When I questioned this, he said: "I'm not rejecting you. Anyone who insults me with dishonesty doesn't deserve my services. I pride myself on honesty and transparency. I treat all my customers with respect and kindness. I am one of the kindest contractors you will come across. But for you to question my honesty is an insult." Transparency and clear communication are essential in good business practice. Any professional contractor should state upfront: "$2,100 cash, +4% if paying by card." Because the full picture wasn't communicated when it mattered, it's understandable that I felt the situation was not handled honestly.

All of the others continuously pressured me to schedule an on-site visit, despite my willingness to answer any questions via message. This process, coupled with the potential visit fees and the feeling that I was messaging automated bots, was frustrating. While Bracero was not the cheapest option, I was happy to select them because they cut out the b.s. and got straight to the point. They were flexible with scheduling, replaced the valve with the requested brand and model, and completed the work quickly and cleanly.
