Horrible customer experience. DO NOT USE Performance Home Medical. I've been using this company for 2 years, and their customer service representatives are consistently incompetent. I stopped using them for about 6 months because I had plenty of supplies, but on March 7th I contacted them to restart service with one very clear condition: I needed supplies delivered by Friday, 5/22, because I'm leaving the country the following week for 3 weeks. Despite confirming the urgency, UPS tracking now shows the package will arrive 2 days after I leave. At this point, maybe one of the neighbor kids will steal the package thinking it's something fun or valuable -- surprise. I will absolutely be discontinuing service with Performance Home Medical for multiple reasons, including the fact that every single person I've talked to -- from intake to managers -- has been completely incompetent and incapable of handling even simple customer requests. I've spent hours on hold waiting for answers, and I've been lied to by both representatives and managers and the call back system they have doesn't work at all. NEVER AGAIN! read more

The team was fine and did a good job during the appointment. However it took a month between scheduling an appointment and actually getting in for the appointment. During those weeks I got called several times each week telling me I was "out of compliance" which was super annoying. I told the staff about how frustrated I was and they said "it's a different department". After the equipment set up appointment I got more calls for several weeks telling me I still wasn't in compliance (becuase it takes 60 days for goodness sake) and when I actually had questions it was nearly impossible to get through to the team. I have hole in my skull due to brain surgery and they can't seem to find a way to help find a mask that works until some imaginary additional paperwork comes from my doctor. So now I'll be "out of compliance" because I'm not wearing the mask due to a hole drilled into my skull. read more

Michel was incredibly kind and professional. I had a BIPAP pickup with a mask fitting and Michel was amazing. She helped me pick out the perfect mask for my medical issues and went out of her way to be kind. She had spent a long time before my appointment highlighting my medical chart from a sleep study and my packet of how and when to clean the parts of my BIPAP. She also covered my replacement schedule with Medicare. She made sure to give me her business card and told me to call with any problems for my machine and Mask. *** Michel is one of the kindest medical professionals I have ever dealt with after years of medical care with disabilities. She leads her patient care with a lot of heart and compassion. I feel very lucky to have Michel helping me with my BIPAP moving forward. The worst company! I have EVER worked with to fulfill a prescription. My prescription was written by a board certified Neurologist/Somnologist. Also approved by Medicare as I called them to confirm. The untrained people employed by PH wanted another sleep study. A study is not needed at this time. A CPAP machine lasts approximately 20,000 hours. And one is not needed or required. I have been ordering supplies for several years and have never been to keep up with their billing. They hound me to re-order by call after call after call, as well as messages. Then when I order there is no invoice with the package. I have to wait and wait for an invoice in the mail. Then I pay and it has to be an actual check mailed to them and then cashed. The process takes so long and then I get an invoice on what I paid plus new supplies, so I ended up overpaying. When I want to get the clear hose for my mask, I have to buy a whole kit with a bunch of different size cushions. A total scam and waste. When I finally do answer and ask for cushions, they tell me I cannot order just cushions. I do not even have more than 3 episodes a night, but the doctor says I have to wear the cpap for the rest of my life! The operator asks how my machine is and when I say water builds up in the tubing they have no clue why. BE AWARE--THIS COMPANY IS COMMITTING FRAUDULENT BILLING OF INSURANCE COMPANIES. I would give a zero if that was an option. I made an appointment a month and a half ago for Oct 1, 2025 at 1130 am. I confirmed that appointment about Sept 25 and I asked if they had enough information and if I needed to know anything else about the appointment. My insurance covers 100% of all cpap and cpap supplies with no deductible. At no time was I told I would have to put a credit card on my account with them, nor that they had arranged with my insurance that I should be on a rent to own for a cpap machine. I have been using one for 12 years. Even though I was 20 minutes early for my appointment, the person at the front desk told me that if I did not give them my credit card that they would mark me as late for my appointment. I did not have that appointment as I could not get past the person at the front desk, so I called my insurance company while standing at the desk and the person behind the desk refused to talk to my insurance company. So I left and continued my conversation with the nice lady on the phone. Today I received the following email: Dear Valued Customer, We wanted to again thank you for choosing Performance Home Medical for your sleep therapy needs. To help you be successful in using your CPAP or BiPAP we wanted to emphasize a couple points we discussed during your equipment setup Compliance: Many insurance companies require that you rent the device during a rental period to establish that you benefit from the therapy. This usually means using your equipment 4 hours a night 70% of the time. Once you have met that goal (after 30 days but before 90) you will need to follow up with your doctor. We recommened making that appointment now. Supply Replacement: To ensure success with your CPAP or BiPAP you are going to need to regularly change your supplies. Your mask, cushion, and filters are a lot like a tooth brushes or water filters, they need to be changed regularly to work. Equipment was ordered, showed up promptly. The at home teaching session was great and covered everything i needed to know.

This company will harass you. You will get calls many times a week and sometimes more than once a day if you are eligible for resupply. If there is an issue assessing your compliance they will make you come in to show them your SD card rather than fix/replace your device. Over and over. They will let you know you are not complaint with yet more calls. They will do this forever as a lack of compliance affects them more than you. Asking them to call you less does not work. Asking them to stop calling does not work. If you move, updating your address with them is not effective. the supplies will be sent wherever they went previously. I had called them multiple times to change my address and still had supplies shipped elsewhere over and over. Buy your own supplies on Amazon. read more

Very disappointing customer service. Performance has never been great, but eventually I could work through the issues and get what I needed. This time, I can't get any action at all. The issue is that I placed an order several weeks ago. Performance says it shipped. I have never received it. Many calls that go unanswered, or voice mails that aren't returned. Emails with identical responses including tracking numbers that aren't in the carriers system. And of course the emails are from addresses that won't accept a response. What to do? I don't know. But I wish I had never started with them. read more

Review is for overall corporation, not this location. They said my CPAP supply prescription was too old and required me to get a new one, which is wierd for a lifelong condition but ok. After sending the prescription they did not answer for two weeks so I sent a follow up. Still no answer after a week so I am trying a different company. If this is how they treat people who want to become customers, I can't imagine how they treat existing customers. read more

In the years I have been getting supplies from them I have only ever had one bill before this last time. This last refill of supplies they informed me if there was any issue with insurance I would be told. Then a month later I get a bill for hundreds of dollars. When I spoke to a lady in billing she was the worst most insulting person I have ever had to deal with. I can not stress this enough get your supplies some where else. I would not even give this company a rating, there account department is terrible, they tried to charge me for an invoice that was paid for. They claim it was a back invoice they submitted to my insurance that wasn't paid. I never went thru insurance for my monthly fee till paid for. They gave me items at the Lynnwood location without telling me they would be sending me an outrageous bill. I took it all right back. If I could give them less than 1 star I would. This is CPAP supply business is such an automatic business that these people just do NOT care about providing ANY kind of customer service. My doctor sent my prescription to them and after 3 weeks I heard nothing so I called them. After spending several minutes navigating their voice mail announcements and waiting on hold, I got someone who acted like they were doing me a favor taking my call. As it turned out apparently my doctor sent them the wrong form for Medicare. "Did you call my doctor to tell them this?" I asked. Not sure if anyone did or not was the reply This started a back-and-forth that lasted for 6 weeks and in the meantime, I'm without badly needed supplies. After waiting that long I decided to try Norco in Seattle. An Aaron there was VERY helpful. However, one time I called and he wasn't there so I ended up with a "Becky" who was curt and rude. What this taught me? I need to go in to this kind of business myself. All you have to do it treat people with courtesy and respect and you're going to own the market! read more

Absolutely ridiculous!!!I have been trying for days to get a hold of ANYONE in their office. I have called multiple numbers including the local number for Lynnwood, then their main numbers. They put you on hold for half an hour then hang up. Their "we will call you back" feature doesn't work because no one has called me back ever!!! Shouldnt a medical office show a bit more accountabilit? I finally drove to the local office only to find 2 front desk ladies doing nothing. Since my last review, I have had nothing but good experiences with PHM. I've had to call regarding a couple of issues, including a water leak with my CPAP device. The representative, Randi, was very helpful in troubleshooting possible reasons for the leak and suggested solutions, giving me plenty of information and options. We decided that a visit to a nearby office to have a clinician troubleshoot the device was the best and she set up an appointment for me. This is what customer service should be like! read more

This company sucks. They charge more than double the amount that the items can be bought for on Amazon for C-Pap replacement supplies. (The filters are 10x the cost you can get them for on Amazon), but imagine this, they have a contract with my Blue Cross insurance and my insurance says I must buy my supplies through them to get reimbursed for 80% co-insurance. They call with automated messages daily and if you pick up the phone, you are on hold for over a 1/2 hour to try and talk to someone, but of course they have an automated pay system that you can pay in 5 minutes instead of wait on hold. (In my situation they neglected to tell me there were 3 different 90 day compliance times where I had to use the C-Pap machine, before they could bill my insurance. I was compliant, but the cell phone signal is week in my area and it may not be registering) Once I am done this year I will never ever use them again! I would rather pay out of pocket than go through the torture of dealing with this company. As I write this I was on hold over 40 minutes to get a live person and she could not tell me anything I needed to know and had to transfer me and I was on hold again. read more

Rents old wore out equipment that is unreliable at best. I went through 4 oxygen generaters in 2 months One lasted 2 hours Now they are happy just dropping off broken equipment and collecting the rent fees. Examples include oxygen bottles with leaking regulators x2 and the bottle filling machine broken on delivery, and that was just this week. Dropped that piece of equipment on friday and now 6 days later still have no working machine, have called every day and got promise only to come out but so far promises never met I bet the rent will not be discounted to the insurance company . read more

I was recommended to Performance Home Medical for my CPAP and was told it would be 2 weeks to receive my CPAP. 2 months later after multiple phone calls only to be ignored THE ENTIRE TIME I was finally given a call from them to receive my device. THEN, when the device finally shipped, the mask was never sent. I am still waiting for the mask. I find myself wondering how they stay in business with this sort of service. For me, sleep apnea has been life altering. Performance Home Med doesn't seem to have the same sense of urgency as their customers. read more

I have been trying to obtain my CPAP supplies for over 4 months and everytime I contact them there is an excuse...first no prescription on file, then waiting on insurance approval, now no prescription on file again. My husband was sent here by his doctor for a CPAP machine. Despite the requests and statements to the staff that the mask they sold me didn't fit right they insisted that the Large was the biggest they had. Machine and supplies were returned because it DID NOT fit right and ZERO support from the staff. I don't believe that the mask is as large as possible. It was THIS brand of mask that didn't come in a larger size. Selling a product by a certain supplier instead of providing the medical care prescribed. This company has rude phone reps and terrible communication skills. I spent two weeks trying to get sleep records from my doctor's office to them. My doctor kept insisting they had sent everything they had (which it turns out they did), but Performance still needed something else. Finally, in desperation, I asked the re for her manager, initiated a 3-way phone call (something the performance rep said she couldn't do, even though I doubt their phones lack the capacity to make conference calls), and FORCED them to talk to each other. The end result is still a lot of work on my end which should not have been necessary. I would highly, highly recommend anyone avoid this terrible company if they have any sort of life threatening medical condition (as I do) and need your medical device or supplies in a timely manner. read more

I have ALWAYS felt that performance home medical is there only to sell sleep supplies. The customer service representatives call themselves sleep coaches, but most of them are barely able to answer questions about the supplies much less your sleep or equipment problems. They are there to take your order and that is it. You can guarantee they will call as soon as you are eligible for more equipment, whether you need it or not. The in person appointments I have had to fit a sleep cushion, have been OK, though with the pandemic that service is limited. This last time I called them I was simply ordering equipment. I have new insurance, so I gave them all of that information. I was supposed to have supplies that next week. No supplies. I received a phone call a week later informing me that the insurance would not fill my supply order without a new sleep study or in person visit with my doctor. I had both 6 months ago, but apparently this did not suffice. None of this made any sense to me as a call to my doctor should have verified that I had already fullfilled this requirement. They did say that with COVID, they may be able to defer that or substitute an online appointment. After speaking with the representative, I was under the impression that she was satisfied that we could defer the visit and she once again took my address for the order fullfillment. Still no supplies. Then I get a letter in the mail repeating everything that was told me in the phone call about my needing a sleep study and/or visit with my doctor. I called my insurance and they told me there is no such requirement in order to reorder supplies. I am trying to get Performance Home Medical on the phone as we speak. I waited for 2 hours for an in-line callback...no callback. I called them again, and this time the message I get over and over is "There are no representatives available. Please continue to hold." There is no message about how long the hold might be, where I am in line, no option to hold my place and have them call me back, and nothing about how they will get to me as soon as possible.....just noone is available, continue to hold. Why would anyone do that if noone is available to answer? Very poor customer service. read more

Made an appointment to see them today and gave them all my current information. They called me ten minutes before my appointment asking me to call them. I was already there. Met with the "sleep coach" and said that they did not have a current prescription for a cpap and I need to go to the company that I was currently buying supplies from. No effort to help a previous customer. I need this machine to sleep. My current doctor tried several times in the past to send valid prescriptions to them and they claimed to never have gotten anything. No effort to contact my doctor.... Nothing. I like that you can call and have your supplies shipped to your home. There are times when it is best to go in and get refitted, like when a mask does not fit. Others have complained that masks do not come bigger than a large and that was a real problem for me. Last person fitted me with a large that actually was large enough. Service is better from some of the employees than others at this place. My CPAP doc said they are the best bet locally. read more

I would strongly caution anyone who is considering doing business with Performance Home Medical. My experience has been troubled, to say the least. While the service staff at the clinic level were great, their back-office operations are horribly flawed. Their billing system is broken, no other way to put it. They invoice late (if at all), do not properly reconcile insurance payments and what's worse, refuse to assist in cleaning up messes their business office creates. Caveat Emptor, big time. read more
