I had a facial scheduled for a Christmas gift here and was pleasantly surprised. They had a sauna, steam room, two Swedish showers and a jacuzzi. While you wait for your service, they have a Keurig for you to make tea or coffee while you wait which was nice. I had an amazing hydro facial by Mi. It was so refreshing and rejuvenating! I do wish they had a small dryer to dry your clothes from the jacuzzi, but they do provide bags to put all your wet clothes in but all in all it was a great spa! read more

THE WORST MASSAGE OF MY LIFE. I've gotten a lot of massages done in my life. as I know reiki myself. My boyfriend and I got a couples massage asked for deep tissues and to target my lower back area. She didn't massage my back once didn't even touch my lower back. . She stood at the front of the table by my head and massaged my shoulders as if a cat was making biscuits on me. Then only moved to to rub oil on my legs. Missed my entire back. Rubbed my body in oil and that was the most of my massage. Just getting oil rubbed on me and nothing more I came out of the massage room in tears because of how bad it was and how much I had to pay to not even get my back rubbed After a stressful week and paying 530$ it was not worth it in the slightest. I don't normally leave reviews but for how abnormally pricey these services are, it had to be said. My massage was decent aside from the girl trying to talk to me about my job during it?? I don't want to talk really at all during a massage, but that is quite literally the last conversation you should be trying to have as someone whose job it is to help people relax. Then I got a pedicure, and for over $100 not including tip, this is the worst I have ever seen. I had to attach a pic of my toes (sorry) because this French tip is actually unbelievable. A literal child could do better than that. I maybe could've looked past it if not for the fact that somehow, I left with the dryness of my feet in worse condition than when I came, and I'm someone who keeps up with this at home. Again, I don't want to dog on these girls who were very nice, but this was a complete waste as I had to take this polish off as soon as I got home, and I wanted to say something because there are people who get these services before their wedding or other special event, and nobody should have to deal with this after spending so much to be taken care of. read more

They seem to have a lot of wedding parties on Friday and Saturday, so it gets very crammed. Also, be sure to check your bank statement after. Located inside the Ameristar Casino in St. Charles. This is a very nice, quaint, upscale full service spa salon with great therapists. The carry a range of products including facial creams, body lotions and oils. I recommend their facials along with deep tissue massages. There are 2 pool options; inside each of the private locker rooms and another indoor community pool just outside the spa area. Hotel guests as well as spa patrons have access to this pool. I personally avoid the community pool and opt for the large private jacuzzi to maintain my Feng Shui. I have witnessed children and untamed adult guests occupy the pool which completely turned me off. It is however a gorgeous pool. The waiting area is small but comfy. I knew that if I did a 50 min service I would be able to take advantage of the steam room, sauna and hot tub. I spent $100 for a pedicure. She did not use any tools at all! She used a fingernail file to get my gel off my nails and barley scrubbed my feet. I felt them at the end and asked that she do more. I left with rough feet and my old nail polish on my toes. She didn't even clean under my nails I enjoyed the locker room but that pedicure was a JOKE! My best friend went after me and had the same experience. I'll go get a $30 pedicure where my feet will be left smooth and beautiful. Never ever again! read more

I go to a lot spas. I go to a lot of massage specialties aka (massage lux/ massage envy). I love massage. I love spa! They are not the same! I'm posting this review based upon "spa" only, because the massage by Kaylee was 100% perfect!!! If I'm going somewhere that claims to be a spa with hydro therapy, much less associated with a national casino, I'm going in with higher than average expectations, and ara has a far less than average spa. Highlights below. Coed relaxation lounge? Not sure. There was a husband allowed in to wait on his wife. Relaxation room is not comfortable or quiet. Room divider from staff area is curtains, you can hear chatting, clanking, busy work while waiting in relaxation lounge. The only refreshments are by Keurig. Gross used Kcups, no caffeine free options, no honey. Coffee mate cream. Work break quality basically. Missing the most basic refreshments for a spa day; No Nuts. Dried fruit. Fruit water. No water at all in relaxation lounge. Hydro therapy was plain disappointing. Lockers half worked, half didn't. Rushed tour of very small facility. No menu options for paid food or drink. Personal care items non existent except a hairdryer and cotton balls No showers for after your services Two private rooms to change in are only two bathrooms. The only two bathrooms Part of the locker room is carpeted. Not ideal with "hydro therapy" in the same room It was noisy. The space is so small and there were groups of friends, they were complaining about work while I'm at a "spa" trying to forget about it. read more

Sadly this spa used to be one of my favorites but they have lost a lot of little touches, from really good specialty teas when you waited for your massage, to fruit infused water, as well as fruit being served in the ladies area, but they are charging more than ever for a massage. I didn't have a bad time, but I would not recommend. I've been to many spas in Las Vegas, specifically at Wynn, Caesars, and Mandalay Bay. I also really liked Spa Winghaven. Negatives: Staff was noisily rushing constantly from room to room taking out trash or carrying clean and dirty towels. There were three ladies in the hot tub for over an hour talking LOUDLY in a space marked "Quiet" and their volume carried throughout the entire area. Unfamiliar with electric teapots. I made the most unappetizing lukewarm cup of my existence. I had to exit the spa area to beg for a comb, not supplied. They seem to encourage eating and drinking during the spa experience. I have never seen a drink menu at a good spa. That makes me think they cater to bachelorette groups from small towns around STL. I also observed that the staff was ill informed on the questionnaire the spa host supplied us in the lobby. We filled out a two page form only to be re-asked "Want scent did you choose?" and "What kind of pressure do you prefer?" Find a better option. It was over all 'eh' for a lot of money. read more

I visited the spa today with my daughter and it was amazing!!! It was very clean, the staff was very friendly and it was super relaxing. Ramone with the hot stones was magnificent! This spa is absolutely stunning. As soon as you walk in the doors you feel a sense of calm. I've had multiple services here, and I have never left feeling disappointed. Each employee took their time with me and made sure they knew exactly what I wanted before they began the service. I feel the prices are very fitting for the service you get. I can spend a full day in this spa with no worry on my mind with how the environment is. It's a great place to go to escape the city and focus on self love. If you have an extra day off or are visiting for the first time, I highly recommend a day stop here to let your stress just roll off your shoulders. The one thing I would change is to have the waiting areas bigger in size. The only reason is when I'm there, I don't want to be seated next to anyone and I'm somewhat of an introvert. The staff here were very friendly. The facility was clean, inviting, and very comfortable. The massage was very soothing and I felt wonderful afterwards. There are only two downsides to the facility and that largely has to do with co-ed facilities. I went with 2 friends, one male and one female, and there was nowhere really for us to be together after our initial treatments. There is ostensibly a pool and whirlpool that spa guests can use but it is open to hotel guests which makes it not conducive to the spa experience. When we went to use it there was a family with small children in there. Not what we were looking for on our spa day. Plus the indoor pool was linked to the outdoor pool and was absolutely frigid. If they were to make the indoor pool and whirlpool for spa guests only and heat the indoor pool it would be absolute heaven. read more

Always told its based on availability and they are fully booked but then have plenty of openings available for services (and 100% empty pool) .. soo is it fully booked or not? I was terribly disappointed with my 1 1/2 hour deep tissue massage on Saturday, 2/24/18. This was one of the worst deep tissue massages I have ever had. When I went up to the cashier to pay the attendant, she asked how was my massage. I told her I was very disappointed. She kindly offered me a discount for next time. How about a discount on the massage that day. It was terrible. I will never go back to this spa! I would highly recommend going to Stonewater Spa in Frontenac. I went to Ara for a girls day with my best friend and we LOVED IT. We both received massages and my therapist was great!! It was my first massage but my friend, who has had many, said it was the best massage she's ever gotten. I would go just to use the "splash" area, it was so nice! The facilities were very relaxed and not crowded at all (we went on a sunday). I very much enjoyed that we had access to the pool party, so we went outside to tan and have some drinks and relax before our massages! 10/10 read more
