I've passed this place a ton and tbh didn't even know it was a sub shop, maybe I'm oblivious but thought it was a smoke shop. Makes sense now tho! First glance it seemed kind of gimicky and themed to the point where your like "there's no way they have good food here" I stood corrected though. Their subs are actual on point! Had someone recommend a god sub and I really enjoyed it, their cookies are in house made from what it looks like and it was phenomenal. I really want to try the other subs on the menu now. read more

If you accidentally woke up and took magic mushrooms this is what you would probably imagine the inside of a restaurant to look like. The inside is covered in trippy decor, colors and patterns which is pretty cool, definitely a hippie vibe. The menu is easy to navigate and staff was friendly and accommodating when I asked about the sandwiches. The sandwich itself was toasted perfectly the bread was not hard but had a nice chew to it. I got the garlic bread and I did not notice much if any garlic flavoring for the sandwich but it was also my first time here so I will compare that to the white bread next time. The pickles added a nice crisp to the sandwich and there were also peppers on the sandwich which gave it a little sweetness. The 5-0 is basically an Italian with bacon added. I did think the meat looked a little underwhelming portion size in the cross section but it actually turned out INCREDIBLE. I loved the ratio of meat to toppings and it all blended beautifully together. You could taste every single item individually from each meat to the pickle, to the sharp shredded cheddar grated on top. This will be my new favorite Sando spot. Unfortunately I am never out this direction where the store is located but it's worth the trip. Can't forget the Miss Vickie's spicy dill chips! read more

Holy cow now THAT'S a good sub. As it is, it's hard to find good takeout spots but wow Cheba Hut knows how go make a good sub AND get it to you in fantastic condition (no soggy bun, no messy ingredients all over the place, etc.). When looking at pictures, the parmesan/dressing situation looks like there's a lotttt but they have mastered it. Not overpowering at all, in fact it's the perfect amount. An awesome place if you're looking for a delicious toasted sub, a cold beer, or some fresh Kool Aid! I really enjoyed my lunch at Cheba Hut. The subs were easy to order and it came with a bag of chips and a soft drink. I tried the 8" 5-0 on their Garlic Bread. It was super tasty and includes lots of meat and toppings. I subbed Swiss Cheese for Cheddar. All of their subs are served warm unless you specify otherwise. The warm meat, melted cheese, and toasty bun really made this sandwich something special. Their soda fountain includes sodas, sweet tea, and 3 flavors of Kool Aid. All of that was great for me because I like to mix my sodas. I really enjoyed my "Purple Arnold Palmer" made with lemonade, sweet tea, and some Grape Kool Aid! This place is decorated so well. There are a million cool signs and knickknacks everywhere. And one really cool mural. There is Bar Seating and they also have lots of tables indoors and outside on their large patio. The staff are super friendly and really helpful. Such an unexpected experience. Early Sunday afternoon for us out-of-towners. Not busy yet. Wasn't sure what to order, so we ordered all different sandwiches. Truly unique sandwiches, almost as unique as the creative atmosphere. But what we loved the most were the playful servers; went out of their way to chat with us and our twins. Wonderful sub shop. You might want to view the menu before you get there. Nothing basic on the menu. We ordered 12" subs intending to take half home. The cashier asked we wanted half wrapped to take home. Must be a regular request because there was a print out on the receipt. I had the Thai Stick. It was supposed to be teriyaki chicken. No hint of teriyaki but the sandwich was delicious! The bread was outstanding. We both had the garlic bread. The bread wasn't super dense and over filling. The ingredients on the sub were ample. I could only eat about 4" of the sub. No way could I get my mouth around the sandwich. Napkins are provided on the table which was brilliant! I used a lot of napkins. They have Pepsi products PLUS three flavors of Kool-Aid. Looked like a full bar was available too. Bar seating, inside semi booths and outside tables under an awning. Sandwiches were delivered quickly. We also ordered pretzel nuggets. YUMMY! They were delivered before our sandwiches. So tasty. Unisex bathrooms. There are ONLY two bathrooms. For the size of the restaurant, I'd expect a few more bathrooms. Parking is unique. Park in the big lot and walk down the ramp. Everyone was friendly. Definitely go hungry. read more

The sandwiches have nice touches to make it unique & was good quality. The Thai Stick was a bit over sauced, but the toasted bread helped hold it together decently, though really sogged. They claim the have the best bread and they are not wrong. It's crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. Restaurant has a very cool vibe. It also has a bar which most sub shops do not. Sandwich was different and unique and very good. You order at the counter and they give you a placard for your table and deliver the food to you. Hands down the best sub I've ever had. We ordered for lunch and everyone agreed that they were amazing. I had the G-13 and as much as I want to try other menu items, I don't know how I will be able to not get this again and again! My co-workers tried the AK-47, Midwest Best, and the La Canna. I told my husband about them and now he wants to go try them, too. It's probably not the best place to take your children, but if you want to chill with a cold beer and a tasty sub then this is a good spot. I thought it was a relaxed atmosphere and the staff were friendly and were happily serving the customers. Most of the subs have a proprietary Parmesan Shake on top. You can choose between White, Wheat or Garlic Herb bread. You can choose from 4 inch, 8 inch or 12 inch long subs. They have over 25 subs to chose from along with Vegan and Vegetarian options. They offer Notchos, French Onion Soup, and a bowl of Meatballs topped 4 different ways. They have some local beers and mixed drinks. There is a large free parking lot that is shared with neighboring businesses. They have a cool covered outdoor patio. Cheba has hands down THE BEST sandwich in town! The bun is toasted and the ingredients are always fresh. They sprinkle a grated cheese on the sandwich that puts it over the top. I have started trying to make my own Cheba Sammies at home but they just don't compare. Our son turned us on to Cheba when we used to live in Chicago they have them there too. OMG sandwich Paradise, I like to get a sandwich to go to the airport as I don't like buying food at the airport if I don't have to. But this sandwich has got to be the first or second best sandwich I've ever eaten in all of my years yes all of them! So I got the turkey roast beef combo yowza the roast beef was excellent the turkey was excellent but the way the bread is prepared is fantastic by the way I got the garlic herb bread. Since I had to transport it I held the tomato and lettuce so it'd be less juicy-ish. The Chipotle mayo was a little runny but oh good God it was worth dipping the sandwich in after I had wrapped it it was still warm once I got to the airport I got the middle size sandwich and I think they called it an 8-in but it seemed much larger than that and oh my God the amount of meat that was on that sandwich especially for the price yowza. Wonderful surprise for me is the onions were red onions which just had the right bite for that roast beef and I added some banana peppers. Next time I'm in Nashville I'm definitely going to go there again and eat inside but if you're in Nashville need to grab something to go on your way out on the airport why eat airport food when you can grab a sandwich like this. This place is better than all the regular sandwich places, for sure. I guess all the sandwiches are named after strands of weed, but the good news is their sandwiches are buzz-free! Haha. I can't speak for the place itself because I ordered delivery via GrubHub. The food actually arrived about 15 minutes earlier than the delivery time I picked, so that was pretty nice. I got the Sensei Kush, which is their version of a BLT with avocado. I also added chicken. It was only the medium size bread but it was still rather filling. I'd get it again, though the bacon was just generic, not amazing meat, they put half of a fresh avocado on there, and that was SUPER! And I did dig that the garlic herb bread was tasty & i appreciate the level of "toastedness" being just a little and still edible. A decent lunch option. read more
