Unlike some other care agencies that i've worked with,Husky not only comes in and provides a free consult with a care manager, they CONTINUE to have the managers monitor and communicate with the family and the healthcare team. Care managers Jennifer and Kris have been stellar in this way, and have found the most amazing caregiver, Michael, who visits them 2x weekly, each for 4 hours. They do it all, from driving the couple to errands and MD appts, to an outing at the lake, to meal prep, to light housekeeping, to personal care for our hospice patient. I stopped using them for about 6 months because I had plenty of supplies, but on March 7th I contacted them to restart service with one very clear condition: I needed supplies delivered by Friday, 5/22, because I'm leaving the country the following week for 3 weeks. Despite confirming the urgency, UPS tracking now shows the package will arrive 2 days after I leave. At this point, maybe one of the neighbor kids will steal the package thinking it's something fun or valuable -- surprise. I will absolutely be discontinuing service with Performance Home Medical for multiple reasons, including the fact that every single person I've talked to -- from intake to managers -- has been completely incompetent and incapable of handling even simple customer requests. I've spent hours on hold waiting for answers, and I've been lied to by both representatives and managers and the call back system they have doesn't work at all. NEVER AGAIN!

I have hole in my skull due to brain surgery and they can't seem to find a way to help find a mask that works until some imaginary additional paperwork comes from my doctor. So now I'll be "out of compliance" because I'm not wearing the mask due to a hole drilled into my skull.

There are always fresh flowers on the tables. There are several events when family and guests are welcome such as annual care show, fourth of July, Thanksgiving, Christmas and just because. Did I mention that resident birthdays are celebrated with a monthly special dinner for residents with BD's plus one guest get served a special dinner with cake and w. The building has recently had a complete renovation and is top condition. The apartments frequently undergo a complete make over between guests. Amenities include a physical fitness room, swimming pool, billiards room, library, living room, activity room beauty/barber salon, and bistro. Cogir has an interior courtyard where residents can relax and enjoy the fountain and beautiful flowers and trees. Residents are encourage to care for their own flower pots or claim a vacant pot or planter. Maintenance staff usually respond within a short time. Physical therapy staff are very helpful, I was barely able to walk and could stand for only a few minutes when I first moved in. Now I walk 1/4 mile daily, weather permitting. Cogir has daily activities for residents and a happy hour on Tuesday and Thursdays with music, free refreshments with beer and wine. In addition to a variety of regular activities such as bingo, open mic choir, shopping, fitness exercises, scenic rides, crafts, sip and paint, stories puzzles, bookmobile, religious services, card games theres is a nightly movie.
