So, considering I spend a lot of time watching football and drinking beer, it sometimes surprises people how much I enjoy pampering my inner girly-girl. I can't stand to see my nails without a pretty polish. Nail salons are so common these days, it's hard to find one that does something special to make themselves stand out. In many ways, Van's is a lot like the others. They offer a full list of spa services from mani/pedi's to eyebrow waxing to even a couple offers for facials. I've had tried the mani/pedi services here and eyebrow waxing, all with great results! Nothing spectacular, but nothing bad to say either. I also find the service to be very great and friendly. During my most recent visit, I spent practically the entire appointment (don't worry, walk-ins are always welcome) giggling with the girl doing my nails because she had an incredible personality and sense of humor. It was a great way to spend a Saturday morning! What Van's does to stay competitive is offer very great prices on all their services. A manicure here is $12, as is the eyebrow wax. And a pedicure is a very affordable $28! And just because they are offering these incredible prices doesn't mean they skimp on the service. The mani/pedi's feature a great massage (if you've read my reviews, you know this is incredibly important to me) and the technicians pay a lot of attention to detail to keep their clients looking good! Tried Aqua Nails for the very first time today. The nail place I usually go to is closed on Sunday's so I decided to try here. The owner was very nice and did a good job on my toes. Once he finished the polish change on my toes I asked if I could have dip don't to my nails but they were too busy. He did offer a $10 off if I went back later that day and apologized for not being able to fit me in. Loved the price- only $10 for a polish change on toes. read more

First of all no manicure was done and my nails looked liked something a person would do at home that was just learning how to do them!!! The quality of my manicure is great! I got my nails dipped for the first time and loved it. The reason for the 3 stars is because my two friends and I made appointments together. Our appointment was at 10 and when we got there we sat together like a typical appointment should. Then they moved one of us to the other side. Since we made the appointment ahead of time it would have been nice to be able to sit together. The quality of the product is great but the customer service needs some work. read more

Worst service ever. Very rude staff who did not give me what I wanted and laughed and talked about me the whole time. Gave me a half ass pedicure for nearly $30 - it took them about 20 min. They make up prices and don't go off of the ones on the menu. When I went to pay he just gave me money out of his pocket for change, not even a register. This place used to be owned by Vans nails. My family and I went to Vans for years. Aqua nails is decent. They are slightly overpriced in my opinion. They have a lot of different colors to choose from. They do a good job with a gel manicure. Not so much with the pedicure. My toe nail polish is already chipping. read more

This place was not too busy on a Saturday. The pedicure service you get for a $35 price tag is WELL worth it. I got a kneecap massage...its what I never knew I needed. It is very clean and all those who worked there were very good at this jobs and quite kind. Would recommend this place. read more

I chose Aqua Nail Salon based on Google reviews (4.9). I had a full set of Solar Whites put on which were fine initially. When my nails started growing out, the acrylic lifted at the base of the nails leaving them looking cheaply done. Today I went in to have my nails filled in. I noticed immediately that I could see the divide between the old and new acrylic. The nail tech had filed away up half my nail. I asked her about it, but figured she knew what she was doing and would leave me with a natural and professional set of nails. That wasn't the case. The line between the old and new are clearly visible. Frankly, my nails look like crap. I informed who I presumed was the manager and told him there was no way I could wear clear polish. He did offer to fix them if I waited for him to finish with another client or come back tomorrow. He was going to have to remove everything and start over. After they still made me pay, I ended up leaving in frustration. read more

I love this place! The staff is so friendly and the guy that does my pedicures, FANTASTIC! (He has longer slicked back hair) He provides not only a full pedicure but an over the top massage from the knee down. He really takes care in his work and it is greatly appreciated! Very happy with the service. Will definably go back. Only complaint is how they answered the phone and didn't tell me or my mom what to do after we signed in just expected us to do. There was also only about one or two people who spoke English so they weren't very talkative and the women who checked me out didn't even say thank you or anything just walked away. It could have been better but the place was nice in side, they just need to get some people who speak English and learn some manners. Price was very good. 13 or so for a mani and 25 for a pedi. Not bad at all. JUST MANNERS! If you can deal with the lack of manners go for it, if not then find some place else. over all the work was good and the polished lasted 2 weeks for my mom but only a week for me. read more

I had a 6pm appt booked for dip and pedicure and had requsted them to be done at the same time as I was in a time crunch. On the phone, the gentleman said no problem. I arrived at 5:30 pm and was the only customer in the salon. They started on my pedicure right away which I was very appreciative of. While drying my toes from my pedicure I asked if they can start soaking my nails since I was getting a dip powder fill. For whatever reason they couldn't do it yet so I sat there. Around 6:30 PM they began working on my nails. The colors did not match the samples whatsoever so it took a while for the lady to figure out which color was the one I was requesting. She was extremely slow and by the time she actually finished my nails it was 8:00 PM. I was there for almost three hours and my nails looked AWFUL. The topcoat had run everywhere and didn't dry well since they insist you dry your dip in front of a fan which completely screws up your nails. When I was checking out, they informed me it was $20 additional since I did shellac on my toes. I have never paid that much in addition to the cost of the pedicure. I kindly asked that they please inform me of the price in advance next time and the owner proceeded to offer me "5% off for the confusion" which of course I did not receive, I paid full price. Not only is it overpriced but they do a terrible job. Would not recommend going here at all. read more

Hot to the salon at 445 and there was one woman ahead of me. There were 2 nail techs and the one helping the other lady was the only one that new how to do solar nails. The other nail tech was told to file my nails while the main one finished up. We'll while I was getting my nails filed she asked if her daughter could come in for a pedicure. And she wanted him to do it. So I was left waiting with my nails half filed, while he started working on the daughter that never made an appointment. This has to be the worst and most disrespectful establishment I've ever been to. Blaming poor service on short staffing is not my problem. Or blaming your lack of polishing ability on my fingers...just down right crazy! A five year old could've done a better job than what I got. The shellac was painted onto my actual skin and was told it was because I didn't get the entire manicure. I've had this stuff done for years and never had the outcome I received today. And the rude employee telling me that he would just simply file my nails off to fix it was the solution....get out of here. Ladies do not waste your time or money here. It turns out terrible!! I was bullied into paying for what damage was done and walked out only to immediately call and dispute the charges. NEVER... I REPEAT NEVER go to this place. Now I will have to go elsewhere to have them soaked off and pay for someone else to fix this disaster. Customer service is not even close to par!! It doesn't even even deserve one star...
