1. They've move to old town and need to change their address. 2. They've dropped the spa part of the business. I wish they still had it. So they have a dual personality going on. They function like a chiropractic office, but a nicer setting. Not quite spa like. It's more energetic rather than chill and I miss the quiet zen from before. I miss the dual purpose too. But, 3. They are taking good care of me. I am healing. 4. I like Dr. Dan, his knowledge and ability are great and he cares. So, I'll keep going just for maintenance because, it helps. I'm only being generous with two stars because the actual massage technicians are very sweet. Trying to get a massage is the hard part. The front desk is HORRIBLE! I can never get an appointment, the front desk is RUDE (if they will even answer the phone) and forget about trying to talk to the manager or the doctor if you have any concerns because they "don't have time for you." After being pushed to edge I asked for my money back and to break ties with this establishment. I've yet to be reimbursed for over $100 in services that I've asked for and haven't gotten. This place will rip you off. They sicken me of how they find a way to try and steal your money. I really wonder how many ppl they've taken money from, without them even knowing. Couple of years back. I was a cash paying patient. Suffering from horrible spine issues. They took my insurance info when I had already told them there was no need to call them I had called my self and it wasn't worth me going through insurance, so I would just pay out of pocket. They insisted. So I said fine call but it's waisted time on your end. No matter what I'm going to pay out of pocket. I made it clear to them TWICE! Come to find out at the end of the year they took my cash PLUS they were billing my insurance at the same time. There even billed for ridiculous "services" that I wouldn't get some days!! Even for icing my back. (I still have all my documents and bank info that I can prove all this) After I found out. I got in contact with the "manager" which is actually just the wife. She's the rudest person. That after me explaining everything. She basically said...too bad and hung up on me. (Not exact words) but pretty much close to it. This place should be thankful. At the moment I couldn't sue them! (My ins said I had a pretty good case) I couldn't do it, Due to me ending up having to have spine surgery and I had a newborn. Karma is a B....! 3G's taken from my HSA! Sickening!! Plus my cash. Plus now they try this on me? Charging my card I once had in file. "Glitch" SURE! I liked the doctor and my massage. But the place seemed really busy, maybe overbooked? It was crowded and felt a little chaotic. The reason for 3 stars is because the front desk was just not very good. First of all, I called and left a message no one ever called me back. I had to call 3 times before I caught someone in order to make my appointment. The doctor wanted to see me again the next week, but the receptionist didn't even offer to make the appointment when I was leaving and I felt rushed out. I called and again to schedule my next appointment, and again I didn't get a person. In their defense, this time I did not leave a message this time, but no one called me back last time so... And no one has called me to set up an appointment and I just don't have time to keep calling to try to set up an appointment. I really wish they had their stuff together up front because I really need good chiropractic care for my migraines, but I don't want to have to work so hard to get an appointment. read more

To reinstate my previous review from 4 months...I ended up getting a call and we addressed all issues!! They definitely have gone on and beyond for me to make me feel better!! Dr. Dan truly does have healing hands!! Always takes his time w every patient and always trying his best to get u out pain free and for you to be pain free until your next visit. Hands down the worst place I have ever been. They billed my insurance on top of me paying cash for my services. I let the front desk know so I could get my money back that I paid, if they were going to bill my insurance anyway, that was useless. They are beyond rude and incompetent. They are very unprofessional and do not seem like they know what they are doing. Its always chaotic, my appts have been canceled without me being informed, I have received 45 min services when I paid for 60 mins and now I find out they are double billing, which is very unethical and illegal. Manager or owner is never available to speak with. I did some research to see if this was common or if anyone else experienced this issue, during my research I found out "Dr. Dan" had his licensed pulled in California and that's why he drives to Arizona weekly for his practice, this is why you can never speak with him and why there is never a manager there. He doesn't even live in the state of Arizona. Its sad and embarrassing that you can just open another place in another state after losing your license, then continue to screw people over the way you did in the previous state. So I've just written this ginormous review that stated in depth all of the reasons why we will never go back here, but decided to delete it and start over to make it short and sweet - consumers really want the facts, so all of my frustrations coming out in a 9 paragraph review isn't going to help. So here's my short and sweet review: 1. It is extremely difficult to communicate with the booking staff - they are constantly trying to push the membership on you, and don't seem to be listening when you state your requests: when you start the call off by saying you are only looking for afternoon appointments and she looks through the availability and excitedly proclaims, "I found one! Wednesday at 9:30 am!" That means she's not listening to you. 2. Even though I have no idea what their personal opinions/work ethics are, it's wrong and extremely bad business to call someone 15 minutes before their appointment time and tell you, "Sorry, but the therapist is sick so we sent her home." Yuma is a big place, and to receive that call after literally driving for 30 minutes to get there is just ridiculous. (This happened to us the first time we tried to go there). 3. When you specifically request a female therapist, that means you don't have any desire to have a massage from a male therapist. I made the appointment for my husband - he's a busy guy, he wants a massage, he doesn't want a male therapist. There's no need to tell me how great "George" is - it's just not happening. 4. My husband arrives for his appointment. Listens to one of the 4 employees (Holly) loudly talking and scolding/correcting 2 other employees on the fact that they are receiving bad reviews and that they need to start massaging people this way or that way... what? This is supposed to be a peaceful place where people come to relax - people should talk in a quiet, calming way, and say negative things about employees in private. Then, after a few minutes of watching the "employee show", my husband is called up and told that this male therapist was going to be his therapist. My husband says, "I am supposed to be with a female therapist." "Oh, she needed a break, so he will be massaging you today." What? He ended up leaving - driving all that way (again) for nothing. I could go on but now my review is getting too long again. There are so many other amazing massage places in the Yuma area (I know because my husband and I have tried them all) - don't waste your time with this place. If you don't believe me, just call right now and try to make an appointment with a female therapist for sometime next week. 5 star for sure! Dr Dan is top notch! Friendly upbeat and I love his healthful approach! No antibiotics. Ear adjustments who knew!!! My son had a double ear infection and after his adjustment his fever went away, he was playing and he slept through the night! Very terrible customer service . They never get back to you after they tell you they'll call you back , never answer the phone!! My mom went in for a laser treatment and she paid 300+ dollars CASH!! and still to this day have only done a session on her it's November now and they should be done with the treatment. She went in 3-4 months ago. Then they say the laser machine is getting fixed, that it isn't working... BLAH BLAH BLAAH! They don't even get back to you and let you know whats going on. I started going here in 2012 for low back pain that I had been dealing with for over a year. Dr. Dan made me feel right at home and felt that he was able to help me as I had doctors telling me there was nothing else they could do other than pain pills and injections. I am a very active person and I don't have time to be kept down! I started with monthly massages and was introduced to chiropractic care about 6mo later, as I was so afraid to try it, but was definitely amazed that Dr. Dan helped me more than anything. After a good 6 weeks after treatments my back pain had ceased and I was feeling much better and wasn't having to take any medications for my pain! I highly recommend this place for chiropractic and spa needs, as it is a very clean place and the staff are very friendly and helpful. read more

Aqua chiropractic is the best chiropractic care I have received. I feel better right away, Dr. Dan is personable as well as the staff and you feel comfortable being around complete strangers because the atmosphere is just great. Front desk is always going to be an issue because there is one person to do everything (there are actually more than one front desk staff but not at the same time). Since Dr. Dan is so caring and individualizes treatment your'e going to have to wait sometimes while a new patient gets set up. They'll do the same for you and anyone else in pain so it's give and take. If I have to wait because someone in extreme pain is being worked in that's the kind of Dr. office I want to be in. Massage therapists do change regularly but that has been my experience at other spas as well. read more

The spa is very pretty and I was able to get an appointment quickly. The doctor was very nice and greeted me as I waited although I was not there to see him. I went for a massage. The noise factor was kind of disruptive. People taking loudly and not taking into account that massages were in session. I was not taken in until 15 min after the appointment time as there seemed to be confusion as to which therapist was going to see me. Once I got to the room I was apologized to for the fact that there was still used linens on the table. I was told by the therapist that they were unaware they had another massage. However, while making up the room, a brief intake was performed as to my needs, where I was having discomfort. I was asked about pressure as the massage began and asked for deeper pressure and for a while I received that but as the time went on it became light again. There was a lot of superfluous strokes and seemed halfhearted. I felt like the therapist didn't really know enough to fill the time. My "needs" about lower back pain were really not addressed. Very little time spent there. Way too much lotion was used so there wasn't enough traction on the body and I had to wipe off with a sheet before dressing. The music system kept going off and on like the wi-fi was glitchy or something. That was frustrating. The smells were nice and the room was comfortable but overall I left feeling like I'd wasted my money. To top it off I was shorted about nine minutes. I will not go back. Really too bad. I am an avid massage supporter and I tip very well when the work is done well. To conclude, I feel that the doctor should have a separate space away from the spa to keep the noise level down or at least shut his door when massages are in progress. I really hope they read this and address some of these issues. It would be unfortunate if they lost business and didn't know why. Hope it helps. read more

I am shocked to see that Aqua only has a 3 out of 5 based on these peoples totally inaccurate reviews!!!! Some people are never satisfied apparently and feel that their lack of planning is someone else's emergency as far as scheduling an appointment goes!! There is a reason they are booked and hard to get in to (which I personally have never experienced because I plan my appointments ahead of time) and that's because they are the best chiropractic/spa in town! Even when I needed to get in when I first started coming here with severe back pain I didn't have to wait more than a day. All of the office staff are SUPER friendly, caring, and go above and beyond to meet your needs. I have spent a lot of time in the office for chiropractic adjustment and massage and I have NEVER seen Jackie (front desk) be rude. In fact I remember a time she came to work when not feeling well and STILL had a smile on her face. It is unfortunate that someone would post something like that about her because it is not true. Dr Dan has healing hands and so does Angie one of their massage therapists. The other Jackie in the back is also top notch. This place is life changing. The membership is such a great deal and if you plan ahead it is very easy to get the appointment time and days you need. I would urge people to disregard the other comments and go try for yourself because you won't be disappointed. read more
