When we moved during the pandemic, we found our dream home but needed to update both the front and backyard. The designer we worked with recommended Jason Wang of Aquagreen Landscapes. We felt at ease and comfortable with Jason from the very start. Before we began, he met with us to further update our design and made some suggestions to further enhance it. He created a 3D walkthrough rendering. His quote for the build out was reasonable and competitive. Jason and his team (Alfredo is awesome!) took care of all the details from start to finish. They created and submitted the plans for HOA approval. They got all the city permits. He coordinated the various teams for the different aspects of our project: pool, tile, etc. Jason and Alfredo were always very responsive and ensured that their crews showed up regularly. As with any construction project, we made some adjustments along the way, which Jason and his team were very receptive about. Jason would always try to make something we wanted happen. For the few things that didn't turn out as expected, Jason and his team were very responsible and promptly made corrections. We have had a very positive experience and highly recommend Aquagreen Landscape to anyone looking to create their dream yard. Let me share some of my true thoughts after what I have went through... 1. Very Disappointed First of all their work ethic was horrible. The job was rushed, the quality was terrible, and they didn't fix their mistakes. Overall a complete disaster and not worth the hassle. 2. Unreliable & Unprofessional Second, they missed deadlines which caused many inconveniences, overcharged without giving any heads up, and did an extremely sloppy job. Communication was a nightmare, and I truly felt regret hiring them. 3. Stay Away Also the work was not what we agreed on, and they refused to take responsibility. Terrible service and attitude, my first and last time here. 4. Not Worth It Overpriced for the low-quality work they provide. Honestly I had to hire someone else to fix their mistakes. Don't waste your money because I already did. 5. Frustrating Experience Lastly, they didn't show up on time, which is very unprofessional if they classify themselves as a team, don't communicate, and the results were disappointing. Take caution when dealing with this company. We are clients of their landscaping and have given them plenty of opportunity to treat us like customers and not cattle and we are completely fed up with their lack of service, lack of response, constantly have to fight and argue with them to correct their poor workmanship. Workmanship and quality - 1 out of 5 They literally had to redo almost everything 2 or 3 times after we had to point out the issues. In most cases, they were arguing with us and trying to convince us that the poor job was OK. For example, it took them 3 times to do our driveway tile and each time we had to point out the issues with how they laid the tile. Customer service - 1 out of 5 We are in our warranty period and they refuse to fix basic problems or are giving us a hard time when we request service. They do not take care of their customers after the installation is complete. Getting their attention requires threat of legal action for them to even call us or respond to our requests. Value - 0 out of 5 Aquagreen was the most expensive option out of the 4 or 5 bids that we had. We thought that because they were the most expensive that this would get us a better experience and better result. Given where we are at, they are not worth the additional expense. I recommend less expensive options for similar results. At least you will not have the expectation that their product is worth the additional cost Conclusion Different company is recommended. read more

Alfredo and the crew were present every day to make it a reality and the result of the combined hard- and softscaping with lighting are excellent. In reviewing Aquagreen's website, their projects' look and feel was similar to what we wanted. After meeting and speaking with with Jason (Owner) and Winnie (Designer), we knew we could trust them with our project--they listened to what we wanted and we jointly created a final design. Jason, Winnie, Alfredo (construction manager) and crew were all great to work with. From our initial meeting, design, HOA approval, city permitting, materials selection, construction, plant selection, completion, and follow up, the team communicated with us constantly and were always available to answer our questions. Their hardworking crew (2-4 people) worked six days a week. Our project started Nov. 2022 and was completed in June 2023. I have been patient with Jason and Alfredo and have turned a blind eye for almost everything they did but since they decided not to correct their issues, I will spill the beans... First of all, their design was great and they sound like professionals. However when the work started, it was a whole different story and cut corners! We thought having to pay several thousand more than other landscapers meant we can sit back and relax. It was just the opposite. Here are some of the issues... 1) Their guys didnt understand English so trying to communicate was an issue. 2) I always took pictures around the exterior of my home (before and after pictures) and document everything because their guys would do a sloppy job and create mess everywhere which was such a stressful process getting Jason to get it done right. 3) Confronting and pointing out an issue was like pulling teeth because all Jason wants is his deposit which is done in installments. He doesnt care if it needs to be redone or not because its still considered "done". 4) When the guys measured some of our tiles, it would be off by one inch or the pattern would not match the blueprint. They also did not put grout along our home, so there was mold growing or water would get stuck after it rained! Seriously?? 5) Every work they did, they had to redo everything THREE TIMES!!! I'm not exaggerating either. I have emails and text messages to prove it. I thought maybe it was just our house with this issue, but their other employees told me it wasnt just us. 6) We have told them multiple times to fix our sprinkler issue and every single time they come, they fix and replace plants. However few months later after threatening them to respond, its the same situation over and over again. Dead plants and sprinkler issues. The list goes on and on! So... my recommendation is to stay away from these guys. They seem nice at first but save yourself the stress we are going through. They dont care about you and only want your money. We had a very large backyard of pavers and artificial turf. The demo of which was probably the fastest of any contractor we've ever used. Within a matter of days, the whole backyard was ready for the concrete and tile. We had a firepit put in and has become the focal point of our yard. Jason and Team are fantastic. When other companies wouldn't return my calls or asked for $50k+ minimums, Jason responded to my request for a quote with an in person meeting same week. I didn't do much comparison shopping (because of what I just mentioned!) but the price seemed comparable to the one other quote I received and reasonable. His team took a bit of time to start -- about a month past the estimated start date he first gave me -- so don't get too attached to having your project done by a certain time. Now about the project: my backyard is a fairly small rectangular plot that had a chain link fence with overgrown ivy and mulch. They removed as much ivy as they could, built a wooden fence around it (as high as possible without needing a permit), removed the mulch and laid down beautiful tile. They built a small pergola and also a bar. I passed on the options for plants and lighting (doing both myself / with a friend) to stay within my budget. All in all, this project far surpassed my expectations --- they transformed a small pile of dirt into fantastic entertaining space. read more
