As a mom, I knew we had to make a serious change to help him heal and build a healthier lifestyle. I signed him up at Kindred Fitness, and it was one of the best decisions I've ever made for him. With the support of the coaches and members, he felt welcomed from day one. He learned how to properly lift weights, stay active, and completely shift his habits. Some people warned me that lifting weights at his age would slow or even stop his growth -- but they were wrong. Today, he's 13 years old, 5'8", growing above average, stronger than ever, and most importantly, his blood sugars are under control. I'm incredibly grateful to the owners, Leoni and Vanna. They are amazing people who truly care. This community is so supportive that I feel completely safe dropping my son off for class, knowing he's in good hands. If you use their app it has a crowd meter which allows you to monitor busy times. In the mornings they are usually cleaning. Which to me is a good sign that this location is clean. But you have people who work out and don't clean after themselves. Uhhh yeah no...! This gym will do for the meantime. Even when it's busy you can still find parking. Bonus they have a Michael's and a walgreen's next door. :-D

However, this is closer to me and easier to get to on days when I'm not working. Parking is relatively easy to find. The gym itself is clean and has plenty of machines for whatever your workout routine might be. I'm usually just on the cardio machines, so I can't speak much for the quality of the weight machines or the free weights, but there seems to be enough without waiting around for machines/weights. Staff is pleasant whenever I've come in and I'm able to do my workout and then head back out without any issues. The Black Card Spa, which I haven't tried here yet, looks fancier than at other PF just because of the glass around it. As with all PF - it's a gym without anything fancy. A great place if you're just looking to get your workout done and leave.

But the building in the back is where things get serious. It's clean, professional, and clearly focused on training. I was very impressed with the selection of weights, free weights, and all the other equipment available. Everything you need is there, and it didn't feel crowded. The hours are very accessible, which makes it easy to fit workouts into your schedule. Entry is handled through your cell phone, which I actually found to feel very secure and modern. If you're looking for a gym that's different from the mainstream, this is definitely one to check out.

I've done Pilates at another studio, but Lagree is NO JOKE in comparison. My classes at another studio felt more like yoga or stretching. It was very beginner-friendly, and you don't even sweat. Not at LFBA. I felt like I was going to throw up or pass out at some points! Is it weird to say that I loved that? Lol. Nicolina is so encouraging and sweet. She took time before class started to show me the Megaformer and explained how it would be different at their other locations. She helped me with adjustments to ensure that I was able to keep up with everyone and offered alternatives in case I couldn't do some moves. The best part was that the class was soooo fun and quick. My body is beat up in all the best ways! I hope I'll be able to buy a membership at this studio in the future. I'm obsessed!! :)
