He initially booked the whole trip with air fair and the touring itinerary that seemed to be fair pricings so we agreed to it....once we agreed to it he said, the price is now increased to $700 more and it was only one day later. His excuse was that we booked too soon he needed much more time in advance. By this time we are looking at our trip to be roughly $10,000 for flying coach too, not even business class. Extremely livid at this point! Well, on the touring company "Charming Holidays" website and the brochure he handed me and my wife it clearly is written they leave every Mon, Thurs, Sat. Furthermore, this is not what he initially informed us. If this is the case then why did you quoted us the prices and worked out the whole flying schedule and touring package, and the price with us? Be warned: Vi, his business style is to pressure you into giving him your passports so he can save your spot immediately and then he will charge you a lot more once he knows you are interested. As for doing the Visa you can do it yourself online. Don't let him scare you by saying it is very hard to do it yourself and there are frauds online. Make sure you go to the government website and save yourself $200 per person in comparison to what he charges you (which is outrageous). He has no people skills what so ever...always trying to rush you on the phone and hang up when the conversation has not ended. He will try to convince you to travel to somewhere else instead of the country you wanted to go to. This place deserve a "zero" star not even 1 star review.

Unfortunately, the agency missed the scheduled FedEx pickup. After we begged the owner had an employee take my passport to a nearby FedEx location. What happened next was the most upsetting part of the experience. While we were in the process of paying the FedEx shipping charges, the owner told us that unless we paid an additional $80 for the employee to deliver the package to FedEx, he would not release it for shipping. Since my passport was urgently needed for international travel, I felt I had no real choice. This situation was stressful, unprofessional, and completely avoidable. We had originally planned to use this agency for future visa and travel services, but after this experience, we will never do business with them !

There were two employees working at the time with similar names, so to clarify, she was the one wearing a black jacket during our visit. From the start, the interaction felt very uncomfortable. She seemed irritated and dismissive, and every question we asked was met with noticeable attitude and impatience. It felt as though our presence and questions were an inconvenience. Applying for a passport can already be stressful, and customer service makes a big difference in that experience. We simply expected to be treated with basic courtesy and respect. When I called to confirm if she was still doing passports, Connie was very pleasant on the phone. She gave me a few pointers on what to wear. Since the background of the photo will be white, she suggested that I wear something colorful so my photo won't look washed out. She also mentioned that she accepted cash, checks, and money orders. Credit cards were also accepted, but there was a 3% surcharge. It was nice that she told me this information upfront, because I typically do no carry a lot of cash and I certainly do not bring my checkbook with me when I go out. I would have incurred a 3% surcharge on my credit card had she not disclosed this information upfront. Upon arrival, Connie warmly greeted me and gave me a form to complete for my passport renewal, then proceeded to take my photo. After that, she verified my form was completed and asked if I will be getting a passport book only, or passport with a passport card (government ID). She explained the benefits of getting this ID card, so I decided to get it for $45 extra. She also explained that in 8-11 weeks, I will receive 3 separate items in the mail: my old passport with holes punched it to make it invalid, my new passport book, and my passport ID card. I made out 2 checks: US Dept of State: $160 (passport book & passport ID card) Postal Etc: $65.06 (service fee, including passport photos) Connie mentioned that if I travel to countries that require a visa, she can help get that prepared and she can be a resource to confirm if a country needs a visa. Overall, I had a very pleasant experience. I came at a busy time and Connie was basically running the show herself. She had a high school kid help out, but he was practically useless. She had to give him orders on the simplest of tasks, but he still wasn't able to do it right, so she had to step in. If you come and don't get Connie's undivided attention, have patience. She's doing her best to tend to all customers and keep things moving. She's a direct and no-nonsense kind of lady, and this attitude may come off as rude, but I didn't find her rude. There was a customer who was pumping the liquid hand sanitizer and made a mess on her counter, so she told him "it's liquid, not gel, so take it easy on the pumping and don't leave a mess." Despite the busy crowd, the service was quick. Including driving time to and from the store, I was done within my 1 hour lunch break. This store has all kinds of other services, including mailbox rentals, prints, scans, copies, fax, money orders, mail services, mailing supplies, custom packaging, notary, keys, greeting cards, snacks, etc. There are plenty of parking spaces in the shopping center, with reserved spots specifically for this store.

As the deadline for renewing my passport online approached, I realized a little too late that I didn't qualify for online renewal because my passport was considered damaged. The page requiring my signature had completely torn out of the passport, although I still had the loose page. I spent several days worrying about whether this would actually be considered "damage" since my photo page, passport number, and all of my identifying information were still completely intact. Unfortunately, it did qualify as a damaged passport, meaning I was no longer eligible to renew online. Since my passport was also expired and I had upcoming travel, I had to wait until I was within 14 days of my departure before I could schedule an urgent travel appointment at a U.S. Passport Agency. During that waiting period, I spent quite a bit of time navigating the U.S. Department of State website so I would know exactly what to expect and have everything ready once I became eligible to make an appointment. The morning I became eligible, I logged in right away and was able to secure an appointment for seven days later. I was actually out of town, so I couldn't take one of the earlier appointments that were available, but I was pleasantly surprised that there were still multiple appointment times to choose from. Before my appointment, I completed the passport renewal application online. However, because my passport was damaged, I ended up completing a different application at the agency instead. If your passport is damaged, don't worry if you've already filled out the renewal form - it wasn't a problem. The appropriate form is also available online if you'd rather complete it ahead of time. I also chose to get my passport photos taken at UPS before my appointment. The Passport Agency does offer passport photo services if needed, but taking care of them beforehand can help speed things up a bit. One thing I wasn't expecting was that I needed to provide a written statement explaining how my passport became damaged. They simply handed me a blank sheet of paper at the appointment, and I wrote a brief explanation. If you already know your passport is damaged, you can absolutely prepare this statement in advance. Overall, the appointment itself was incredibly smooth. From the time I walked in until I left, the entire process took less than 30 minutes. The staff were professional, organized, and helpful throughout the process. The best part? I'll be picking up my new passport just two days after my appointment.
