Do not be fooled by all the good reviews you see on here! These people are rip off artists! I took my car there for one simple oil change and ended up shopping for a engine. The mechanics are skilled in sabotaging cars and charging you 4 or 5 hours labor for jobs they finished in under 45 minutes. The funny thing is that I was informed that the mechanics are all illegals! So if you decide to take your car, truck or SUV there then you deserve to be RIPPED OFF!!! The only thing that could maybe improve this place is to bring back Tom jr because Tom sr is nothing but a crook!!! read more

My sister asked the mechanic to check the antifreeze leak on her minivan, he diagnosed the car and suggested replacing the radiator because it was leaking and my sister agreed. Five month later she noticed an antifreeze leak. Not trusting this garage anymore she asked me to look at it. I usually fix my cars myself. I noticed the radiator was swollen and leaking. While removing the radiator I noticed that most screws were missing or broken. Then I removed the thermostat and tested it, the thermostat was bad and it was the original problem why the first radiator failed. There were other noticeable problems with the car like alternator belt ready to snap, the air filter dirty. read more

Took my car in for repairs. For one issue. Machanic recommend me doing something else instead to fix the issue. It took 7 days to change the part recommended and the price was high xxxx compared to other place. I received the car and was told the issue is fixed. After driving off 20 min, I was having the same issue I took it in for. Went back to to the shop and was told to run the car for a week with the engine light on and then was told they will have to fix the issue that I brought the car in for. They dude just try to get ride of me. So I was about to pay over 2000 for one simple issue. Already paid 1000 to the shop. And had same issue. I ended up going to another Machanic and all that needed to change was spark plugs . I didn't like my experience. read more

There are a few things I want to say about Aquila Motors. Firstly, I have always been my own mechanic and generally avoid taking my car to a garage at all. However, I found myself with an issue with my truck that I simply could not diagnose. I brought it down and spoke to Tom, letting him know all the diagnostic I had completed myself, as well as the thought process that got me there. He clued me in on what his course of action would be after patiently listening to explain my thoughts. I had the truck brought over the next day and there were three things that I found incredibly reassuring and helpful. 1. Because we didn't know exactly what the issue was, Tom made a point of calling me at the end of the day to explain exactly what they had tried, what the results were and how he planned to proceed. 2. He kept me up to date with the cost as we proceeded and I felt very comfortable about the cost effectiveness of what he was doing. 3. He was able to figure out the issue (something it would have taken me FOREVER to figure out), repaired it along with cleaning up a few other things... and all for less than the original quoted price. As a shade tree mechanic, it is a strange thing to give your car to someone else to work on. I had a lot of hesitations and Tom not only understood that, but made the extra effort to make sure I felt comfortable and in the loop. I was incredibly impressed with their professionalism and the quality of work done. I drove my truck all the way to New Hampshire immediately after picking it up and it honestly felt like a different vehicle. I could not recommend their services more highly and will absolutely use them again when I find myself in need of automotive services. read more

I don't know anything about cars, but when I brought my car in Tom took the time to explain everything to me before any work was done. He also called me multiple times during the day to check in with me on their progress, and explained a few other things the guys had discovered while working on my car. They got all the repairs done that same day, and when I called with some follow-up questions, the staff were as kind and courteous as ever in helping me understand everything. Aquila Motors is the best auto shop I've ever taken my car to. Tom Sr. and his son Tom are fantastic and I will only ever take my car to them! I was referred to them by a coworker after I moved to the area from out of state. I can not recommend them highly enough! They are kind, quick, thorough, and have reasonable prices. Tom Sr. once even took the time to explain exactly what was wrong with my car, show me the broken parts, explain how they replaced it, and told me things to keep an eye out for...at 5pm when he could have quickly just gone through what he'd done! My interactions with Tom Jr. have been just as wonderful. In fact, every single person I've interacted with at Aquila Motors has been nice, professional, and friendly. been here twice so far and never going anywhere else. Had a belt repair i'd needed done and so i called around for quotes. They were several HUNDRED dollars less than most places i called. and when i brought it in they explained to me exactly what needed to be done, what my options were, what i could hold off on and what needed immediate attention. (in my case telling me by doing 2 things at once id save $ on the labor, because they both required mostly the same work for belt replacements) i am always wary of car places. seems like a lot of them do a repair and give you a laundry list of 'needs to be done' bs repairs to make money off you. Its nice to find a place where i dont feel like im being ripped off for not knowing cars :-) read more
