What a not so hidden, hidden gem! Just 5 minutes up the road from us, I am ashamed to have passed…read moreby on countless occasions. While unsuspecting from Germantown Pike, this winery/vineyard has an expansive space for events and regular traffic. There is an inviting porch area that overlooks the vines and on the weekends there is live music. There is also an indoor space to hide from the elements or just lay low which is what we had opted for. Everyone we encountered who worked here was so welcoming and pleasant. Both of us got a wine flight making sure to try an assortment of drys, reds, whites, and sweet wines. While I generally lean into sweeter wines, every glass we tasted was enjoyable! We also gave the bubbly flight a try which was also delicious. They do have a full kitchen and we heard raves about the flatbreads and appetizers from the next table over. They even have a calendar of events including workshops, musicians, etc. to stop in and enjoy. Definitely looking forward to our next visit.

Turned into the parking lot walla. Cute little winery in the neighborhood. The service was awesome. Our servicers were on point and the food was freaking amazing. What a great and tasty menu, everything was fresh and the wine choices were very good. The vineyard is tucked back off the road. Definitely a local quick stop for a great time with your peeps, good wine and food.

Open Meadows Farm is a horseback riding facility on a historic property set in the bucolic…read more country near Skippack, Pa. They also run a Horseback Riding Summer Camp for children and most recently have been hosting children's birthday parties. We recently planned and attended a wonderful party there and were delighted with the results. The "Dragon" themed party was planned for a 6 year old with guests ranging in age from 4-6. Five was the perfect number for this party but the Farm allows up to 10 guests for two hours. The ponies were adorned with their "unicorn" costumes to the delight of the riders. Each pony was accompanied by 2 experienced handlers. Every child was required to have a parental waiver signed and were provided with a helmet for safety. I have never seen so many smiling faces before. Two ponies allowed for multiple rides by each child and that was something they really loved. Short wait time! The next activity was a wagon ride full of real hay around the beautiful and historic farm founded in 1774. Adults and children alike enjoyed communing with nature and enjoying the beauty of the day. Kids love throwing hay at each other and reaching high for overhanging branches. We moved onto the Fairy Garden where dazzling little fairies had been hidden in the trees, just waiting for discovery by the little party guests. I counted at least 22...there could have been more. For a small fee each child was able to "find" a special magic stone that had been hidden just for them. We had to drag them away from the Fairy Garden..they really loved it. On to the rustic barn which had been festively decorated with tiny twinkle light. We brought our own decorations, paper products and balloons and set things up before the guests arrived. A burlap covered table for the guests reinforced the farm atmosphere and an extra table was set up to hold the ice cream cake, cookies, snacks and drinks. An old wooden wheelbarrow was draped to provide a spot for the gifts. It was a great party and I cant wait to go again with another group. The Fischer family made it an absolutely perfect day for the children and I highly recommend it for anyone looking for an alternative to video games and bouncy houses!!
