I showed them what I wanted and this is exactly it!

Great communication, it's always a good laugh. They make sure to get the job done but never rush my services. I love it.

Overlay with gel polish. About $30

Been getting dipping powder for about 6 weeks but they have cracked and chipped within 1 week of getting them done. So I switched to overlay with gel polish.

I came here to get my nails done last week Tuesday I spent 140$ that including tips. Received pedicure with acrylic also a full set. Less than a week later i have to come back I got my nails done Tuesday I been trying to get a point since Thursday it's Monday and they refuse to fix my nails. My nails are lifting which I know happens but it happen normally a week and a half in. I do not recommend this nail salon to anyone not to mention they do not use new tools for pedicure which I thought was against some type of sanitation law or something but please do not waste ur money or time

The design fell off my nail within 2 days and then it became breaking. I was not happy with overall service.

My nails stayed on for more than a month. Service was a bit pricey for what I pay in DC. I'll go here if I need to

Most relaxing nail appointment I've ever had! I did not once feel the stressful -get in & get out-…read morehustle that I've always experienced at nail salons. This place was beautiful, calm, clean, and super friendly. Ken did exactly what I asked for, and the other staff all seemed just as great. I will definitely be back!

I was a customer for about 5 months. No problem with dip powder until I decided to try the gel set…read morecalled "Tiana Collection" As Ken started the set, I noticed a burning sensation after the 2nd nail was done. I let him know it was burning and suggested he lower the UV light that he used to set the gel. He mentioned that the light only had 1 setting and that he couldn't change it. As he continued, I suggested to move the heated UV lamp further away from my nail bed as the temperature and position he had it in was burning my nail bed. I mentioned this as a reminder several times. When I got home that evening, I had to take Tylenol and add ice to my nails to sooth the burning sensation. At this point, I was concerned because the burning radiated from my fingers up my arms. Went the at shop opened, I contacted Ken to let him know what happened. He had me come in to remove the gel. I also asked for compensation, at least a percentage of my money back or have him do dip set later. Jennifer told me they took the gel set off, and took time doing my nails, so there was no compensation or refund of any kind. I suggested to file an insurance claim as this was an injury due to a product they provided. She told me insurance will not pay for it and she didn't see whether I deserved a refund. I have never experienced this sort of hospitality or service at any nail salon. I came here as a referral from a coworker. While still getting familiar with this area, I thought this place would offer great service. If you are thinking of getting nails done at here, be aware because it's not about customer service it's more about money for them. I always wondered why fee for services changed often when I got the same thing each time. Hidden fees no consideration for how they treat their customers. Deluxe pedi and gel with 2 horrible nail designs totaled - $145 and still burning from lamp. Go someplace else. UPDATE: Several hours later, Jennifer, the owner, left me a voicemail asking me to call her back. I returned the call believing she might offer an apology, discount, or some form of resolution. Instead, the conversation focused on my review and why I had posted it. She reiterated that because I chose the service, I was not entitled to any compensation. When I suggested continuing the discussion after she finished with her customer, she declined and continued explaining why she would not provide a refund, discount, or credit. This entire experience was disappointing. Mistakes and adverse reactions can happen, but what stood out to me was being told, "I'm not going to argue with you," when I was simply expressing surprise and concern about what had happened. I was not arguing at all, and the comment felt dismissive. I was left wondering whether I was being treated differently, possibly because I am an African American woman. Regardless of the reason, I did not feel heard or respected during the conversation. Reactions can happen, but how a business responds to a customer who has been injured or harmed by a service says a lot about its values. Unfortunately, I felt dismissed, blamed, and left without any Potential customers should be aware of my experience and make their own informed decision. Wow

I hate writing bad reviews but had such a negative experience here. My nails are so ugly after…read morespending over two hours here, I seriously almost cried. I was shocked because of the good reviews and specifically was excited to work with David, who has great reviews here. Firstly, it's a rare treat for me to get my nails done because I'm a new mom. I came in with a grown-out BIAB manicure from a different salon and asked for a builder gel manicure with a cats eye design. David said this was ok and that he would do the builder gel, then another manicurist would do the cats eye. He started filing my nails and immediately cut them down to the quick even though I asked him to leave some length. He was super rough with the skin around my nails, which now looks worse than when I came in. Then the plan somehow changed and he started doing my cats eye design even though he said he didn't know how to. He insisted that a black gel base would make the color look better, even though I chose a light cats eye color. The result of this effort was that my nails looked like black buttons with chunky white glitter on them. He insisted that the gel and magnets were "not working" and that's why he couldn't get the cats eye to work. Then he suggested I simply leave with the black color, which looked awful and sooo different from what I picked. I asked to remove the black and he agreed, then suggested that I simply "come back tomorrow." At that point I had been there almost two hours with nothing to show for it so I just asked to do a basic gel color. This also took ages and was super messy. I had to ask him multiple times to clean off gel that spilled onto my skin, which is dangerous! Even after that, the manicure looks extremely sloppy and thick. He kept filing and filing my nails even after I pointed out that I was in pain. After over two hours, the results were terrible and they could tell I wasn't happy. The owner and David were defensive when I pointed out this was not what we agreed to. David even argued that it was my fault, saying that he could have served two customers in the time it took to do my nails. However, there were no other customers to serve--and I have zero control over how long it takes him to do things. I still left a full tip and paid for the service despite the awful experience and the fact that they somehow tried to blame me for the outcome. I had high hopes but will not be back.

Unlike many salons, there wasn't a strong chemical smell, which made the experience so much more enjoyable. They have a huge selection of polish colors, the pricing is fair, and they even offer a complimentary drink with your service. The staff was incredibly kind and welcoming throughout my visit. The only small downside was that my nail technician didn't speak much English, so communication was a little difficult at times. That said, she was very sweet, did a great job, and I appreciated how hard she worked. Parking was easy with a nearby parking garage, making the whole visit convenient. Overall, I'd definitely recommend this salon and will be coming back!

Seats non vibrating/massaging…read more I came here to get a pedicure the day before attending a wedding. I got the regular saloon pedi which was $55 but was charged $60 due to them picking the color I wanted. Apparently that brand of polish dries quickly. The space is very clean and they have you wash hands before picking your color which I love. They also give you a welcome drink. I got a Bellini which tasted well. Their chairs don't have the massage feature like many other salons do but are comfortable. The $60 pedicure comes with a scrub, hot oil massage, a steam towel foot wrap. The nail tech didn't push me for additional services or to upgrade to gel at all which was so refreshing. The work was done relatively quickly and well. I'd come back here for a pedi if I need one asap. For fingernails, they only do regular and gel manis and not specialized services like dip powder or acrylics.
