I don't think I fully appreciated the quality of her living situation until the last few weeks. My mom suffered a fall and needed hip replacement. My mom will be returning home tomorrow after surgery to a full array of help from familiar faces. Ten days in a skilled nursing/rehab hospital is a stark reminder of how much we need places like Oakmont to care for our elderly. I am so thankful that she sold her house and moved to assisted living before we were up against the wall with a health crisis. I know she will be well cared for at Oakmont.

I had to place my cousin in a home for her Dementia 2 years ago and when I was searching I had picked the most beautiful and most costly facility that appeared to be what I thought was the best! Well, don't let the same mistake happen to you like me. After realizing my mistake and then finding GRACIOUS LIVING I couldn't be happier for finally having peace and mind for my dear cousin!! The staff (Emma, Jerome & Edith) was so GRACIOUS,ATTENTIVE,PATIENT and COMPASSIONATE with my cousin and our family!! I wish I had been introduced to Gracious Living upon my first search!! Please give Paul or David a call and go visit there homes. My cousin was in the Upper North house! I highly recommend this OUTSTANDING FACILITY!! My cousin is no longer with us, she passed away last night, but I'm so glad she was at Gracious Living when she departed!! She helped me fill out the forms needed for setting up my file. I must say Bailey is a very positive representative for Visiting Angels, warm and friendly. We had a few laughs during the visit. Maria C was my caregiver scheduled for my surgery in Colton. She arrived on time and was very kind and attentive throughout the procedure and after. On the second day for my post-op appointment another Maria was scheduled. She also was kind and caring and a pleasure. She helped me with some household tasks and later took me to my appointment in Rancho Cucamonga. So if you are far from family and friends, or they are tied up with their own tasks, go ahead and hire Visiting Angels, who treat you like family.

I contacted Vince for assistance in finding a place for my mom. We were still trying to convince…read moreher in the transition and knew she was a very picky 94 yr old used to living on her own. Vince facilitated several visits and even accompanied us to most. I did not feel pressured at all although we wanted to make a decision within a week. He was always available to answer questions and find out more if needed. He always got back with an answer quickly and attentive to detail. Due to a prior experience it was important to me that I did not leave my contact information at all these facilities. I did not want them calling me. Vince was very respectful of this request and let the facility know prior to my arrival. He seems to know the community and does a good job at staying in contact with sales agents. In the end with his assistance we found the right place! My mom is happy so far 3 weeks in and he is still in contact with us. When we needed to move furniture he even volunteered to help my husband with the move!! We highly recommend Vince. He did a wonderful job at a difficult time for us.
