I used to live right by Taqueria Luna when I first moved in Nashville, and it quickly became my go-to spot. Even after moving out of the area, I still make the drive back whenever I'm nearby because it's just that good and consistent. The vibe is always welcoming, the 2 guys treats you like they've known you forever, and the food is consistently great. My go to is the lenqua and barbacoa, and carnitas this time, and it was just as delicious as I remembered flavorful, fresh, and prepared with care!. I love places that don't go downhill over time, and this one only seems to get better. This is definitely one of my favorite food trucks around! Do try sleep on the horchata great chaser! Today it was too sweet for me though. If you're in the area, don't sleep on this place. Driving around outside of Nashville we had a sudden craving for authentic tacos and were lucky enough to come across this food truck parked by a mechanic garage. Small and unassuming but manned by incredibly friendly staff. Their prices are great, especially considering inflation (2.50$ per taco?) and they had a decent amount of options. I got a chorizo and a lengua (tongue) taco and my friend got the chorizo and 2 al pastor. They were all delicious. The sauces were good as well but the tacos don't even need them. Do you like your grilled peppers spicy? The one I had tonight had that heat! I tried the Beef, and Barbacos tacos. Both were really good! I'm not sure which I prefer. Both the red and green salsas were REALLY GOOD. My tacos came with onions and cilantro. The plate had a lil sliced radish, grilled pepper, and a perfect delicious lime wedge. CASH ONLY!!! I would have gotten more than 3 tacos, but I only had 5 in cash on me, and am/was much to Ill (due to a gum/tooth infection etc.- not with covid) to try to go get more. My dog definitely approved! Randomly ended up here after a 10 hour road trip. Best decision ever. Got there right when they were close to closing, but the two guys working were more than kind in taking care of me! So delicious! Incredibly friendly people, very reasonable prices. They have homemade tamales on Saturdays that are absolutely AMAZING. Open 11AM to 9:30/10:00 PM every day except Thursdays. Amazing tacos at a great price! I'll admit I was a little bit nervous about trying out this place seeing it from the outside. But we pulled out car into the parking lot, and we were not alone. So many other people were already there and talking about how amazing the food was. We purchased steak, carnitas, and pastor tacos. All were great but the pastor was incredible! Now these are authentic street tacos so they are a little bit smaller. I'd recommend buying one or two more than you normally might at your favorite TexMex shop. Let's start with the upside of this place. Amazing, authentic food at great prices. I like the three taco combo. You can choose from a variety of meats and it comes with a side of rice and refried beans, as well as a roasted jalapeno, if you're brave. I also go for the Jarritos to wash it all down. The downside is there's only outside seating. It's only a downside in the dead heat of summer or on rainy days. But you can get your food to go or eat it in your car. It's also cash only, so hit the ATM before you go. The quality and taste of the food, as well as the friendly service earn a solid five stars. read more
