When we first started with Aptive 6 years ago we were very happy with them. They always answered the phone immediately and you got to talk to a real person. They were great about coming out and doing the work and even retreating when necessary. Had an initial application for both inside and outside pest control. I had been thinking about having a company start treating my home for sometime now, but hadn't contacted anyone. I decided to go with Aptive cause they caught me at the right time I guess. Worst service ever. I requested a quote through their website on Friday, A representative named Jeff called me and walked me through it. They couldn't do what I needed without a year long contract which I didn't want, but because I'm short on time, I agreed to it. Fast forward to my appointment time 8:00-12:00 am window today (Tuesday) and they don't show! I call to confirm what time they will be coming and they have no record of my appointment or account. After they call me back (they said they needed some time to investigate), the supervisor, Laurie/Lauren says they have no information on my quote request or anything and to top it off they don't even service my area. She offered zero solutions and apologized but at this point what good does that do? I went back to their website to confirm that it was them that I requested a quote from and found that my chat with Marianne was still up (see attached photos) and I have the call history from their corporate number as well. Someone seriously messed up on this one. Will never use again. I called a local company who can take care of me today. They will have all of my future business with this house and my other rental properties. Save yourself a headache and frustration, don't bother with this company, there are many better ones out there. read more

The saleslady that was walking around soliciting Aptive was delightful so we caved and bought into this company. However, we've had nothing but problems with them not getting our appointments right, not being able to follow directions to get to our place and Customer Service on the phone was less then acceptable. read more

1 star is too much for this service! First spray was "free" and the spray was an absolute joke. When I say minimal, I mean the fewest possible parts, 4 corners, of my house were sprayed. Next appointment was set up for 8am-12pm window time. NO ONE showed up, NO ONE called to confirm cancellation, NO ONE reached out to reschedule. When I called to ask why no one had showed, the lady said it was rescheduled for the next week that NOBODY confirmed about. Called in to cancel and they want to charge a $199 cancellation fee since it is past the '3 day grace period' when signing up. The lady offered a $30 coupon to me when my wife took half a day vacation for absolutely no one to call or show. This is pathetic service from start to finish. Excuse me while I couldn't tell the future of how non-existent the service is at Aptive from technicians to phone support. I would HIGHLY recommend NOT wasting your time because they will NOT make it right when they screw up. read more

My wife was told that the contract could be canceled at anytime if not satisfied. Also that each visit cost $120. They took a $150 after the visit. They had to be called back twice. She was totally off satisfied. Today they called and she told them she wanted to cancel the service. They told her that there was a $199.00 cancellation fee! So the salesman NATE lied and misrepresented the cancellation policy. The representative on the phone even acknowledged that yes you can cancel at anytime but you must pay the fee. $199 for doing nothing? If you do not schedule an appointment they cannot debit your account. He threatened to report us to the credit bureau. We are reporting them to the BBB. So we are going to stop payment at the bank and take them to JP Court for fraud and using predatory and deceptive business practices. Do not use them! Aptive has been a great company since we started using them; wow was it last summer already??; and their products don't even harm the feral cat colony who use our backyard as a hangout, OR our two indoor cats. This company spent 10 hours in my private neighborhood yesterday knocking on doors (soliciting) after every one of my neighbors told them to leave. They simply went on to more houses. This continued until 9o'clock at night, and we had to call the cops to get them to finally go. There is a clear no soliciting sign on the front gate of the neighborhood, and several neighbors have similar signs on their front doors. They disregarded them all, as well as all requests to leave. read more

Technician was on the property to do the service for a total of four to five minutes. My first visit was acceptable, the following three visits have all gone this way. Called corporate to complain. I was redirected to the local office without any further conversation. The local office is the problem for minimal service at a $100 charge for every visit. Corporate behavior is unacceptable. Horrible customer service and poor scheduling practices (an email stating the day you will receive service, with no time window). DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! read more

Aggressive door to door soliciting even with my no soliciting sign. The same guy even tried to come to my house twice in one day.

The salesman came to our door and was very aggressive. They do not abide by "No soliciting" signs. When I answered, they said they wanted to do a mosquito treatment, no mention of a contract. I said I already have a reliable service under contract I've used for 20 years. The salesman kept insisting he could do a mosquito treatment (again no mention of contract or future committment). I hate to be rude to people trying to make a living, but he would not take no for an answer. I just shut the door during his continual pitch. Don't open the door to these people. Don't bother. This place offers terrible service. In just 2 and a half months I've been stood up, had my follow-up service run a month late, had to wait 10 days for retreatment, and have never had customer service even pretend that they give a damn about any of this. This service has cost me more money for all the pest treatments I've had to buy myself to treat ongoing issues that they are too slow to actually handle. Huge waste of time and money. You have so many other options, surely most of them are better than this one. read more

This has been the worse pest control service experience that I have ever had. I opened service back on April 14th and initially everything went great. I opted to pay for the service in full for one year at $385 and this is where thing turned. After initial visit a pest control rep was to come back in 30 days but for whatever reason I could not get anyone to respond to messages left. Well 60 days later I got my what was to be free follow up service and bam got charge $96.34 for the service. I immediately called and said it was going to be credited back to my account but days later when I called back I was told there was no charge made on my account and I would have to show proof that I was over charged. Well I did and then received a reply from the service rep that I would get a credit back on my account. This was in June 14ish. Well now we are July 11 and still no refund and I have since cancelled service and was told I would get a full credit and still no credit. So I'm out $385 plus another $96. That Aptive refuses to refund, telling me that the refund was made and that my back is taking a few days to process on there end. Well no not a month later. Highly do not recommend Aptive for your Pest Control needs. Horrible Service. read more

We are in San Antonio and just had a person knock on our door several times. This salesperson was not wearing a mask and was going door to door during a global health crisis. He stood two feet from our door even as my husband continued to attempt to step back and maintain distance. As my husband attempted several times to end the conversation, the salesperson continued to push his sales pitch while not social distancing. I view this is a health concern and feel it should be reported. I do not see a way to email or contact the local office besides a phone number. read more

Have had their folks stop by my house two to three times a day every week for several weeks. I gather since I work at home that they have one crew that goes out during the day, and another that goes out early evening. Since asking politely to have them stop coming doesn't seem to get their attention, and they don't seem to be able to have their left hand know what their right hand has already done (hence the multiple visits a day), I can only warn others about this organization. read more

My service today was a waste of time and money. My quarterly was scheduled in March 2nd but I called to reschedule. Someone still came out and obviously none of my back yard was done because I was not home and my gates are locked. I called and asked why someone came and was told that they had a glitch in the system that caused the original service to not be canceled. I finally had someone come out today but he only addressed specific concerns such as 1 wasp nest that he knocked down with the brush, changed 2 glue traps, sprayed only in front of the garage door and made 1 sweep through the middle of my back yard with granules for fleas (all caught on my cameras). I even told him that I moved everything away from my back porch so he could access it but he never sprayed anything else, even though my quarterly service was not performed in March in my backyard. He was here for less than 10 minutes and didn't even tell me he was gone so I could at least close my garage and lock my gate. I realized he had left after I got a text asking how was service was. I called to complain and cancel and all I got was "sorry, we'll cancel you". Yet I paid for my last quarterly service which still has never been done. I should get a refund of half of my last payment since these services were completed. We've had Aptive for years and the quality has consistently gone down. I should not have to walk around with the employees to ensure that even the basic services are performed. Update Received a refund for this last quarterly payment after they reviewed the video I sent of part of the "service". Looking for a new pest control company! read more

I have not used Aptive for their pest control services, but I wanted to share my experience with them. I was recently in a near accident with one of their drivers after he was driving extremely reckless and aggressively. After what he assumed was me cutting him off (when in reality I was simply merging and he had gone ahead and merged ahead of time behind me, while he still had a solid line instead of a dashed one) he then proceeded to tailgate me extraordinarily close, then drive around and swerve in front of me and make multiple attempts to run me off the road. I have made numerous attempts to reach out to Aptive about the issue, only to sit on hold for over 30 minutes at a time and be dropped, with no attempts to reach back out via phone or email. I can only assume this is indicative of other facets of their operation and would strongly advise everyone to go with an organization that values integrity more than this one clearly does. read more

This is the second review for this company. After their sales representative made a sales call on my home and ordering service, they were at my home on the same day to treat our home. Under the sales agreement the first treatment was substantially discounted and there would be a second treatment approximately 30 days after the initial treatment. That appointment was made and after sitting at home all afternoon waiting for the "service pro" there was a no show even after receiving texts and emails confirming the appointment. When I called the person on the phone apologized that there was s glitch in their system and we rescheduled the appointment for 9/26 (2 weeks later). Today we waited all afternoon for the "service pro" and when the arrival window passed I called to see when the tech would be at my home. Again I got the excuse that there was a "glitch" in their system blah blah blah... but she also said that there was a service pro call off for the day also. All she would do was apologize. When I asked to speak to a supervisor there was no one to talk with and that a message would be given for a call back. Needless to say, I would NEVER refer anyone to use Aptive for pest control. read more

Wow no call, appointment was set for 10:30 -12:30 & it's 2pm. This is a special appointment where I can't have my pregnant daughter or granddaughter around. They have to be gone for 2 hrs after treatment. Wow they knew I had a contract for over 10 yrs with another company & cancelled the contract due to guys not doing the correct treatment & total lack of customer service. I signed up for a one year program but said in advance that I would not sign a contract. I said that if they did a good job, I would keep them and if not, I would look elsewhere. (I used my last pest control company for many years until my service tech retired.) Shortly after my third of four services, I had an infestation of pests in my home and called Aptive for help. My calls were not returned and when I finally reached someone I was told they were short staffed due to Covid and could not help me. Thus, I requested that my service be cancelled, for which I never signed a contract in the first place. Today I received a bill from a collection agency billing me for the fourth service, which I never received in the first place. read more

He was very friendly, arrived on time, removed all of our yellow jacket nests that were tucked away in the fence, treated our fire ant beds AND the usual treatments that Aptive does both inside and outside. After our first service our ants and wasps got worse (this is over a week after). I emailed two times to reschedule a service: no response. I went onto the app to reschedule a service: no response. I emailed two times through the the app: no response. When I called I had to wait over 30 minutes and hung up. I then called back to cancel my membership with them and the man told me (after being on hold 25 minutes and having to call back a third time) I should receive confirmation of my cancellation in 3-5 business days. It has been 7 and I have not heard anything. I just called to ask about it and the person hung up on me! One star is being generous. I would give a 0 if possible. I have been using this company for two years and except for one occasion I feel the service has been performed with excellence. Our snail problem has significantly decreased. Their price is reasonable and comparable to other service companies I considered and if you call between services they don't hesitate to send someone out. Do not sign up for Aptive Environmental pest control services. For a company which prides itself for customer service, they are under-performing. I am a new customer and cannot get a hold of them directly. Every time I call their service line they are "experiencing a high volume of calls" and on hold for quite some time. Their system finally tells you they will call you back when someone is available and hangs up on you. the most recent callback was at 10:34 p.m. CST. Unfortunately, I was asleep and did not answer. I wish there was a lower rating than a one star for this company. This company has come by my house 3 different times in one day. The 1st time they came by was when my kids were at home alone and as i was at work I got on out security camera asking if I could help them and the sales guy asked if we were interested in this service I politely thank you but no. This guy said ok have a good day. Later that same day a different guy came by for the same thing and as I was cooking dinner i did the same thing and got on our security asking if I could help him and he said he was here for pest control I of course said thank you but no. He tells me I have to come outside and speak to him in person very demanding. This guy wouldn't leave off my door step for a good 2min after I said we weren't interested. About an hour later he comes back to my house and ding dong ditch my house. After speaking to my neighbors these guys have been doing this all day and week to them as well. These workers need to understand that they shouldn't be so demanding to people and telling them they HAVE to come outside to speak to them this is summer and most kids are at home alone, and I would hate if a kid fell for this and something happened to them. No one should be this demanding to people at their on home where that's where we feel the safest especially in these days. I started using Aptive after a neighbor referred a sales guy down to our house this summer. What I've appreciated is how easy they are to communicate with. They give reminder calls, but even with that, so forgot to leave our gate unlocked. They called, and arranged to go complete another house and then come back and do ours the same day so we could get home and unlock the gate and make sure we kept our dog inside to keep her away from the chemicals. The kid came out, knocked on the door and bailed before we could answer. Then I get a phone call saying I would have to reschedule to have the back yard done because they couldn't get in the back yard so they could spray the back. They didn't even wait for us to answer the front door! We didn't get a notice saying what time they would be here! Nothing! Then I called them to try to cancel my account because they already charged my bank account and I don't even know if they did anything because they were gone in the minute it took for my daughter to answer the door. The lady called me back saying that because I'm now in contract for a year, I can cancel at a charge! What the holy hell???? I just don't have time for this! Ugh. So disappointed in falling for it. This company is horrible. They have not fulfilled their contract and if you go by months it was supposed to be up in June and that was when they came for the third time not including the revisits. I'm not sure what they are spraying but my main complaint is spiders and they've not killed any. The webs are back up the immediate days after spraying. They are bad outside but even worse inside.
