This is a really helpful travel agency that offers to submit your Chinese visa application for you at a great price. I wasn't sure what to expect because the last travel agency I worked with charged a lot of money and wasn't as clear or as helpful. The agents here really work with you every step of the way. They also provide rush processing at a higher fee; however, it was still WAY cheaper than the standard fee with the first travel agency I tried to work with. I would definitely go here again if I need a new visa and/or if I would like to get a travel package to China! read more

Extremely happy with the process to get my 10 year visa. They double as a consular office so it was incredibly efficient, about 15 minutes, to be interviewed to complete the app and have visa photo taken at same location. I've gotten multiple China visas in the past and this was the most efficient and first time I could complete the app in our finest city. I can't say enough about Joe. He was attentive, prompt, and went above and beyond at all hours in all time zones. I know what I asked of him was very difficult and last minute and he came through with flying colors. Long story short, I had to book 2 different vacations in 2 different countries (China and Japan). With 2 different parties that meet together afterwards. Additionally, I needed 3 last minute Visas, and I needed it done in 3 weeks. Not only did Joe coordinate everything in San Diego, but when I was already in Japan, he was there to help me as well. He coordinated a private custom tour for my family of 3 in Shanghai in which my tour guide Jesse was amazing. If I she ever reads this from China I want to give her a special shout out from Brandon and my family. And then a tour for my mom which from Tokyo to Osaka. I only have experience with the passport photo process but I can tell you that they do a good job and quickly too! I needed passport photos for Taiwan for myself and my kid on two different occasions. Both times I was able to walk in and out in less than 10 minutes. They were familiar with the specifications, cut pictures to size and gave me more than I needed and sent me the digital image too in case I needed reprints. They take photos for other passports too! They also process China visa applications with a 2 week turnaround for less than other agencies, and plan vacation packages. We are currently discussing a vacation package with them for a post-graduation group China trip for some families. They offered similar package to other agency for less. I'd come back for future planning needs! read more

I'm so happy to find this place to help to apply for my newborn's Chinese visa, since we are planning to visit family In China at the end of the year. The whole process is so easy and fast, only takes 10 days! And the price is really reasonable - with everything, total is $260! We don't need to travel to LA, which means I saved the traffic time, waiting time, and also the potential chaos traveling with a baby. The staff is very friendly and professional, all you need is to deliver your documents over. Their location is inside the 99 Ranch market, it is so convenient, because I come to go grocery shopping a lot anyways. I was debating back and forth whether to get my Chinese visa on my own or go through a travel agency. In the end, I found it was better through a travel agency with the additional cost as the China consulate is located in Koreatown, LA and only opened during workdays until 2pm. I found this agency which had good reviews compared to others so I decided to try it with them. It's located inside the 99 Ranch Supermarket closer to the cashiers on Balboa Ave in Clairemont. There's a huge open parking lot with ample parking in the area. Prior to going in, I called twice to see what I had to bring in to get my Chinese Visa. Both times, the workers were very helpful and informative in assisting with my questions. The first time I called, a male worker answered my questions on certain main documents to bring in - current passport, old passport with previous Chinese visa, California ID. However, I don't have my California ID yet, so he informed me that I could bring my electricity bill with my name and address. The second time I called, a female worker answered my follow up questions of not having my old passport in hand. Luckily, they were okay with it as long as I could get a picture of my old passport and Chinese visa and text it to them. Wow, very convenient and stress-free! The process was quick and seamless! I went in and handed my passport and a copy of my electricity bill in which a worker made a copy of (even though the copy was for them LOL). She filled out a form and gave me the option to pay via cash, Venmo, or Zelle. The price was a flat $300 which includes the $140 visa fee with the consulate and a picture for the consulate. I paid through Zelle and got a written receipt for my payment. As I didn't have my old passport with my first Chinese visa, the worker told me to text the picture of my old Chinese visa to the same number as the one listed on Yelp/Google. She told me that my passport with the visa will be ready in two weeks. And just like that, done! VERY easy. I received a text the same day my passport came back which took about 2 weeks to come in. Went in and picked it up with a photo ID, and I was ready to go to China! The process was very easy overall. The workers answered all my questions with detailed response and make it as uncomplicated as possible which was amazing. I was hesitant to do this at first as I hear so many horror stories with Chinese travel agencies, but Phoenix Vacation really surprised me which their easy, quick process! Definitely will be back for more of their offers in the future. read more

On the first day of 2026, we had just finished our trip across three states: Northern California, Oregon, and Washington. The trip was arranged by Phoenix Vacation. The tour group's meeting point was in Los Angeles, but Phoenix Vacation arranged a hassle-free pick-up service. It rained heavily on Christmas Eve Day, but we departed very early in the morning, and the driver arrived on time and safely delivered us to our destination. My wife and I planned a trip to China & Japan and was surprised all of the hurdles I read we needed to overcome in order to obtain a Visa for travel to China. I knew there had to be an easier way. My brother had been to China before and said the local agencies helped him obtain his. After checking around, I came across Phoenix Vacation, located on Balboa Avenue near the Genessee cross-section. They proved to be the most helpful, easy to work with, and best priced. Their fees take care of everything. You don't need to go to the Chinese embassy in L.A. or do any other legwork. They take it to the embassy for you after taking your picture and leaving you passport with them. We got ours back with our Visas in less than 2 weeks' time. Joe and Joy and Angela were all very helpful to us and we can hardly wait to go on our vacation. I highly recommend them for you. They are located in a Ranch 99 grocery store with food court on Balboa Avenue in San Diego. No appointment required. read more

This place is definitely recommended!!! Just got my Chinese visa back today. Without a doubt, this travel agency stands out as the best I've ever encountered. The staff members were exceptionally professional and incredibly friendly and patiently guided me through the visa application steps. They efficiently gathered all the required documents in just 10 minutes. The entire process took less than two weeks, from document submission to visa approval. Considering the embassy fees, instead of trying to beat the traffic to travel to downtown LA (I was told that you must go there twice, once to drop off the document and once to pick up the visa, there is NO same-day service), their total charge of $300 is beyond reasonable. I'm planning a trip to China this summer, and I am confident that I will return to avail of their services again. read more

Extremely livid at this point! Well, on the touring company "Charming Holidays" website and the brochure he handed me and my wife it clearly is written they leave every Mon, Thurs, Sat. Furthermore, this is not what he initially informed us. If this is the case then why did you quoted us the prices and worked out the whole flying schedule and touring package, and the price with us? Be warned: Vi, his business style is to pressure you into giving him your passports so he can save your spot immediately and then he will charge you a lot more once he knows you are interested. As for doing the Visa you can do it yourself online. Don't let him scare you by saying it is very hard to do it yourself and there are frauds online. Make sure you go to the government website and save yourself $200 per person in comparison to what he charges you (which is outrageous). He has no people skills what so ever...always trying to rush you on the phone and hang up when the conversation has not ended. He will try to convince you to travel to somewhere else instead of the country you wanted to go to. This place deserve a "zero" star not even 1 star review.

What happened next was the most upsetting part of the experience. While we were in the process of paying the FedEx shipping charges, the owner told us that unless we paid an additional $80 for the employee to deliver the package to FedEx, he would not release it for shipping. Since my passport was urgently needed for international travel, I felt I had no real choice. This situation was stressful, unprofessional, and completely avoidable. We had originally planned to use this agency for future visa and travel services, but after this experience, we will never do business with them !

I had a great experience with Phoenix vocation for my China visa application. The price was fair, and the staff were very friendly. I didn't need to fill out any forms or prepare visa photo. The location is convenient, especially if you're shopping at Balboa Ranch 99, and there's plenty of parking. His excuse was that we booked too soon he needed much more time in advance. By this time we are looking at our trip to be roughly $10,000 for flying coach too, not even business class. Extremely livid at this point! Well, on the touring company "Charming Holidays" website and the brochure he handed me and my wife it clearly is written they leave every Mon, Thurs, Sat. Furthermore, this is not what he initially informed us. If this is the case then why did you quoted us the prices and worked out the whole flying schedule and touring package, and the price with us? Be warned: Vi, his business style is to pressure you into giving him your passports so he can save your spot immediately and then he will charge you a lot more once he knows you are interested. As for doing the Visa you can do it yourself online. Don't let him scare you by saying it is very hard to do it yourself and there are frauds online. Make sure you go to the government website and save yourself $200 per person in comparison to what he charges you (which is outrageous). He has no people skills what so ever...always trying to rush you on the phone and hang up when the conversation has not ended. He will try to convince you to travel to somewhere else instead of the country you wanted to go to. This place deserve a "zero" star not even 1 star review.

My passport expires in 5 months and me being an idiot didn't know about most countries 6 months minimum rule. So it's a Sunday and I'm freakin' out and I come across Passport Now and gave them a call. Went to voicemail. I received a text right away to which I replied asking someone to call me back asap. Shortly later I get a call back from Larry, who turned out to be a Godsend. I explained to him my situation and Larry was honest and said the quickest turnaround time they could do for me was a cpl days which wouldn't work for me since my flight was Monday night. So Larry advised me and gave some suggestions that I could do myself to try to get a new passport by the next day. Long story short, everything Larry suggested was spot on. Not gonna lie, it was still pretty stressful naturally but I was able to get a new passport by Monday afternoon and make my international flight later in the evening. I am going to recommend Passport Now to any friends that need their services, They are top notch and truly care about helping people out.
