After being loyal patrons of this facility for three years, we have ultimately decided to take our business elsewhere. While we remained hopeful due to our children's potential, the consistent administrative failures and lack of professional integrity from management have made it impossible to stay. The management here is incredibly difficult to work with. Scheduling is a persistent challenge, and interactions with the leadership team are often met with a disrespectful and dismissive tone. Most concerning was the discrepancy between the "progress app" and the staff's assessments. Despite the app showing our kids had met the necessary benchmarks, management repeatedly insisted they "needed more time" on basic skills. This created a stagnant loop that felt more about extending tuition cycles. Policies & Make-up Classes The handling of make-up classes was the final straw. While the facility initially promises flexibility with make-ups to secure your enrollment, they make it nearly impossible to actually schedule them. When we attempted to utilize our accrued credits, we were met with resistance and instead pressured to pay for additional private lessons. It is truly a shame to see a place with such potential treat long-term clients this way. We are excited to move to a new location where we hope our children will finally receive the instruction and respect they deserve. If you are looking for a program that values progress over profit, I would suggest looking elsewhere. read more

My daughters spent their first lesson crying in the arms of their instructor who patiently held them and comforted them. Their most recent lesson they were smiling, giggling, and swimming like fish. Finally ended up leaving Aquatots at the end of August for SwimLabs. The constant turnover of coaches and new policy changes regarding cancelations and rescheduling/make-ups finally drove us away. My son ended up having 5 coaches in an 8 month timeframe. Absolutely ridiculous! The ironic part is the best coaches were always the ones who either left or got "fired." Additionally, I didn't feel he was learning much in the class, especially in our last few months there. Since we switched, he's actually learning to swim, enjoying the class, and thriving under excellent instruction. I would not recommend this place any longer. It was much better when we first started but has gone down significantly over the last year. read more

Our 1.5 year old daughter started swimming at Aqua-Tots a few months ago and is having a great time so far! We go once a week for a 30 minute class that usually has 2-3 other kids in it. Overall, it's really helped improve her confidence in the pool and we're excited to see her progress through all of the different levels. My husband is usually in the water with her and there's a lounge for me to hang out in and watch through the glass. They keep the shower/changing area clean and there's plenty of room to accommodate all of the kids that tend to end class around the same time. We pay a monthly fee and are able to schedule make-up lessons if we can't attend on our regular day. So far the staff has been gracious and helpful. We like some of the coaches more than others but overall feel like she is learning what we want her to at this age. read more

My daughter has been going to AquaTots for 2 or so years now. She is 5 years old in level 6! It's crazy to see her do freestyle with side breath, backstroke, and breaststroke across the pool. It's all because of Aqua Tots. We really like Coach Elias, he really pays attention to how the kids are doing and then he knows if they can do better and helps encourage them to do better. He really has helped to build my daughters confidence and she's always proud of herself when she gets out of the pool. Aqua Tots cancellation policy is awesome. I feel like we got so lucky signing up for swim lessons at Aquatots Lone Tree. I absolutely love the safety-based focus of the beginner lessons, the staff (in the pool and out), ease of the location with plenty of parking, and flexibility for rescheduling lessons. My newly 3 year old started lessons about two months ago. I decided to sign him up for twice weekly lessons as recommended on the website. He was placed into level 3 (the first beginner class without parents in the pool). He's loved the lessons from the beginning and begs to go more often. He has improved so much. The reason I originally signed him up is because he was overconfident thinking he could swim when he absolutely could not (without a lifejacket) and he scared me all summer with his over confidence but also a resistance to learn any water safety skills from me. He now understands water safety, can hold his breath, swim to grab the wall from close by, float, and T, tickle, touch swim on his back or as they call it at Aquatots chicken, star, rocket. It's been amazing to watch his progression and the lessons are actually really fun to watch. My son has particularly loved Coach David. He extra enjoys lessons with him, though every single teacher has been patient, kind, and consistently trained. Beyond the instruction, the staff here is just so pleasant. It's an overall extremely inclusive, friendly, happy staff who seem to enjoy their job immensely. Most child related services could take a note from them. The place is kept very clean. The ease of rescheduling classes is fantastic and I enjoy the flexibility of having my son enrolled in a activity that I can modify around our ever changing weekly schedule. When you're running late there is always a staff member assigned to walking your child in to his instructor which makes for a completely guilt free low stress late enterance compared to average. I will go ahead and write a second review. I really hope that the review below saved. After my daughter had been at Aqua-Tots for over a year and a half, she did not graduate because they forced her to do things she wouldn't do and would not teach her. They would force her underwater when she was not ready to go. She was not ready for that skill and was not comfortable with being shoved down 3 or 4 ft to the bottom of the floor. With four people in a class for 30 minutes, she got about 6 minutes worth of lessons a week. It is $135 a month. After a year and a half she made absolutely no progress. They switch instructors all the time and do not meet the needs of the kids. After I left to go to a different instructor, who has helped her grow so quickly so fast, I talked to the manager of aqua-tots. I asked if I could have a refund for the classes that I had paid for. They said that was not possible. They said I could have a credit. I have over 2 months worth of classes that I can't do anything with. That is over $270 worth of classes that I paid to a company that did not meet the needs of my child, and will not refund me my own money. Danielle was nice enough to respond saying that the general manager would contact me. That never happened either. The general manager at the moment is named Maggie. I never got an email or a text or a phone call. I called to see if I could talk to the manager or get a refund, and there they are not willing to work with me. I also feel that that $270 has somehow gone down. I am pretty sure I had paid for more than just 2 months and she had some makeup classes. I would not recommend the school. I would not believe people in this company will contact you back when they say they will. I do not trust this company with your money because they do not reimburse you when you pay them and decide that it is not worth the expense. $270 is something that I could put to other things. This company has horrible customer service and awful communication. My recommendation for somebody who would like to pay a lot of money for 6 minutes worth of lessons for their child who is forced to do things they are not ready for, not worth it. I would recommend going to another school that treat your kids with respect and needs of where they are at and what they are ready to do, reimburses you when you pay them a lot of money and you ask for a refund when you are not going to use it anymore, and has communication and honesty when someone says they will contact you when they don't. read more

My 4 year old son has been taking weekly lessons with up to 3 other kids since July. His confidence has REALLY improved and now I don't worry as much about him in the water. This place is amazing!! I got a groupon for my one year old to get used to the water and I am so impressed with this place! * Everyone is SO nice. From the time you walk in, you are greeted immediately with a smile. They are very helpful in answering questions and making you feel comfortable. * The facility is beautiful and clean. The pool is sparkling and the dressing rooms and bathrooms are top notch. They even have a small play area for kids to play while waiting and plenty of seating that overlooks the pool so you can watch your kiddos during their lesson. * Our instructor, Matt, is so patient and helpful, and so friendly. He's made the transition for my baby girl into the pool and breeze! She loves working with him and he even sings to her during lessons! :) I am so glad that we ended up here for swimming lessons and I foresee is being long time customers. read more

My kids have been going to Aqua Tots for about two years now and we've really had a good experience with lessons here. The front staff is very friendly as are the instructors. The monthly fee is reasonable, and my kids are definitely better swimmers/much safer in the water than when they started. I love their flexibility with lessons, which I've never seen with other lessons. If your child can't make a scheduled lesson on a scheduled lesson say, you can cancel and they put a make-up lesson on your account. I would definitely recommend Aqua Tots. read more

This swim school is very hit and miss, depending on who you get as a coach. There are a few seasoned coaches who have been here awhile, and everyone else is a newly trained teenager. It is almost impossible to get into the classes of the two seasoned coaches here, unless your child comes during the day. If you have a child in school, forget about it, they never have openings after school or on weekends with anyone of quality. Also, it takes a very long time to move up a level at this school, because it's a cash cow. They want to do more lessons at the same level because the longer you stay at the same level the more money they make in the long run. The classes are 25 minutes, with 4 in the class, your child will get about 5 min of personal attention and the rest of the time they are just sitting in the water waiting. One instructor also snapped at my kid during a lesson. Since most of the instructors are teenagers they spend a lot of time looking at the clock and drinking water. This is a good place to get kids initially accustomed to the water. After they do, I suggest moving on to an actual swim school as you will likely not see any improvement here. read more

First I want to start out by saying we have been coming here for a couple months now. My daughter is a little over 1 years old and loves the water! We previously were at a completely difference swim school and I noticed she wasn't learning any of the "swimming skills" that I had hoped she would. Her swim lessons were more along the lines of playing in the water. Which wasn't what I was wanting to pay for. We came to Aqua Tots Lone Tree because some moms in my moms group recommended it. And I'm SO THANKFUL we listened to them. We (my daughter, nephew, sister and I) currently do a semi private lesson with THE BEST swim coach in the entire world. Her name is Ileana and we ADORE her. I can not believe how much the kids have learned in such a short period of time. I'll put it this way, we come to Aqua Tots Lone Tree for their friendly staff, clean environment and reasonable prices but we STAY for Ileana. Having infants and trying to teach them life saving skills in the pool is ROUGH at times. You never know what kind of mood they will be in that day. And Ileana rolls with the punches. She doesn't get frustrated in the slightest. She's patient and very encouraging with our little ones. My sister and I work our schedules around this specific class with Ileana because we don't want to be with anyone else. We love her that much. My daughter now gets so excited to see Ileana before class every week and gives her a big hug before we start. I could really go on and on but in all, you're missing out if you haven't tried this swim school. BUT you're REALLY missing out if your child has not taken a class with Ileana:) read more

The staff and management are amazing. I had an issue with sharing a private lesson because my son had not learned to swim yet. I wanted to ensure that he was safe and paid for the one-on-one attention for water safety. I wanted someone to address that when they have a scheduling mishap, it is not the another client's responsibility to make it right. I was notified immediately that it will be addressed. Paid for 6 months of lessons. For 2 months now they been canceling and rescheduling. One time they canceled 1 hour before the lesson. All they can say is they are sorry and it's out of their hands. Heard this place is good but haven't seen it, actually haven't been able to get to first lesson cause they keep canceling. Asked for a refund but they can't accommodate that. You know how hard it is to tell your kid and get them excited for swimming and then let them down by telling them sorry they have to cancel. Buyer Beware! My kids had a bad experience before coming to Aqua Tots and literally cried the whole first lesson but quickly, they realized this place was different. Even though the kids cried they both agreed they wanted to come back! I have never written a negative review, so I sincerely feel bad sharing this - but I feel like it's important. My 2 year old daughter was so excited to begin swim lessons. On her first day at aquatots, her instructor took her and immediately dunked her completely under water- first thing - and she was upset and cried. I was hoping they would move on to other skills and he would recognize that she's was visibly crying and afraid of going under completely - but he didn't and forced her to go under water six times in under ten minutes. I even went in once and asked that he stopped completely submerging her and maybe work on another skill, take going under water in gradual steps, even try and make it fun etc. He completely ignored my suggestion/ request, and my once excited daughter cried the whole lesson. The next class she was so scared I couldn't convince her to go back into the pool. I taught swim lessons myself for 10 years, swam competitively in college- and watched our fomer (out of state) amazing swim instructor teach our older daughter. At aquatots, I've never seen such an incompetent, uncaring instructor. When I went to the woman behind the front desk to ask what to do, explained that my daughter was now terrified of going under water and could we find a solution - she was very condescending- saying things like "sometimes they just need to get dunked a lot and get over the hump." That's simply not true! I know that because now that she's at SwimLab now- and she LOVES swimming and the water again, and within a couple lessons she's already happy to go under water bc they make it a fun, gradual process. There are great options out there to learn swimming, a really important life skill, in a way that doesn't instill fear and where the needs of each swimmer and HEARD and met. They are incredibly patient and kind with kids that are nervous or uncomfortable or just being 4 :) Our son struggles with new things and changes and they have always worked with him to make him feel heard, but also challenged him to keep going. My family and I have loved lessons at Aqua-Tots! The instructors are great -- a perfect mix of fun and professional. I love that I can sit in a comfy seat and watch what is happening, with a great little play area and fun coloring activities for siblings that are not enrolled or waiting for their lesson. The manager, Anna, is so warm and welcoming! She has always been very accommodating to our schedule and needs and makes us feel right at home. Excellent staff and teachers and a strong curriculum! Our oldest took lessons elsewhere before we joined Aqua-Tots but still was not able to swim independently. After just a short time, she became a confident and proficient swimmer. We were also able to start our younger 2 kids (twins) here at 2.5years, which is younger than most places offer. We have been at Aqua-Tots since they opened and they are absolutely amazing. We have a special needs child and they are so amazing at meeting his needs. They are fantastic with all children's, but it is a rare find for a location to be so amazing with special needs children.
