You take a wagon out to the field and they provide a saw. Then once you've made your selection and cut it down, the attendant will tag your tree and load it into the wagon for you. When we got back they shook and netted the tree for us and tied it onto the car. They also had a selection of precut trees if you prefer. They had a concession stand with apple cider donuts, hot chocolate etc and a fire pit for roasting marshmallows. Great experience!

What I mean is, I'm not a bird watcher and don't know much about bird habits or the sounds they make or their migration. But I can say that I learned a lot from the displays here today and enjoyed walking through the entire thing. It gave me a better appreciation for birds in nature, how they fly, the threats to their survival, etc. And the place isn't preachy. Just a very informative, pleasant learning experience. There's good information here that's well and efficiently presented; it's just enough - it's not stuffy or oppressive. The staff is helpful. We were fortunate that a house tour was beginning during our visit, and we joined that tour (included in the admission price). The tour is given by a volunteer docent. It was very informative, and we learned a great deal about Audubon (the good, bad and the ugly) and his life, marriage, his work and his valuable contributions to the field of bird studies. I'm giving this 5 stars for what we saw, and I'm assuming (confidently) that a walk/hike through the grounds on a nice day would be great.

What a colorful character. The mission of the center is to educate people to cherish and protect the natural world by preserving Audobon's artistic and scientific legacy. I had no particular interest in birds, but I was fascinated. The center is located on a bird sanctuary -- and the grounds are beautiful. There are trails which visitors are free to explore. BTW, if you're looking for a venue for a special event, check this place out. Staff was setting up for a wedding while we were there, and I was impressed.

Ruth and Abby are a warm and welcoming mother/daughter team. Having grown up in this area I can say without question this is an authentic local farm and the products are top quality. The cows and all animals on this farm are clearly living their best life, they are well cared for and loved. Once you buy milk from Pigeon Creek Farm you won't want to buy it anywhere else!

First let me say that this is by far the fanciest raw milk farm stand I went to. I've never been to one that had a person working inside with a card scanner for credit cards and AC blasting. Wow that was fancy and maybe why the milk price is so high? Also made me feel a little uncomfortable to have someone watching me. Raw milk is $8 a gallon. We typically pay $5 at another local farm so this felt very high. Also the cows are not 100% grass fed and are given some grain. I guess $8 seemed like a price I'd see at a middleman like Kimberton WF and not at the stand. We would be frequent customers but I refuse to pay $8 for not 100% grass fed milk. The lady working there was super friendly and you can walk around and see the animals on the farm.

I really want to give five stars because I love the idea of community supported agriculture (CSA),…read morebut I feel like there are other farms that provide more bang for your buck. Living Hope CSA is great because they have a close drop off location to my house, and I like supporting local farms which provide us weekly fresh organic produce free of fertilizers and pesticides. The vegetables (and fruit such as tomatoes) are DELICIOUS, but I think other CSAs give more produce each week. (We compared what we got to what our friends get from other CSAs that also do 6 items for a small share.) At one point during the summer, Living Hope CSA did email all its members to say sorry about the quality of vegetables since the weather has been hot, but I think it would have been nice if they offered credit back or a discount for future farm shares. One thing I like about this CSA is that you can pick from a list of what you will be receiving each week. (The other CSA I am comparing to does not let you pick each week.) Unfortunately, by giving the option of choice, sometimes they run out of the popular items and you get a random item instead. That's okay, but sometimes you will receive out of season vegetables. For example, I received potatoes in the middle of summer (tiny potatoes in a tiny portion). I did order potatoes later in the fall though, and they were great. Save the cool season vegetables for the cool season!
