This place is NOT a relaxing atmosphere. My room had a ton of windows that let in a lot of light. When you are on your back you just see a ceiling of water stains. Fire alarm was pulled out of the ceiling. The whole room should be for storage. Massage was inconsistent. Normally they spend equal amount of time on each side and do similar things. My masseur spent maybe half the line on my left side than she did on the right. She also used different techniques on each side, and there was no reason for it. Also, I got the CBD upgrade, but I know she didn't use it but charged me for it. They say it is controlled, so the from desk lady poured it in a cup for the massage lady to add it to the cream. When I was dressing, I saw the oil still in the cup. I didn't question it at that point because I just wanted to get out of there and had a gift card, so I wasn't going to come back anyway to use the rest of the money. I just want to start by saying WOW! I mean the only other places I've had massages are at chains like massage envy or luxe. In no way did that compare to here. I had Toni as my massage therapist and she was amazing, she asked me questions beforehand so she knew what areas to focus on, and I could tell she listened by the way she massaged me. The ladies and I planned a girls' getaway with the expectation of a luxury spa day. Let me be clear -- if luxury is what you're seeking, do not book here. From the start, the experience was disappointing. During booking, we informed the spa that our group would consist of nine people. When we arrived, we were told they only had seating for seven -- and two of those seats were stepstools. When we asked for additional seating, we were told that "someone from their company" had already notified us of that limitation. That was not true. The person in our group who coordinated the booking never spoke to anyone by phone, and communication was difficult since everything is done strictly via email. There was no notification given. The service descriptions are also misleading. Several of us booked a 45-minute massage plus a 45-minute salt scrub or mud wrap -- under the impression we were paying for separate services totaling 90 minutes. Instead, we learned (only after questioning why treatments were running behind) that the spa combines the services into one 45-minute session. This was not stated anywhere during booking. To make matters worse, the on-site staff seemed confused as well. While they were very nice, any time we asked questions about what we paid for or how the services worked, the team had to step away to email or call someone else for answers. It felt disorganized and unprofessional from beginning to end. We came expecting a luxury experience and instead we were left feeling misled and uncomfortable before our services even began. If you're planning a special occasion or looking for a premium spa experience, I would not recommend booking here. read more

I used to come here frequently but I will not be returning. Charli used to be my favorite massage therapist but after she left, i hesitated in booking. I don't recommend Sejla whatsoever. I had a horrible time. She did not address the areas I asked her to focus on, I don't know why you would be massaging my head shoulders arms and hands after I asked to focus on my back and legs. It seemed like she was doing easy areas to pass the time. In addition to that, i booked swedish massage and she used absolutely no pressure, never asked how i was doing, or if the pressure was good like they usually do. She scratched my back with her nails by accident, and yawned in my face while i was laying on my back. I begrudgingly left a small tip but I truly wasn't planning on it, and i tip every where i go. I left with more stress in my body than I came with. She didn't even touch my lower back, and she spent probably 4 minutes on my legs in totality, 10 minutes on my shoulder, and the other 16 minutes everywhere other than where i had asked to focus. I am very disappointed honestly. I rarely leave reviews and when i do, they are most often positive. read more

Beware of Unethical Business Practices at Morgan Ford Spa - Soulard As a newcomer to the city, I've been exploring service providers and booked an appointment at Morgan Ford Spa - Soulard over the phone. I was not informed of their cancellation policy--neither during booking nor in the confirmation text. When I called on the day of my service to reschedule, I was told I'd be charged in full due to their same-day cancellation policy. While I understand enforcing such a policy, it's only fair if customers are made aware in advance. When I raised this issue, Nick, who identified himself as the Operations Director, was dismissive, repeatedly spoke over me, and handled the situation with unnecessary rudeness. A simple fix--updating their confirmation texts and properly training staff--could prevent this from happening to others. However, given similar complaints in other reviews, it's clear the business has chosen not to address it. I've visited their Webster Groves and Tower Grove locations before and would have rated them 2-3 stars. After this experience, I'm giving them 1 star due to their unfair practices and poor customer service. Nick had the chance to provide a positive resolution but did the opposite. I booked a service online and selected on their website "prefer female provider". This was not taken into consideration when they assigned a provider to me. There were no details about the assigned provider in the confirmation texts and emails sent up until my appointment. When I got to the appointment that day, a male was assigned to me. I saw under my name that it listed "female provider requested". This was ignored completely. I requested to reschedule my service with a female provider, which they did. When I left, after not receiving a service, my card was charged for a "missed appointment". Nothing has been handled professionally since and they have denied all refunds or any sense of accountability or apologies. I would not recommend this place, or any of its locations, to anyone. read more

I'm not necessarily saying don't come here, but I am saying I do not recommend Sejla. I booked a 2 hour massage for my birthday. I had some injuries while in the Navy that I have some lingering pain from, and some tightness with it. I booked 2 hours with the idea of being able to have my problem areas addressed while also having the time to just relax and enjoy the massage, as like a birthday gift to me. When brought to the room, I was asked what I wanted, which I explained the above, and specified the areas verbally and pointed to the injured areas (left shoulder, left knee). I also said I have general office tightness (neck, lower-mid back). Sejla starts with my right leg. I don't know how long she worked on my right leg, but she maybe spent 1/5th of that amount of time on my left leg (the leg I injured). Same thing happened with my shoulders and back, so much more time was spent on my right side, even though I specified my problem areas on my left side beforehand, and indirectly reminded her of when she was working on my right leg. As for relaxing and enjoying? Nope. Most of the massage was a few minutes with her hands on me, then she would stop and get up to do.... something? I don't know exactly what was going on, but every time she'd be massaging me long enough for me to sink in to relaxing, she'd stop and do whatever she was doing. I think a couple times she washed her hands? I bathe pretty well, and did so right before I left the house for the appointment. Maybe that's me being self-conscious? I don't think she was heating oils because the oil wasn't particularly warm, I'd say room temp at best. I spent most of my massage trying to figure out what she was doing every few minutes when she'd get up and walk away. Sejla is extremely nice. But, as nice as she is, I was just unsatisfied with my experience. I'm giving two stars for her niceness, and not to penalize the business as a whole too badly. If I could give 2.5 stars to rate the massage half of my body got, I'd have done so for the laugh, but yelp doesn't have that as an option. Like it says above, I'm not saying don't come here. The vibe is nice and the people I interacted with are friendly. Just... try someone else. read more

My husband and I are on our honeymoon and got sick after our wedding. We came down here to relax and now need to leave early because we both do not feel well (we are fairly certain it's Covid). I called to ask the spa's opinion if we should cancel based on how we both feel. They stated we will be charged a fee for cancelling the same day. I asked if because we are both sick they could waive the fee. The man on the phone said he'd call me back after speaking with his manager. The man called me back 5 minutes later and stated they could waive half the service fee charge and do us a favor. I'm still not certain how that's doing "us a favor" when in reality we called them first looking for guidance, as we did not want to get others sick. We felt we were doing the right thing by letting them know. My husband and I asked to speak to a manager. The man on the phone said he would "message management" to see if they could give us a call. So far no one has called us back. We feel we were polite and upfront about not wanting to get others sick. However, now we're left with a pretty hefty fee charge for no services rendered. We didn't want to get sick on our honeymoon, and we would have wanted to enjoy this massage had we not been sick. Would they rather us to expose their staff and customers? We do not recommend Morgan Ford Massage. Look elsewhere. read more

I tried Morgan Ford massage this week. Easy booking online. Cute little place, friendly service. But the massage was terrible... probably the worst I have ever had. I like deep, firm pressure. But- She used her elbows the majority of the massage. You don't have that great of control with your elbows. So they were going down my spine... yes- my spine. And today I'm covered in bruises on my arms and calves. I asked her to work on some knots in my shoulders- they were barely touched. I felt like I left with my knots and bruises than going in with. It felt like she has her massage routine down and did not adjust it for my needs. She was super nice but I would not recommend her. read more

I have been to this location 3 times and have received two massages and two facials over the course of the visits. Every time is a great experience starting with the reception and through the service. All staff are great at offering water at all stages of your visit. Another touch is they print the first names of all guests on a welcome sheet at the front desk. For the services I think they are a fair value for what you receive and all providers, where they have their own styles, give wonderful results. This is absolutely my go to place now and highly suggest it for others. read more

I reinstated my membership here after getting a gift certificate and and also trying the big chain massage places. They amended their cancellation policy slightly so that if they find a customer to fill your cancelled appointment they don't charge you - it's better than it was. I have since tried the Soulard location since it is closer to my house (and spitting distance to my favorite restaurants). I see massage therapist, Brandon, every time and never deviate - he's just the best in the business in my opinion. He's great with working out those tense knots in the shoulders and neck and he tailors each session to your specific needs that day. I am about to move out of Missouri and it makes me so sad to leave this place and Brandon behind. I did also get my eyelashes and brows tinted here. They looked fantastic after and I'd recommend trying it as a semi-permanent freshen up. It wasn't expensive although it did sting at times during the application. I'd never tried it before but I think I looked about 5 years younger, which was great going into a beach vacay. The tint lasted about a week in the sun and pool. read more

Annette was highly attentive and didn't rush my deep tissue with heat massage in the slightest. I had a Swedish massage a few days prior with a different spa and left that location still feeling tension in my muscles. After my massage with Annette, 90% of the tension had been released. I gave it 4 stars because of the noise. It would be nice to hear less sounds (doors opening/shutting, creaking floors, etc) when trying to fully relax. Went to get a simple haircut (trim to take off dead ends and layers throughout hair). While sitting in the chair the stylist says her expertise is in facials and manicures, I should have gotten up then. The description online when I booked my appointment said blow dry and simple style...when I left my hair was still wet and had to go home to finish drying and had to run flat iron through it. My hair was completely uneven and didn't look like I had just gotten a haircut. When I called to let management know my concerns I was offered the same stylist to fix my hair at no charge, I passed. read more

Sabryn was an excellent masseuse and I was so relaxed I fell asleep a couple of times. I received the 60 minute massage with heating and aromatherapy and it was worth it. The space was very intimate and well-kept. The staff was helpful and friendly.
