My wife and I went to approved auto in bend to shop for something with better gas mi. I had excellent credit soon all was needed was no money down and my signature. We test drove a 2017 jeep renegade and was told it was excellent on gas. 31mpg hwy. So we bought it. 2.4 4 cyl. Less than 40,000 mi. On the way home to lapine we noticed the 4 cyl is gutless. It had to downshift to go over lava bute. Thought it was odd. The next day we went from lapine to Redmond and back. Cost over 40.00 in gas. That's worse than our 2001 ford 4x4. So we took it back. They said no problem and put us in a 2018 Chevy Cruz. Awesome car. Told us to take it and come back next week to finalize. Long story short. We got screwed over. When it was said and done. We paid 22000.00 for the jeep. They gave us 17,000.00 for the jeep and rolled the ball on the new car. We now have a 22,000.00 Chevy Cruz that was on the lot for 16,000.00 when I came back I had the choice to be stuck with the jeep or the car. Never again! Instead of unwinding the orig. Deal they needed to make money on both cars instead of me sending them more customers. So it cost me 5,000.00 to own the jeep for 2 days. Really unfair! Stay away from these crooks. My monthly payment is now higher for the 16,000.00 car than the 22,000.00 jeep. Never again! read more

I got a 2017 Nissan Altima from Approved Auto in November 2018...I started having problems with a message coming up saying no key detected I thought it was a weak battery in my fob so I replaced it several times until my car just wouldn't start no more in August 2019 I had to spend $ 135.00 to have Nissan in bend put it on their machine and come to find out my fob was an after market fob which didn't go to my keyless car...My cost to fix the problem is going to cost me around $500.00.I complained to Approved Auto about this they said it wasn't their problem and they weren't going to help...This company is owned by Subaru and their machine cannot detect real problems with your car if it's not a Subaru...I would advise anyone to not get a car there unless you have a very thick wallet for repair bills because they will not stand behind their cars they sell there... read more

Buyers beware! I was sold a vehicle from approved and after 2 weeks my fiance was driving and a bunch of engine lights came on and the transmission was stuck in 3rd gear. I found a recall with the vehicle and took it to the manufacturer dealership to get it fixed, hoping that it might fix our issues. It turns out the computer was toast, and they couldn't even service the recall. I had to put 1000 dollars in repairs on a vehicle that I owned for 2 weeks. Approved was no help at all. They basically said sorry and it was our problem now. All though the cover over the plug where you read the codes was gone... I'm pretty sure that they just cleared the codes and sold it us. Unfortunately there is no way to tell if that's true because the fried computer. I will never buy a vehicle here again and wanted others to be aware that this dealership is shady! I can't even get anyone there to return my calls now. read more

I got my first car here 3 years ago. I was young and dumb, but luckily got a warranty. My engine blew the first month and then a second time a year later (Neither ruled my fault, I take great car of my cars). Then throughout the whole 3 years EVERYTHING BROKE! I bought it at 80,000 miles and it was an 04. I had to replace everything, the car was basically brand new by the time I traded it in. Rod, their mechanic does awesome work... not his fault I got sold a lemon. So the best thing about getting a car there is him. read more

After having our Ford f-350 3 weeks we were stranded on the highway because the transmission went out. It wasn't our 1st bad experience with vehicles from approved auto. Same situation with our jeep commander we bought, 3 weeks into having it we needed to get computers replaced. They helped with $200 of our $900 jeep bill. Now that we have to pay $5000 to replace the transmission they wont help a dime unless their shop fixes it. The Manager was a complete jerk and wasn't understanding. If you want a vehicle that will run more than 3 weeks don't go to approved auto they cut corners to make sure they can save every penny even if it costs safety. read more

Purchased a used Wrangler at the Redmond location. Upon closing sale and paperwork was advised that 2 recalls were outstanding for the airbags. After purchase, scheduled an spot with Smolich Motors for recall repair. After repair, at Smolich, a safety check performed by the advised several issues: passenger side front u joint bad, steering damper bad, RR shock bad, both rear grease seals leaking. I also found that the heat / cool module was defective on instrument panel. Additionally, the coolant reservoir was basically empty. I went straight to the Redmond lot to discuss these problems with the lot manager, Al. He pretty much said some of these things happen. After more discussion, I was told to go to the Bend location to have them look at the problems I presented. Upon arriving there, no one really knew why I was there, but after talking with Ron (service manager, I believe) he made a few phone calls about the issues and advised I would hear back by end of the day. That afternoon, I got a call from Ron saying all items would be fixed at their expense. The items were repaired, and in a few cases went the extra step to fix things above initial request. I am very satisfied with Approved Auto / Subaru of Bend (owner of Approved Auto) response and action taken. I am giving them a 4 on the fix, but a 1 on initial inspection as none of these issues should have made it to the lot. Thanks to Ron for working with me to resolve my concern and thanks to the management team for approving the repairs. read more
