I found JP motors after my "normal" mechanic suggested I use them for a problem with my BMW they weren't confident they could fix. I called them and had my car towed to them. 24 hours later they told me what I needed, gave me an estimate and 2 days later (they were waiting on parts) had my car back. The bill was less than the quote. I've since replaced that car and current cars are under warranty still. But they've now worked on my wife's car (mercedes) and my daughters car (Audi). I got into my car and saw the rear passenger window was down. Of course it was raining and cold. I called and got an immediate appointment with the parts on site. Everyone is so nice and trustworthy. My Mercedes C 250 has been leaking oil for a few months.. I had a car crash (ran into a tree stump) & Mercedes fixed all the damage but told me this oil leak wasn't caused by the stump and wasn't covered by insurance. They wanted around $290 just to diagnose the leak. Fast forward a few months I call Carmax and they give me a website which referred me to JP Motors. Carmax said they would be even cheaper than Carmax to go to them. I was dropped off to my house by an associate then given a loaner car as they needed my car a few days. Great price! Paid $500 for a job I'm sure would've been way more at Mercedes. Great work. Haley at the front is very nice and knowledgeable, I had no idea what she was talking about and she really explained things to me and helped me with the entire process which was real easy. Good shop. They know their stuff, and the operation is very professional. Generally, very good communication of diagnosis and work performed. The only negative is that they're fairly pricey. I find that my savings versus going to a dealer are scant. I also had an episode when they didn't communicate effectively, whereby they created the impression that they were offering me a certain add-on service as part of what I was already paying for. However, they ended up charging me the full labor for the add-on, which I wouldn't have had done if they had been clearer that I was going to pay list price labor for it. read more

I had initially had a good experience with JP Motors. I am sad to say that my recent experience was just awful. I brought my Audi in to have the front brakes diagnosed. Scott, who had been friendly before, took my car for a test drive, and he drove in a manner that was dangerous, tailgating trucks and scaring me needlessly. After looking at the brakes in the shop, they quoted a total of $1000 to fix the front brakes, including potentially replacing a caliper. Since I didn't have that much cash on hand, I declined to have the repair done, and paid for the diagnostic. Scott became enraged, and slammed the rotors on the desk, shaking the entire office. His coworker was stunned, and I was annoyed. It became quite obvious that they did not want my business. After learning that they charge nearly double the price for parts, I purchased my own online and had another very reputable shop install them. The caliper did not need replacing, and the entire cost at the other shop was $158 for labor and $230 for parts, totaling $388. I saved $612 by going to another shop, so I guess I have Scott to thank for helping me save money, but I would have preferred to have him be nice as well. It's a shame, because Haley was always polite, courteous and professional with me. I will not be back to JP Motors. Follow up: The shop that performed the repair showed that the rotors were in fact "well worn" and required replacement, as they were warped. They were not in "new" condition. The parts Scott ordered were AC Delco brand, which are *not* OEM parts, contrary to to what Joe asserted. There were no problems with the calipers. Scott's dangerous driving and anger was upsetting and I *did* speak with him at the time and got angry silence from him. I did not request high speed braking or driving to endanger, tailgating trucks! I did not request to have Scott become angry and unhinged! All of this happened on the same day. I find it interesting that the "tapes" of Scott's angry outburst have been erased. Who erases tapes so soon after an event? As it turned out, I discovered the price gouging. The AC Delco rotors that Scott wanted to use, and slammed on the desk as hard as he could, which are manufactured in the U.S., are *not* original. The rotors that I had installed were manufactured in Germany - specifically for Audi - and are the original manufacturer's equipment, and have worked well for half the cost. I'm just glad that I found out before going back to this shop. To prove that JP Motors wanted my business back again, they sent me a coupon in the mail for a 50 dollars off of my next repair! I don't trust them not to become angry and drive recklessly again, and had Scott not lost his temper, I might have remained a customer. read more

Fast, reliable service! They are honest and care about their customers! I drive over 40 minutes to bring my car to JP because I trust no one else. In addition to all of this- the level of convenience they offer is unparalleled. I knew I wouldn't make it back in time before they closed- not a problem at all-I was able to leave my card # with them and they locked my keys in a lock box for me to pick up when I could. They called me before charging my card and reminded me which lock box my keys were in. I even got to choose my own pin # for the box. You can't beat JP motors - they really are the best!! read more

These were the nicest people ever! We were on a road trip from NJ to Maine traveling on the Merritt when our Audi started making noise. We were already planning to stop at Katz's Deli so we looked to see if there was by chance a nearby mechanic who had time to take a glance. Cassie was SO nice on the phone and in person too, and we were able to have a tech look over out car and quickly fix the small issue in the time it took to eat a corned beef sandwich. Then, to top it all off, because it was a quick and simple issue, the did not charge us! Such nice people, we had to at least give them a tip. I wish I could give them more than 5 stars. read more

I took my Volvo to the same mechanic for 12 years.....but he retired and I was forced to look elsewhere for service. I am happy that my husband suggested I try JP motors. I had a worrisome noise in one of my front wheel wells and the check engine light had come on. It took a while to solve the engine light problem, and along the way a series of sensors and leaking tubing needed replacement. The front desk kept me well informed and gave me loaners until the work was completed. The car is now running beautifully and I would recommend this garage to anyone looking for foreign car service.
