there's nothing much to do. She didn't even think about observing it but with her two eyes and told me not to worry since it's from previous damaged tissues around the ligaments which I can even observe that myself. Despite filling out the online pre check in form you still have to fill out multiple papers of new patient forms; really disappointed with her bedside manner nonetheless the professionalism from her. I requested to see a doctor who can listen to my concerns NOT the billing department. Cancelled the whole entire MRI and seeking for a new orthopedic doctor. Good luck.

But FYI, they quoted $150 for shoes that are available on Amazon for less than $100, and insoles at almost 200 a pair(it was about 700-750 my share after insurance). If I am spending that much money,I expect them to know how to diagnose. I was repeatedly asked what I have. They should have looked at my foot and gait and made a diagnosis. But it was more like im diagnosing myself and telling them what to do. Needless to say, I didn't order anything from them. If im spending that kind of money I do expect them to tell me what my footproblems are rather than the other way round.

Happily, I was still greeted with open arms and smiles. For a Monday morning, I thought that was pretty great! There was a question as to whether or not my health plan would be accepted for insurance payment as I was not sure. I was told it would be OK to move forward with the consultation with Monalisa, their orthotic fitter so if my plan approved I would not need to drive from Half Moon Bay to Campbell again. Monalisa was so professional and cheerful, while being exquisite with her care, precision and working with me to get fitted for orthotics. She's real asset to the team and she's certified. I really enjoyed my interactions with her. Upon follow up, I learned that indeed my insurance would not cover orthotic work (unless I was a diabetic& I am not diabetic) at this at this clinic and that I needed to go somewhere else in Mountain View. I will do so but I made sure to let Monalisa know how much I appreciated her care and let them know at the front desk how wonderful they were, but that I could not move forward. I would recommend this clinic, especially Monalisa. Thank you!
