They're all very friendly and everyone we came across was cheerful and patient with any of my mom's needs. That's first and foremost. Now, in terms of the actual environment, our family couldn't be more happy and grateful to have found such a clean and well maintained facility and with all its beautiful grounds. It's basically a resort! It's amazing! Thank you to Miranda for her patience and always cheerful attitude in helping us with all of the questions and needs in getting our mom set up and moved in. Also, thank you to Minerva and all of the AMAZING staff at the Summer House who have great patience, wonderful caring hearts and such a friendly attitude towards the elderly that love there! It made flying out from Texas to visit our mom such a memorable visit and it comforted me greatly to see and experience the environment my mom was in. I contacted Vince for assistance in finding a place for my mom. We were still trying to convince…read moreher in the transition and knew she was a very picky 94 yr old used to living on her own. Vince facilitated several visits and even accompanied us to most. I did not feel pressured at all although we wanted to make a decision within a week. He was always available to answer questions and find out more if needed. He always got back with an answer quickly and attentive to detail. Due to a prior experience it was important to me that I did not leave my contact information at all these facilities. I did not want them calling me. Vince was very respectful of this request and let the facility know prior to my arrival. He seems to know the community and does a good job at staying in contact with sales agents. In the end with his assistance we found the right place! My mom is happy so far 3 weeks in and he is still in contact with us. When we needed to move furniture he even volunteered to help my husband with the move!! We highly recommend Vince. He did a wonderful job at a difficult time for us.

My family had a very difficult experience with Pomona Vista Rehabilitation Center. My mother was…read moreplaced there following hospitalization and required very specific medical care, including strict dietary restrictions related to a feeding tube and recent surgery. Unfortunately, there were serious communication and care concerns during her stay. Despite repeated efforts to inform staff about her medical restrictions, she was given food that she was not supposed to have. This led to complications, including her feeding tube becoming dislodged and requiring an emergency hospital visit. Even after the hospital provided updated instructions, it felt like important information was still not being clearly documented or followed. In addition to the medical concerns, it was very difficult to get timely responses from staff, and we often felt that our concerns were not taken seriously. This created a great deal of stress and worry for our family during an already challenging time. We ultimately requested a transfer to another facility closer to home so we could better advocate for her care. I strongly encourage families to stay very involved, ask detailed questions, and closely monitor care plans if their loved one is placed here. I am sharing this experience so that other families can be informed and prepared.

I searched and visited many facilities prior to me choosing Mountain View Center. I visited them a couple times and was able to meet the Owner, Coordinators, the caretakers, the cook, all the helpers I just knew that they stood out far beyond any others I went to. First thing that stood out was how immaculate everything was and it smelled so fresh and clean. This was very important for me if my mom going to live here. They gave me a tour of facility and the living quarters where my mom would stay. She has her own bedroom whom she shares with a wonderful roommate. They were very careful about matching mom's roommate, so they carefully introduced my mom to a few ladies and we found the perfect one. My mom has been her for 3 years and she loves it. They even have a program where a bus picks up the residents that are able, to have fun filled days dancing, singing, doing crafts, then the bus brings them back. They are very involved with many onsite activities. They have lots of parties, holiday parties too, they bring in musicians/bands so they can dance and enjoy, bbqs, dress up..etc. I just had to share my experience with anyone looking for a place for mom or dad. Dementia again has impacted our family, my dear Auntie is suffering with this horrible disease now. I am not a disgruntled employee and won't be discredited by the owner of this facility. 1) This facility is an absolute death trap. You do not send your family member here to live and thrive you send them here to suffer andie. This facilities owner only cares about the financial bottom line and does not provide the care promised when you drop off your loved one 2) residents are routinely neglected and their personal hygiene is non existent ! They are not groomed daily, have their teeth brushed daily or bathed daily. Although they claim they are ! 3) the staff here has a true heart for the residents. They truly try to give the best care to them but when the owner and management does NOT provide the appropriate tools and necessities needed to provide the care expected even the best intentions fall short. 4) the building is old, dirty and unkempt. Mold, feces, bed bugs and trash riddles the floors of this facility. 5) the management and owner keep the truth from both authorities and families here. They give the run around for any question you might have of your loved ones and of any reports of negligence, abuse or violence in the facility. Claremont Manor is a special place which has the benefit of providing almost every kind of senior care & housing you could imagine. It is staffed by administrators who are friendly, caring and approachable. They and the auxiliary staff make our stay here happy and enjoyable. So much so that they made us feel more like friends than residents. The Manor offers great food, beautiful surroundings, interesting events, fun parties and outings to restaurants, shopping, museums& other places of interest near & far. His room is large and spacious with two giant picture windows in the living room and the bedroom. The surrounding gardens are filled with beautiful roses, lovely, green lawns and are well kept and maintained. Front office, food, services, and staff are most professional, helpful, and caring and go above and beyond expectations. From securing prescriptions from a local pharmacy to providing on-site nursing care, our friend is receiving exemplary care, understanding, patience, and skilled services along with exercise and educational classes, and transportation to local markets, downtown Claremont, and surrounding areas.
