Vanessa who answered the phone answered all my questions and got back to me in a timely fashion. She didn't miss a thing and once we were signed up I felt great relief knowing I had this company on board to walk me through this process. I called on a Monday, the nurse Amanda came to assess mom that afternoon and we had approval for services within an hour. By the next morning all sorts of equipment was delivered; it was amazing how quickly they worked. The next day Juliet the RN came and checked out mom. Both nurses were so kind and gentle with my mom. Juliet went over the transitioning signs and other information that was very helpful to me in knowing what to expect. She spent a lot of time with me, I never felt rushed; Juliet's care was genuine. Communication was top notch; I received text notifications every time Juliet was going to come by. Both Juliet and Joyce the social worker arrived within minutes of my mom transitioning and it was so comforting to have them here. I had interviewed other hospice companies in the past and while the people I met with were nice, they felt a bit fake. I did not feel this way about Unique Hospice. Their attention and care is real and very respectful. I highly recommend Unique Hospice to walk through this difficult time with you. Thank you Vanessa for your excellent immediate communication and support with questions that I had. Thank you Joyce for your attention and compassion and for talking me through this grieving process. Thank you Juliet for being here for me and my mom. I am thankful for you and your knowledge and kindness.

I made the right decision from the first visit with Ness was absolutely wonderful when I saw her how she treated my loved one as family and the compassion she had for her Jen was awesome also. Joyce the social worker always checked in and made sure we were doing OK but also checked in with our loved one that was dying of cancer these women are a great team. They made my loved one feel very comfortable and felt like family. We were treated the same. I would highly recommend this company to anyone that's going through the tough time of losing a loved one

In hindsight I'm glad that my family and I made the difficult decision to place her when we did and before she was in the later stages of ALZ. i will be eternally grateful to Oak Park Manor and their staff. It takes a special kind of person to do that for a living, day in and day out. The atmosphere at Oak Park is very much like a home setting making the transition easier for both the patient and the family members of the patient. Toward the end stages of the disease my mom was wearing other patients clothes, needed assistance with using the restroom which meant she sometimes soiled herself. She eventually stopped eating and speaking. Not because of anything Oak Park did or didnt do, it was due to the progression of the horrible disease eating away at her brain loosing the ability to function normally. One of the reasons that we selected Oak Park Manor it was listed on the dept of health website as an approved facility who accepts the assisted living waiver program. The program provides financial assistance to those who qualify. For more information, https://www.dhcs.ca.gov/services/ltc/Pages/AssistedLivingWaiver.aspx Before my mom was diagnosed with Alzheimer's I knew very little about the disease and it complexities let alone the morality rate. For more information on Alzheimer's and the 7 stages of it. https://www.alz.org/alzheimers-dementia/stages If there was anything that I learned from her experience was to share what I've learned with others who were up against making the decision to place their loved one in a facility like Oak Park. If I had to do it over again I would make the same decision.

I was her full time care giver, and without the help of All Saints, I would have lost my mind and not have made it through such a hard time. My Mother was very well taken care of. Several times a week Gloria would come and bathe her. My Mom enjoyed that time getting "pampered" and was always all smiles. As she slowly began to succumb to her Alzheimer's, the support of All Saints, especially Janelle her nurse (who always made her laugh) and Jean her social worker, were imperative to both my Mom and I. I didn't realize how much I would need their help in just listening and their understanding in my fears and sadness. They were always available to answer any and all questions. The morning of December 5th, 2018, I knew my Mom was passing. I called Janelle crying and hysterical, she came over right away. Her calm demeanor and kind words helped me process and prepare to say good-bye. After my beautiful Mother passed, I was offered so much support in the ways of phone calls and visits from Marissa and their Chaplin Patricia. Janelle came to my Mom's funeral and to this day has checked in on me. Of course I have my husband and our family to lean on, but you don't realize how much you rely on the support in the people of hospice. I am grateful my Mom had such good care in her final days. I am grateful I had such good care as well.... Thank you All Saints.
