I've had 3 other pool services in the past 40 years and this is by far superior to any of them. My pool has never looked so good. I had a case of black algae, the worst type! They cleared it and my pool looks great. it's been about 5 months with them and I highly recommend them. They also do equipment repairs and each week they leave me detailed notes on what chemicals were added so I can see exactly how the pool stays balanced. 2/28/2022: Just got off the phone with Aqua Pools. Been playing phone tag with a guy named Jose. He came on 2/17/22, did an appraisal for pool resurfacing. Good price but then the games stated. I had to keep calling him to come back so we could finalize the deal. He kept making excuses and seem not to really care. So finally, today I called him. He said to call back later and he'll come by. So I call and he precedes to give me the brush off. Says, " We're pretty busy" I don't think I want to do your project". So, if you want to be treated like shit, go ahead and call this company but to be jerked around after he commented a week earlier that they could start ASAP, be my quest. read more

We hired Oscar in late 2011, and things started great. Our pool was clean and the chemicals balanced every week, all for a great price. In 2011 and all through 2012, Oscar's team was reliable and professional. My wife and I were very happy with Aqua Pool all the way to Summer 2013 when we started to have trouble with the quality of service and lack of communication. June was when we first noticed the quality of service was starting to degrade. Our pool would sometimes become green and dirty at the end of the week, and Oscar's team was showing up on inconsistent days - sometimes late into the weekend when it was too late to enjoy the pool for the weekend. One week in early July, nobody showed up at all. When my wife called Oscar, he was friendly and said that he would adjust the bill accordingly for the missing week. He also notified us that the filter may be in need of cleaning, so we authorized the additional filter cleaning service charge. The next week, our pool was serviced on time and filter was cleaned. A few weeks after, we received our July invoice, and noticed that no adjustment had been made for the missing week of service. We emailed Oscar to clarify but got no response back. Later in July, after another service, we got a note on our door saying "Filter No Good - Needs Replace", so we contacted Oscar about it hoping to get back on track since we had paid to have the filter cleaned only a couple of weeks prior. Again, no response. Meanwhile, weekly pool service now stopped showing up completely, and we had no communication whatsoever. Again, we tried calling to clear things up, but we would always get voicemail and Oscar didn't return our calls or respond to our e-mails. Meanwhile, it is the summer season and we want to enjoy our pool, so we were left no choice but to contact another pool cleaning service to look at replacing the filter and cleaning our pool. When the new serviceman inspected our pool, he told us that the filter was fine, it was just not cleaned properly, and also that the chemicals had not been balanced correctly. We just got an invoice for August Service Charges, but we never received any service all month! Oscar still hasn't called or responded to our e-mails, but we've settled our bill despite the lack of quality and asked him to close our account. We've just moved on to another pool cleaning service that so far has really met our needs. It's really unfortunate that great service can degrade so quickly. If you want reliable, quality service and customer attention - we can't recommend Aqua Pool Service anymore. read more

The owner Brad is so caring, knowledgeable and dependable you won't find a better pool maintenance company. BEWARE AQUA POOL SERVICE I contacted Oscar based on a recommendation from a friend to help me upgrade my pool equipment after we purchased a house with a pool. I compared Oscar's estimates to replace my pool pump and filter with 3 other estimates I had received, and he came in as the least expensive so I gave him a shot. We started with replacing my pool filter which I thought he did a good job with. The problems started when I tried contacting Oscar to replace my old sand filter with a new cartridge filter. He is extremely hard to get a hold of and does not return his voicemail messages. We finally got in touch after I caught him on his cell phone. After Oscar installed the filter, I asked him how to clean it. Oscar proceeded to remove a cap at the bottom of the filter which emptied the pool water all over the space where my pool equipment sits. This flooded the area as well as shorted out my booster pump which I discovered right after Oscar left. My booster pump was old but had been working fine until that point. I immediately called Oscar regarding the booster pump. Oscar refused to take any responsibility for shorting out the pump and would not agree to cover any of the replacement cost, including the labor. Oscar also did not finish the filter replacement job. He left the old sand filter next to my pool equipment after agreeing that he would dispose of it. After MANY attempts at contacting Oscar, I was once again able to finally catch him. He agreed to pick up the old filter, but he never did. I eventually even agreed to pay for the booster pump replacement and scheduled a time for Oscar to come install it, as well as to pick up the old filter. I stayed home from work to be here for his appointment. He did not show up for our scheduled time and did not call to let me know. I called him several times that morning and he did not pick up the phone or return any of my calls. He also has not returned any of my phone calls since. I cannot believe the lack of professionalism from Oscar. He not only did not complete his commitments, but he also refused to take responsibility for his mistakes. If that is not bad enough, he screens his calls, does not return his messages, and is literally impossible to get a hold of. I am seriously considering reporting Oscar to the Better Business Bureau or taking him to small claims court. It has been a terrible experience. My friend who initially referred me to Oscar started experiencing similar issues and has since fired him as well. read more

Oscar is the BEST pool person to have!!!! He is so good at keeping our Salt Water Pool Clean and Clear Blue. We sold our home on the first open house last month, Oct 2009. Oscar was there Sunday morning making sure it was in great shape. The first family that came purchased our home, they mentioned how beautiful the pool was. Now at our new house, the existing pool guys came and went, did not even look like they were there (at $150 a month), they put a garden hose in the pool to add water, never told me or shut it off, they didn't use the valve..?? Oscar is now helping us at our new home, my chlorine pool is old but looks great. Oscar will change it to Salt Water soon. Oscar is a kind person and good to my dogs too!! I called 10 days in advance to schedule an appointment to have my Hot Tub cleaned, filled and have the chemicals balanced. (I just moved in and this Hot Tub has been empty for over a year) Oscar said they would come between 10 and noon on the following Saturday. Unfortunately nobody showed up. I called at 11:30 to make sure we were still on track and got no answer so I left a voice mail. I called at 12:15 because I had to leave my house, still no answer, left another voicemail. Nobody ever called me back to explain or apologize. It is noon on Monday and I just called Oscar and asked for an explanation. He says that he scheduled a guy for my Hot Tub but the man had another job that ran in to my window of time and he could not make it to my house. I am surprised that nobody thought to let me know that! And that after two voicemails nobody even attempted to call me back. I have decided to give them another shot since their Yelp reviews are glowing. They are supposed to come this Saturday and Oscar personally promised that it will be done, even if it has to do it himself. So we shall see. I will update my review after Saturday. **Update** After the initial problems with Aqua Pool, Oscar came to my house and took care of my Hot Tub. He is a nice man, it is just unfortunate that scheduling seems to be a problem for the company. Based on the reviews here I called Oscar. He came to the house took a look at the pool which was somewhat cloudy with some alge on the sides, lots of dog hair and other floaties. He brushed the alge (we just moved in the day before), added chemicals, inspected the equipment; all before I even said I would hire him. Extremely professional and knowledgeable and obviously attentive to providing good customer service. By the second visit the pool was sparkling. I was very very dissatisfied with the weekly pool service. I would have to call Oscar week after week. My service was done on Monday and by Saturday the pool started turning green this went on for three months. Oscar was a nice guy and I really wanted to give him the benefit of the doubt. I'm not sure if they didn't want to spend the extra money on chemicals or if his workers weren't properly trained. I would not recommend his weekly pool service. read more

Oscar and this entire company (if thats what you want to call it) are horrible. Just like everyone else, Oscar started off with a bang and then stopped showing up at all. Said we needed a new pump and we agreed, come to find out he bought a used one but charged us for a new one. When we called him on the pump over charge he played stupid (we think) and tried to explain it away as a mistake. Then they continued to charge us for cleaning the pool, however based on the pool condition we didn't think he was coming at all. Called Oscar again and he assured us he had been coming to clean the pool I checked my video surveillance cameras and if you can believe it Oscar had not showed up in over a month. I decided to contact Oscar and Aqua Pool Service because of the positive reviews he received. I e-mailed him Sunday night and he replied the same night. We agreed to meet after work Monday and he was sitting in his truck waiting as I pulled into my driveway. He looked over our old pool equipment and said he would put an estimate together to replace the filter and two pumps. I checked my e-mail after dinner and Oscar had sent a written estimate. His price for all new equipment and labor was far better than my other estimates. I called him Tuesday morning to proceed with the work. He said he would gather the new equipment and start work Wednesday. I arrived home Wednesday night and the work was complete. All the new equipment was hooked up and all the old equipment had been hauled away. Oscar showed up half and hour later to go over the operating instructions.
