They are fantastic on shipping times and they carry authentic niche perfumes that may be difficult to find elsewhere. I've also noted that they usually have things in stock, even when other places don't: case in point Loumari's Porthole, which I will discuss later. First, I want to discuss their customer service. I placed my first order with four decants; one was a 5ml of Valaya Exclusif, the rest were 2mls. However, when they arrived, I didn't notice that they were all 2mls. It took months before I started cataloging my perfumes on a spreadsheet, and only then did I realize that I had been sent a 2m instead of a 5ml. I emailed PdF explaining what had happened including pictures of my order and what the sent. I asked if they could send me a bottle with the additional 3 mls that I was missing. Instead, they apologized and said they would send an additional 5ml, rather than the missing 3ml; meaning I ended up with 7 mls instead of my original order of 5 mls. This interaction made me appreciate and respect the company because they own up to their mistakes and take care of their customers. One of my next orders included a decant of Vanilla Powder Extrait. However, when it arrived, the printed label just said Vanilla Powder. I had previously ordered Vanilla Powder EDP, but it was also just labeled Vanilla Powder. So, I was unsure if I had been sent a second EDP in this order, or whether I was sent the Extrait I had actually ordered. I emailed customer service and they confirmed that I had been sent the Extrait even though the label didn't specify. So, I manually wrote Extrait on the label to prevent confusion with my other EDP sample. Their labels are literally my only gripe. I wish that they included more than just the perfume name--eg. Including Extrait/EDP/EDT would prevent confusion; having the brand, the decant size, and the date of the decant would also be great. But these are all things I can 'fix' manually by just writing them on the label. I've also had to manually write over some of the perfume names because they fade on the newer white labels. The old clear labels haven't fade. I manually written over them and then taped over that to seal them. After the above orders, I read that they have FREE brand samples, separate from their in-house hand decants, which cost $. So, I emailed them asking about the free samples, and about a promo code I had received from their marketing email. They didn't respond right away, which is very unlike them, so I emailed again the following week. I received a response apologizing as they had been very busy (I believe it was Valentines orders), and they explained that some brands don't allow higher discount codes, but they provided some other codes to try, and they provided their phone number and told me to text them directly when I place my full bottle order and they would add some free samples to my order. I had Loumari Porthole in my cart, but delayed ordering it because I wanted to make sure I didn't want to add anything else to my order before I placed it. Of course, when I went back to my cart to order it a week or so later, it was listed out of stock but available for pre-order. I checked several other websites, and no one had it in stock. This is something I've noticed about PdF, which other sellers don't do. They will tell you when something is unavailable (truly out of stock) vs currently not in stock but available for pre-order from their next shipment. AND they often have things in stock that others don't. Instead of preordering, I decided to check the website every now and again, and the day it came back in stock I ordered it with a 15% off code. I then text the number the customer service person gave me, and they replied immediately --even though it was Mother's Day weekend--and said would add some samples to it for me. WELL....I got my order today and along with with FB, and a 5ml decant I purchased to carry in my purse, it arrived with 7 free brand samples! These aren't just your normal run of the mill samples, they are expensive niche perfume samples (from the brands; not decants) including: Roja - Isola Snow (Parfum) Xerjoff - Torino24 (EDP) Vilhelm Parfumerie - Mango Skin (EDP) Fugazzi- Angel Dust (extrait) Matiere Premier - Vanilla Powder (Extrait) Matiere Premier - Crystal Saffron (Extrait) Essential Parfums - Bois Imperial (Extrait) Honestly, I couldn't be happier. I love this company. Yes there are other stores out there (Lucky Scent/Scent Bar; Twisted Lily; etc), but I adore Parfums de France above all others because of their customer service, attention to detail, glass (usually metal topped) spray decant bottles, non gouged prices, frequent discount codes AND FREE fast shipping (their order total for FREE shipping is lower than any of the other stores I mentioned). My friend had tons to buy that day and one of them came over to give her a basket. I appreciated how well executed the merchandising was in the store. Although it had high customer traffic, there was hardly any wait at a long line. The shelves were well stocked and organized. I was excited to find that my favorite soap, Rose Water and Ivy made a return in the non-foaming soap variety. They were gone for awhile and I'm so glad it's back again!! The cashier told me that the next best deals/ sale will be right after Christmas and not during Black Friday. This was good to know. I look forward to stopping by again in the future.

The staff greet you and allow you the chance to work your way around the store independently or guided if you ask for additional assistance. I love when fragrance shops are set up in a way that I as the patron have the ability to just explore without having to ask at a counter, so this is a HUGE plus for me. They have an amazing range of niche perfume, many brands that I had never heard of. I really enjoy having the chance to try out a new brand and get a feel for their curated scent experience. The shop itself is also really well decorated and put together. Each area is labeled with a scent category like "woody, green, gourmand, etc..." which made the experience even better. Stop in, explore the smell goods, and buy a new bottle of perfume (I definitely did!).

After a short amount of time we were approached by one of the owners in case we needed assistance. I did not need assistance and neither did my wife. Still, we appreciate the offer. I saw one outfit I liked, but my wife doesn't wear skirts or dresses. Something she picked up from her mother. Nevertheless, I liked the dog picture, but will have to imagine someone else wearing in my mind. Guess I will put it on one of my characters, but I digress. There are other items I this store and I only got a glimpse of what is sold here. Still, the staff was friendly and I will pay another visit to this store. I ventured in and was wooed to make several lovely purchases by the very attentive shopkeeper! One cool thing is that we discovered we have variants of the same surname! (My husband is half Korean.) It's a relatively uncommon Korean name, so that was pretty neat. I probably wouldn't have bought anything (the items were a bit pricey for my income), but Kum (the nice shopkeeper) gave me discounts after I asked if there were any sale items. I realized that you can definitely barter a bit, especially if it's your first time. They want to make you a repeat customer! I was surprised by the pretty leather handbags. They were a bit too expensive for me, but my eye was caught. They have a variety of colors and styles (more unique than you'll find at TJ Maxx). The clothing was interesting. A lot of the styles were not quite for me (intentionally loose blouses with pretty involved/sparkly patterns), but there were a few that I absolutely loved. I ended up getting two BEAUTIFUL flowy skirts, of very good quality. It's so hard to find delicately made, modest, beautifully worked skirts like these. I bought a blouse that has a lovely pattern (it's a fabric that Kum assured me is sought-after in Korea). I bought the loveliest little tulle scarf (they had a variety of colors...could have bought them all). Kum was constantly checking on me as I was trying things on and brought me tops and bottoms based on what I'd picked out. As a former sales associate for a women's boutique, I can tell you that this strategy WORKS and is actually appreciated by customers who just want a little encouragement (and a little pampering, if I'm being honest!). She even brought me some bold kitten heels...that cracked me up! But I was actually considered some black-and-white striped ones...and I never in a million years would have tried them on without her suggestion. I also bought something I never thought I'd buy...stylish tennis shoes. They're absolutely adorable (see the photo I posted). They were thoughtfully displayed in the fitting room stall (brilliant marketing move, putting attractive handbags and a variety of shoes in there to catch your eye!). They look like they're emulating a designer (I'm not in the know enough to know which one) and are super cute. Kum asked me how I'd found her shop. I had seen a few Korean boutiques while getting amazing authentic Korean comfort food, and did a simple search on Apple Maps for "Korean apparel." There are several other boutiques in the area which I look forward to perusing. She said she would love to attract more visitors who aren't Korean. I told her that I agreed, that I thought lots of ladies would love her store. She asked if I could leave a review and I enthusiastically assented! Visit this store if you want to spend an afternoon imagining what it would be like to shop in Korea! Don't worry...prices are displayed in USD, not Korean won. ;) There's something for everyone here, and I bet you'll be asked where you found your purchase!

I used to go to this place when it was in Falls Church City. It was always overpriced and sort of…read moresnooty, but they had some unusual and cool clothing items I purchased over the years. When they moved to McLean earlier this year, I went with about 20 items to put up for consignment. (I had made appointment as they require.) I brought in beautiful clothes, in excellent condition. They took the boxes to the back to inspect the clothing and choose which they wanted to take for consignment; and while that was going on I browsed. I couldn't believe the downgrade in the clothing; while the quality was fine, I did not see anything stylish for sale. I was not even tempted to try anything on. After about 20 minutes the owner comes back and says she cannot take any of my items, although she would consider one in the fall (it was a spring/summer item, as were all the pieces, as this took place in mid-Spring) and I "could come back in a few months." Super dismissive and arrogant. The one good thing was the friendly young man at the counter, who I chatted with while I waited. I see the positive reviews here are years old, so here's an update: NTY management is just as or even more snobby now, the prices are even higher -- not just because of time passing but also likely the expensive location -- and they don't even have cool clothes any more.

The staff were visible and ready to help but not pushy. The inventory was well curated and full but not overly stuffed. I saw a number of nice sweaters and dresses that I liked, and I ended up buying one. Also a lot of fun gifts, jewelry, and assorted decor items. This store is geared toward an older crowd, which I really like. I'm past the age of shopping at some other resale boutiques that focus on only the trendiest items in juniors sizing. New To You is more JCrew and higher-end items. Prices seemed to be about 50 percent off original retail. Could you find some of these items thrifting? Sure, but it'd be like pulling a needle from a haystack. I'm willing to pay more for a tailored selection of good-condition items. I'll come back to shop here.

A smile is the easiest way to welcome someone but maybe isn't in their training. They also didn't acknowledge my boyfriend, who was obviously just there to be with me. I saw there were seats in the back with some reading material but they didn't mention anything to him. After we left, we both couldn't get over how unfriendly the staff were. They weren't rude, they were actively not friendly. Who's this boutique for? Your one friend in the world who has an unlimited bank account? I wanted to buy one of their running shirts but it felt like buying something here was to buy bad karma. I'll try their other location sometime but I have low expectations after coming here.
