Heading south of N'ville straight from the airport dodging traffic via back roads, needed a good…read morespot to eat on the way and found Top Grill was the perfect stop. Boy, I'm glad we did. Don't let the fact it's a food truck stop you. I'm reminded that many of the great titans of Texas BBQ started out as food trucks as did many others. Top Grill isn't just a name, it's who they are. Not only was it quickly made (max 5 min wait), it was quality delicious. They win by keeping it simple with select offerings of a burrito, street tacos, quesadilla, loaded fries or 2 different burgers. The striking pin on the lapel item tying everything together harmoniously is actually the orange sauce. I told the Top Grill meister named Moose they need to call it "Tornado Sauce" & bottle it to sell. It's THAT tasty! I'm amazed it is mayo based for the flavor is poppin'! Sitting outside a fuel station, they've got one umbrella shaded picnic table, there's plenty of parking. Now for the food: I'm familiar with authentic Mexican street food & they do it right simply by garnishing with grilled onion petals, pickled carrot slices, & 1/2 a jalapeño, which perfectly accentuated my steak burrito & street taco (steak, cilantro, diced onion on corn tortilla). Speaking of the burrito, talk about a densely packed hunky roll of goodness. It was truly dynamite! Properly portioned, every cheesy bite was the same. (You find places often annoyingly chunk their ingredients disproportionately and each bite is different, but not here!) I didn't want it to end. Dollop the tornado sauce for each bite elevated with a squirt of ‍ lime and you'll be coming back for more, trust me! Street taco was good enough to lick your fingers after, yum!! I'd have eaten several if didn't already have a huge burrito. My party had the Stack Attack burger which looks small, but is actually perfectly sized considering its double-patty melded together perfectly with ample cheese, bringing it all the way home with succulent brisket bacon. Man, I feel like I'd want one a day and that's just looking it! Then actually downing it will confirm that desire.... I'm sure the Top Gun is just as loaded in flavor! The fries were absolutely the perfect crispy texture with soft potato interior & the seasoning is addictive. My only slight critique is a tad less salt to let them sing. You can get them L O A D E D with everything for a huge feast too. Top Grill is a winning food truck, don't let this one roll away before you get some. Great food, great people & great futures ahead as they keep doing it right!

Hot chicken sandwich and pesto chicken wrap were GREAT…read more The level 5 heat was just a perfect amount of heat and the chicken was juicy (mine was dark meat which I'm not mad about). The pesto chicken sandwich was also bigger than I thought! Fries were also crispy, good amount as a side. The burger was unexpectedly good too. The only reason why it's not a 5/5 for me is because of the location and seating. I don't mind bars (got a good draft beer) but it's shared space outdoor space. Seating is ok, but not the cleanest and the visuals around you and smell of left over cigs weren't it... Other than that - 5/5 food!

They operate out of a food truck, which means prep times may be longer than they would out of brick and mortar. If time is NOT on your side just wait until you have time to spare. You won't be disappointed believe me. I'm prob wha you call a wimp when it comes to spice levels. The highest I've gone is a 5, but I believe they go up to 10/11. Some things you have to ease into. After hearing them explain the levels of heat, 5 was a safe spot for me. The tenders are juicy and coated entirely by breading and spice level of choice. The juiciest tenders you ever put in your mouth. They do have dipping sauces available (ranch, spicy ranch, maple honey (their spin on honey mustard). For sides you can choose fries or pasta salad. Both are good. I just prefer a little fry action with my tenders. If you've been contemplating on going, DON'T. Just go! Oh yeah the chicken sandwich is also great too. I still need to try the burger!
