It's based solely on the booking process. I was able to book an appointment on Sunday for Monday morning, but they called early Monday and said they couldn't make it until Tuesday. That caused me to miss out on other companies that had Monday availability and wasted valuable time on something we needed done as soon as possible. They need to get their scheduling system figured out.

The pipes had already been cleaned under the sink, but it turned out there was a blockage in some old pipes in the wall. He came back the next day and opened up the wall in a bedroom behind the sink in the bathroom. He was able to clean out the pipes and replace a pipe that had been corroded and ended up breaking during the auger process. Brent and his coworker worked quickly to diagnose the problem and also cleaned up everything before leaving. I was very impressed with his work ethic and thoroughness with the job, as well as his honesty regarding what needed to be done. He gives a two hour window when he is coming to allow you to plan your day and his time for scheduling is very reasonable and not far out. Sometimes same day, or a few days later, depending on the situation. I will definitely call Brent again when I have plumbing problems that need to be fixed.

Replacement of Water Heater. The heater started leaking, I contacted the manufacturer and he provided a free replacement. However the big question for me was who will replace it. Yelp came in handy, I listed my request and Yelp recommended 4-5 Plubing services. Couple of them sent me their inability to service my request. However Aaron from APS Plumbing called me in 15 minutes, took details, I sent him pictures and he gave me solution and he did not stop only at that. He came in, he inspected and confirmed his quote. Next day morning he did the complete work in just under 2 hours and basically educated me about Heater and how to take care of complete water solutions in home. He was excellent. Look no further for your plumber! Aaron is hands-down the best plumber I have ever dealt with. He is a self-confessed detail person, so makes sure everything is working well (even things we did not know were a problem!) We had some old valves that needed replacement and he not only replaced the valves, but checked and adjusted our home water pressure and fixed several other problems. He responds quickly and made time to visit our home within the next day. Even though our jetted tub was not installed properly, he found a way to repair the installation. Over many years we have used OWH for two replacement cycles of our two heaters. Dan is very honest…read moreand straightforward, and extremely knowledgeable about water heaters. This week we had an issue with one of our heaters, and Dan and Allie came with a $300 repair kit and a $1,600 replacement water heater. Dan quickly saw that the gas valve replacement kit would solve the issue and immediately went that route. Eight years ago Dan revealed the "secrets" of making a good water heater last a good long time: 1. Keep the temperature setting constant, even if leaving the house for an extended period. This keeps the water tank from contracting and expanding due to changes in water temps. 2. Check the anode yearly and change when necessary. Owner manuals tell how and why. 3. Run household water softener systems at the lowest possible setting. Such systems are the enemy of water heaters. OWH's prices are below others I have checked. Water heaters are very expensive in Utah now because of our rules requiring ultra-low NOX heaters to be used in accordance with California regulations (yes, California). Ultra-low NOX heaters are ultra-expensive.
