I would never recommend this company. My 84 year old dad ordered a wine fridge from them a full year plus ago. He decided to cancel the order because he called there so many times and was never given a delivery date. As of today, almost two weeks after he cancelled the order he has still yet to receive the refund. Even after a personal call with Laura the manager who said she would initiate the refund. Still not done. I tried to assist my dad and was put on hold for 37 minutes when I eventually hung up. When o called back, their rude receptionist said the worker had left for the day. She then put me on hold again and no one ever picked up. I can't imagine a business operating in this fashion and taking advantage of older people like my dad. Wow. We are longtime APSCO customers and always had good service, so when we needed a new washer and dryer recently, we immediated went to APSCO. After ordering and paying we waited several months before we received our washer and dryer. However, the dryer had a significant dent in the side. We tried for several more months to get phone calls returned and get it replaced. We finally settled for a discount on the dryer when it was obvious they were not going to replace it. Fortunately, the dryer works fine, but I didn't think I was purchasing from a "scrath & dent" outlet. A little communication from Laura and her team would have made the outcome of this experience much better. read more

If I could give a zero, I would. In May of 2021, I ordered a 4 piece kitchen appliance set from Apsco. I had done business with them previously many times over the last 25 years and was never disappointed. Times have changed. I patiently waited 13 months for my new appliances. I called every couple months to speak with Laura about the status of my order. I thought it was the prudent thing to do since I prepaid over 6k to them for this set. She informed me my microwave and dishwasher were in some time back and she would hold on to them in until the other items were in. My request. She was cordial and apologetic. Unfortunately, I was always the one initiating communication. Finally, I received a call from Rod that my appliances were in, however, the dishwasher is not the one I ordered. I asked to speak with Laura because my dishwasher was supposedly already in and being held for me awaiting the remaining pieces. Well, Laura never called me back despite my numerous requests. So, I now have a full set, but not the dishwasher I ordered and paid for which was more expensive. I received a dishwasher worth approximately 200.00 less than what I ordered. Also, the installer did not use a part I paid 27.00 for and said I should request it be refunded. Also, I was supposed to be eligible for 400.00 in rebates, but need my invoice to reflect the current delivery date, which Laura said she would provide to me, but I have never heard back from her. So, by my calculations, I am out 627.00 and NO communication back from Laura. Buyer beware! I was always pleasant and patient every time I called. Now I am speaking out! When you are in a customer service business, you really should do the right thing and not take advantage of people. After all, we are the reason you are in business. I am so disappointed in the way I was treated and discounted. Laura, if you are really the owner of the company now, Daryl Hogg must be rolling in his grave at what his company has become. My name is vishi and we ordered dishwasher on June 4th 2021 and it came on July 14th 2021. The dishwasher was awesome and Laura Greco was awesome too. We put in the first load of dishwasher on July 14th and it runs superb until now. The only reason I am giving a 4 point star instead of 5 point star because it took longer than expected but I give the benefit of the doubt that it was Covid 19 where everything has slowed down. i also got tired of begging the location by asking them when will it come. It was also embarrassing for me and for them, specially when it wasn't their fault and mine. The other reason is there was a very minor dent on the side for which I couldn't even see it but still barely seen, and I am not calling the office again for an additional discount considering it took longer because of pandemic reasons, but other than that superb service from staff and Laura who gave me a discount and we will continue to do business for future. We purchased appliances on 12/2/20 and they said they would have them by the end of January... that never happened and we would call them over and over and they would not return our calls, even though they kept saying "Laura" would call us back... we she finally did...she would have to check on our order and not call us back... we finally received 2 of our appliances (1 in March and 1 in April) after about 20 calls and still not the wall oven and cooktop... we found them other places in stock and they didn't refund our money so we disputed it on our credit card... We have been buying our appliances and receiving service from APSCO for the past 15 years. Service men; always show up on time, complete the needed repairs and charges are not astronomical. Repair men are experienced and know what they are doing, never try to sell you on a repair if you can get by without it because your appliance may be coming to its end. I ordered a new washing machine and it was delivered 5-17-21. After the delivery person left I started my first (and only) wash. The machine did the wash cycle and then quit. That was it. It wouldn't do anything else. I call the company the next morning, told them I had put a hold in the check and that I needed them to take this one away and deliver another one. I also said I wanted someone to check the machine once it was here to make sure all the cycles were working. They replied that they couldn't afford to have someone sit there and waste time watching a machine work. I said 'then come and get it' and pointed out that it was literally full of water. They said the pick up guy was coming Thurs 5-20, and he would bail the water. When he got here and saw how much water there was he refused to bail (I am disabled and can not do it myself). I called the company and they told me I would have to hire someone to bail it before they would take it. I have another washer coming tomorrow and needed that one out of here. The delivery person took pity on me and bailed it and I would up paying him. Between the check hold fee and the money I paid the delivery person I am out of pocket around $60 for nothing but a bad experience! Buyer beware when dealing with this company! Update: The guy who bailed out the washer spilled water all over my utility room; half the floor is wet. One of the hoses is doing a slow leak and I'm not strong enough to turn it all the way. I've put down a bunch of towels and will deal with this tomorrow. Really bummed right now. read more

APSCO came out to look at my washer and ended u damaging my dryer (which was working perfectly until they came out) and the tech, Casey, said he would report it and never did. I have been fighting with this company for months, they cannot find my paperwork they claim almost every time, they don't know who they sent another, finally they send out another tech to look at the washer and damage to the dryer and quote me a price to fix the washer but avoid the issues with the dryer. I have left repeated messages only one of which I am sure has reached Laura and she has left one message for me but speaking to someone at this company rather than leaving a message is impossible and the people who answer the phones are less than helpful. I finally decided once I confirmed Laura was at the office to go down after speaking to one of the employees on the phone so that we can resolve this problem. Laura was supposed to be made aware I was on my way. When I arrived, I was informed she was unavailable as she was putting together and order and then leaving for the day. I explained I needed five minutes of her time and I would wait. The man at the desk said ok but sat there and I had to ask him to please let her know this. He walked back and announced the door is closed, she's busy. Finally, after siting for 15 minutes another gentleman offered to help me and find my info in the computer speak to Laura and give her the info. If this problem resolved, I will update but as of right now, I have just left Apsco without speaking to Laura and the have assured me she will be contacting me. read more

I was very disappointed in their service scheduling. I have been purchasing appliances from Apsco for years and have always been impressed with their service technicians. As a realtor I have been sending clients to them. I scheduled service last week for an appointment after 2:30 pm and the person I scheduled it with told me that shouldn't be a problem they would call me 2 hours before they were going to arrive. After waiting a week, I received a phone call at 9:30 am that they would be at my house in an hour. I immediately called back and spoke with Jen to remind them that I needed an afternoon appointment to be told that because of where I lived I could never have an afternoon appointment. So, apparently they can never help me. Poor customer service in my opinion. I called a competitor and they assured me they could come in the afternoon on Monday. Hopefully this new company will be able to accomodate and will gain my referral business. read more

One star is far to high to rate this business. I just went through Apsco to address my ice machine not making ice. Casey the tech who came out to my home spent no more that 5 minutes, only looking at my ice machine and 4 of those minutes were on the phone getting me a quote for a new ice machine. My fridge is 1.5 years old, it shouldn't need a new ice machine. Needless to say Apsco did not repair my ice machine, charged me $59.00 to only give me a quote for $230 + tax to replace my current ice machine. I bought a refrigerator, a dishwasher and a glasstop stove from them. I was sold insurance for all from them also, $149.00 for just the stove. The stove top got a thermal break in it and the oven handle fell off and broke also. Insurance never called back for my claim. Finally my husband called them and they said I was denied because the glasstop and handle were Decorative, not essential to the stove working. Excuse me???? I needed a pry bar to open the oven and the top was unusable. After 7 weeks the stovetop came in and I was charged $435 for the top. My husband refurbished the oven handle. Then I was overcharged, bad addition, by the service guy. The Bill immediately showed up on my CC, but the CREDIT will take days, of course. Not happy with APSCO. read more

I just changed my refrigerators defrost timer in about 5 minutes and got it done today instead of waiting 2 or 3 days for a service call. Had to have repair work done on my refrigerator (it's a few years old). After having such a great experience with Apsco when purchasing my appliances, I was relieved I could just call them again to do the service. I called late afternoon on a Monday and they were out here the next day. The repair man was on time (gave me a 2-hour window), very personable, courteous and knowledgeable. They charged $59 to come out and look at the appliance to determine what's wrong and then gave me a quote for the full repair. But when I had the repair done, they applied that $59 to the repair cost. It's been a few weeks now and fridge is working just fine! I highly recommend this company for any appliance repair needed. read more

Unfortunately, this company has deteriorated from many years ago when I used them exclusively. They actually destroyed a 42 inch KitchenAid refrigerator that I was forced to replace. The techs, excluding one individual, were disasters and management was the worst I have ever dealt with. It starts with Laura, who was never available, always in a meeting, on the phone, etc., etc. After spending almost $1,500, I asked for my money back to purchase else where. In the end, I decided to take them to Small Claims Court when I did not get a proper reimbursement. I guess you could say I won because I was awarded a small amount of the $1,500 which would never cover the cost of a new 42 inch refrigerator needed to fit the empty space. I think of the time spent by me scheduling and waiting for technical support, shopping for a new one refrigerator, plus the trouble of getting the new refrigerator installed and the additional cost I did not plan on. Buyer beware, there are many stores who are fair, honest & have integrity which Apsco does not have. Don't even bother to check them out. Use you time elsewhere. If you want delivery expect to waste a day because the call you between 7-9pm the evening before and will not even try to get the delivery anywhere that is convenient for you. My wife and I bought a refrigerator at this store. We had problems from day one with food freezing up. Called the store and they said to turn it down. We turned it down. A week went by and food and beverages still freezing up. We called them again and they said they would send a repairman out. Repairman came out and said he would have to replace the temperature controller. He said that it was a common problem with new refrigerators since they sit in the warehouse and the controls stick together. He said it would be about 5 days. In the meantime, food is continuing to freeze. My wife called the store and talked the manager (his name was Gene). She told him she thought she should be compensated for the ruined food and he said he would get back to her. A girl called later to say the part was being over-nighted and would be installed the next day. The repairman came out the next day and replaced the part. Gene never called back to find out if we were happy or not. Stay away from this business as they don't really care about the customer. Food is still freezing up at the recommended setting, so I turned it down some more. read more

I've been getting my water filter replacement cartridge for my refrigerator from here for about 4 years. I recently went in and when I got home I opened the box and immediately realized it was the wrong one. So when I went back the guy explained that they couldn't do any exchanges. This upsets me because I'm in the system and they are the ones who sold me the wrong piece. The One I got was obviously not used and they would be able to resell it. I left and thought I could get it from another store but I can't find it so I'm stuck coming back here. A couple weeks later I want back to buy the correct one and I brought the one I had gotten and was hoping he would have a change of heart. As soon as I see him he immediately barks "I told you I can't take it back" I said ok... I'll take the right one.... so as usual, he looks me up in the system and he sells me the correct one. It's a shame I'm stuck with a filter I cannot use.... especially when it wasn't my fault. read more

Had Apsco come out to put new shocks on my washing machine in a vaction rental condo that I own. They forgot to hook up one of the hoses. My renter turned on the washing machine and went to the beach. Got a call from a neighbor that water was flowing out of my condo and into the hall. Had to rent a wet/dry vac and commercial carpet fans to remove the water and dry out the carpet. Called Apsco and was given an email address and person name where I could complain. They have not returned a call or responded to my email. Been 3 weeks and I don't expect one now. Will never do business with them again and neither should you. read more

He said "okay, what do you want me to do about it?" and hung up on me. I called back saying I wanted their headquarters info and he said he was headquarters and told me to tell the world how horrible their service is and hung up on me again. So, that's what I am doing...........DO NOT GIVE THIS BRANCH OF APSCO ANY BUSINESS!! They need to fire this poor excuse of a person or they will go out of business! This is not a company i would ever call for repairs again. Watch these guys closely if you do. I called because my washer stopped working. A service tech came to the house. He decided I needed a new motor. He ordered the motor. 10 days later a second appointment was made to install the new motor. The new motor did not work either so we knew something else was wrong. He found that when my washer was unbalanced it severed electrical wires. He patched the wires together and everything was fine. I asked him to put the old motor back on the washer. He told me he couldn't because he spent too much time at my house already. His only two options were for me to pay the $472 and have a working washing machine or he would disconnect everything and it would take 3 more weeks for him to schedule another appointment. I was sick writing out the check. I called the office and told the person my problem with buying a motor I did not think I needed and being bullied to make the payment. Besides the washer was not agitating. So one week later he is back. I asked him to put the old motor back. He was very defensive and condescending. The old motor worked. I checked that it was agitating. The service tech was arguing with me went back to the machine and disconnected the wires he spliced together took the new motor and wished me a good day- I have exposed hot wires next to a drum filled with water. I called to speak to the office manager- on Monday. Today is Thursday and I have not had any resolution. She just kept telling me they are booked. If you use this company watch and listed. They will sell you parts- even if you do not need them. They do not care about customer service or customer safety. read more

We needed to have our washer repaired due to an error code that was coming up. We called Apsco (since this is where we purchased the washer several years ago). They came out on 11/20/14 and we paid a $59 service call fee (this would have been deducted from total bill if they would have done the repairs). The part would need to be ordered and the repairman was not able to give an ETA. The following day my husband called to get an ETA, they told us the part was coming from a warehouse in the northeast and w/the bad weather, could take a little longer to receive it but still no ETA was given. (we were having out of town company for Thanksgiving so very disappointing). We called and checked again on 11/24, still no ETA was given. Called again on 12/1, still not ETA was given. So we decided to call another repair company (Better Homes AC & Appliance Services). They were out the following day (12/2), he didn't have the part he needed on his truck but said he would be out the following day w/the part. Our washer was finally fixed on 12/3. Wow, if only we wouldn't have wasted all that time calling Apsco. They did finally call us on 12/11 to let us know our part was finally in. read more

Beware! My husband and I purchased a washer and dryer at the Largo store. Everything was great until the next day when we had to cancel our order due to a financial problem. I called the store and the person I spoke with said he would process the refund. Six days later, no refund. I called the store and asked to speak with the manager and was told he was on the phone. I told the person on the line my problem and he stated "Oh- that won't get resolved today!" Several hours later still, no reply. I called again and spoke with my sales person who was so nice until we cancelled our order and ruined his commission. He told me to call my bank and when I stated I should not have to do that as this was a simple return, he got ugly with me and told me he would hang up on me. I ended that call and called another store to find out if there was an area manager or a corporate person I could speak with. This person also said to call my bank. He stated that they were individually owned and that the owner of the store I was dealing with just got out of the hospital so he wouldn't be able to help me. These people know nothing about customer service and are just after a sale. I was going to go back to purchase the washer and dryer again when my financial issue was resolved, but never again will I shop there due to the way I was treated. I still have not received my refund or a call from them. All I wanted was someone to look up my order and make sure it was processed properly but that was too much to ask from these "salespeople". DO NOT GO THERE! We bought a Maytag washer from them a year and 1/2 ago and purchased a 5 year extended warranty from them. Well we had to jump threw lots of hoops to get a repairman to come out and when he did he told us to replace it then we told him we had the extended warranty so he sent a repair quote to the warranty company for $886 we only paid $599 for it originally.(And by the way the warranty company is a totally different company?) So the warranty company agreed to give us $599 in store credit. So we went to Apsco and they told us the 3 1/2 year warranty we had left would no carry over to the new one and we had also purchased a base and they would not replace it and said the new LG washer would not fit on it with out ever seeing it? Yeah I don't recommend Maytag either! Like I told my wife the Maytag commercials always say the repairman is never working on them that's because they just replace them! So once I got home from Apsco I researched the LG washer and found it was like $60 dollars cheaper at Home Depot or Lowes and Apsco would not match the price? So we called the warranty company and they agreed to cut us a check for $599 but who knows when that will get here? So the money I save will have to go towards a new base unfortunately.We called the BBB and we got a call back the next day from Apsco and the lady I spoke with said maybe the repairman had a bad day? I responded that he was here at 10 A.M. so other excuses starting spewing out and I said I did not have the time to listen to excuses and hung up! So if the repairman comes out make sure it's really early because I can just imagine being the last customer of the day! read more
