I am so thrilled with my experience ordering online from Arielle Shoshana! They shipped my perfume within hours, they included all the samples I requested, even the backup one I mentioned just in case any of my first 3 were out of stock, that was so kind of them to give me an extra! There was no issue fulfilling my order even though my shipping address is different than my billing address which has been an issue with another frag boutique that automatically cancels orders like that. Regarding that other boutique, I had a great experience in person when visiting Portland, but I had issues with my online order going through and once I got that worked out they didn't include the samples that were promised. So the next time I was ready to order a niche perfume I had sampled at that shop, I found it at Ariel Shoshana's website and ordered from there and so glad I did! I have a new favorite niche fragrance shop! I will absolutely be ordering more in the future and perfume collectors purchases can really add up! This is strictly for my online experience as I have yet to have the privilege of visiting the physical store. I was on the hunt for an illusive fragrance, and when I emailed customer service for help they QUICKLY solved my olfactory emergency! (No literally they answered the email within minutes of me sending it and on a Saturday no less) So I've had people try to match this fragrance for me in person and sight unseen (or scent unsniffed) the staff here got closer than anyone else ever had!! I couldn't believe it! I also love how if you order online, you get samples of your fragrances so you dont have to open the bottom and compromise your return, in the event you are dissatisfied. I love this store in the heart of the Mosaic District! To be honest, prior to visiting this store, I did not know much about fragrances - but I'm starting to learn more! It's definitely as advertised - a perfume playground. It's really fun to try the different scent and scent families around the store. The scent I went home with (Tokyo Nights) was unlike any other perfume I've tried and liked before, but I just could not get it off my mind! I love the little touches in the store - like Polaroid shots of the first customers of a particular perfume. When I decided to buy Tokyo Nights they were actually out of it and e-mailed me when it was back in stock. I was super excited to pick it up and get a few samples with it. If you are a fragrance lover, you have to visit this store! Actually, just visit it even if you aren't a fragrance lover or if you are just looking for a unique scent as a gift for someone else. The store came across my Tik Tok timeline and I had to make sure I visited right away because I cannot turn down a good fragrance experience. As a reference, the store is located in the direction of Shake Shack on the opposite side of street (near Bartaco). This is for the people who easily get turned around like myself. LOL I loved that all of the fragrances are separated according to the type of scent (florals, oud, etc). If you have a certain scent preference, you can immediately go to what you are looking for. I also love that each bottle has the fragrance notes on the back. I've been spending more time lately getting familiar with notes so I had a great time sniffing everything! The employee who helped me was so nice and kind and I'm really sorry that I did not get her name! She asked me about the fragrances I plan to wear for the fall and suggested some scents. She also gave me so many samples that I was just in awe! I purchased their signature fragrance sample set. And when I tell you that I am IN LOVE with one of the scents....I am literally stalking the website for a restock! I also found another scent that I love and plan to order in the future. Although I have not stepped foot into this store I found this little gem online/Instagram. Arielle is lovely and knowledgeable. I've ordered a few times and got both times handwritten notes and fragrance samples and etc. I was looking for some interesting candles due to the fact for the last few months we had to "shelter in place" and living up in Western, NY State and Spring does not really come. It's Winter.. than warm. Ok onward... She has so many interesting things, some niche brands from England, France the states and more. This far she seems to be the only place that has Ormonde Jayne Candles.. especially Champaca what a joy. (This is a London, England based company) also I found Nomad Noe, DS & Durga, Boy Smells and more. I'm also considering trying London by Gallivant also a niche brand. I will tell you this their Instagram presence is great and she's been doing some Instagram Live with a lot of the owners of these brands a plus to get to know the creative forces behind them & how they started. If you want something different, special and something others won't have give them a whirl. Sure it's $$$ but the CS is excellent. Nestled in the Mosaic District (shopping and dining strip out Fairfax, VA), AS is a small fragrance boutique shop that offers niche fragrances categorized by scent families with notes and prices on the back or bottom of bottles AND great customer service by Arielle herself to boot! I've been wanting to visit, but could never find time. I finally took myself as a birthday treat and it was everything I could imagine (a week day morning I had the store to myself). I sniffed my heart out and Arielle was available for any questions and feedback- super helpful and not judgemental;not a fragrance snob, thankfully! She assisted in the best way like a true fragrance lover... asking the right questions to help me narrow my focus--never overbearing. AS carries niche brands including Vilhelm, DS&Durga, MFK, Juliet Has A Gun, Lab on Fire, Gallivant, Olfactive Studios and more. I didn't know I taking to Arielle herself until the end is my visit. I want to go back and purchase another bottle just because my experience was great. After using my sense of smell exhaustively, there were restaurants and ice cream shops in walking distance for a quick bite to eat. I had the most wonderful time at Arielle Shoshana yesterday! Like others, I learned about the store via TikTok and decided to make the +1 hour trip to visit...completely worth it. The store is so intuitive and effective, setting up perfumes by different kind of scent families i.e. Citrus, Spicy, Floral, Undefinable, and then listing the individual perfume's notes on the bottle so you can identify exactly what you like about the scent. I was so excited to smell all the niche viral perfumes I'd seen online (MFK, Vilhelm Parfumerie, Liis, Imaginary Authors) without having to blind buy or pay crazy amounts for discovery sets. What truly made my experience was the customer service. Perfume is a commitment and an investment for me, and at no time did I feel rushed or pressured. Katri was so kind and patient as I smelled what felt like every perfume in the store. When I asked for a recommendation for cardamon-based perfume, she pulled a variety of options for me including what might be a new favorite. And when I couldn't make up my mind, she provided three generous samples for me to think about. Ordered "The Long Weekend" sample set and was so excited to try these fragrances. Unfortunately, the bottles or nozzles are faulty. 3 of the 4 fragrance samples did not dispense at all, and the 4th one dribbled down the side of the vial in a liquid, not a spray. I'm so disappointed at wasting $55 on these samples only to not be able to use them properly. This was my first order from Arielle Shoshana and I will steer clear of them in the future. read more

I bookmarked this place awhile ago as I was intrigued by the concept of a niche fragrance boutique. Let me say this place lives up to the concept and then some! First of all the design and setup is so nice. The store has a very clean and minimal feel so you can really focus on the fragrances. Also all of the perfume is organized by category, e.g. fruity, sweet, spicy, etc., which is sooo helpful. The perfumes themselves are just gorgeous, unique yet beautiful. I found that if I liked one perfume in a category I liked them all for the most part! The only perfumes I didn't like were those in the "scent categories" that generally never appeal to me in any store. There are so many options and everyone is unique so this is a great place to get a truly signature scent. The people in the shop really know their products and you can tell they are passionate about what they do. Also almost all of the scents could be worn as unisex if you desired which is very cool. I haven't stopped raving about this store to my friends (absolutely not sponsored, just a huge fan) because it's seriously a one-of-a-kind store in the DMV area and something I didn't know I was missing in my life until I stopped by. If you're already a perfume lover or just stepping your toes into the world of scents, this place is a must-visit. There's something to smell for everyone! The store itself is simple and clean with perfumes lining the walls, but I could (and have) spent hours in here smelling everything since they carry scents you normally can't find at big department stores. Arielle, the owner of the store, is so kind and gracious. You can just tell she's so passionate about her store and super knowledgable about perfumes in general - her suggestions are on point. She will also help you find something that fits your personality or mood, she helped me pick a gift for my then fiancée which she wore to our wedding. What a delightful visit to this beautiful boutique that has the most exceptional service. My first visit was a couple of years ago and I was not at all familiar with any of the brands sold here. I'm so happy to have stumbled on it and today's visit was my first venture into a store (grocery and home repair aside) since the start of the pandemic. let me start by saying i hardly ever take the time out of my life to write reviews but for this trash i will - sold fake perfume and refused to return the product it was watered down and smelled like pure alcohol- i purchase the same product from the manufacturer directly and occasionaly from sephora and never has it ever smelled like this before. truly thought i had covid symptoms when i smelled it, this can't be real! but to not offer a refund or replacement is terrible business. i compared the two bottles that i literally received today with the two bottles purchased from juliette has a gun directly and legit the two from arielle shoshana smell like nothing at all. the arielle shoshana employee that answered the phone is a complete fail. to be continued.........in our phone call today you tried to compare the authenticity of the perfumes that im disputing to the two samples that you packaged with my order please see photo. you won't issue a refund unless juliette has a gun will state that their products are faulty, i contacted them via email- they won't. you altered the product and in comparing what you sold me to what i have from sephora it smells like isopropyl alcohol. see photo for samples sent. the samples you asked me to use to verify authenticity that are clearly packaged by you, of course they smell the same. but when you compare them to the same product from sephora your products smells like trash. ive initiated my dispute with the bbb and ap. i have my email from juliette has a gun. the proper thing to do would've been to apologize and return this product that has clearly been tampered with! read more

Although I left without a purchase, I had a wonderful experience. I typically get my perfume at Bloomingdales and it's the more common ones like Jimmy Choo, etc. I often don't stray from my norm. As soon as I entered Arielle Shoshana's I was greated by a pleasant, lovely person who I later found out was Arielle.
