Unfortunately like everything else in this world this place is not longer good. Went today with the family. Order the large queso, my husband added beef and guacamole. The queso its self wasn't even tasty. The beef tasted awful. The guacamole had zero flavor. Like zero. There was no salt or even cilantro. I love their mixed veggies. I ordered double and they were disgusting. I couldn't even eat them, they were under cooked and lacked any flavor. Three meals and queso for $60+ ... nothing was good except the service. read more

This is my first time coming here. The chips and salsa were fresh and warm. The service was EXCELLENT. Our waiter was so friendly and took really good care of us. The food was good. But save room for dessert!!! Try their apple pie skillet!!! It's a slice of apple pie coming at you sizzling on a skillet with three small scoops of vanilla ice cream and a brandy butter sauce that the waiter pours on the dish with flare.... The food has been consistently amazing. Me and my family have been going for 6 years now, never had a bad experience. Staff is always great, food is always great, and we love going almost every week! Arrived Saturday night around 7:15. Place is half full. Lots of options for seating. Salsa came with two flavors - both were awesome. Food arrived 15 minutes after ordering. Wife had brisket enchilada- so good. Brisket was cooked just right. I had the Enchilada de Cilantro. This was super yummy. People were wonderful. Watch your step! There's not a sign and no warning but there's a few places you could land straight up on your face... and that's pre-alcoholic beverages. Salsa is on point... well the warm one was! Cheese dip was delish, too. I think the hubby licked his bowl dry. Food came out fast and furious. Dropped a star for the whole floor issue and my chicken was dry. I don't think that is the norm... so not knocking the chicken so much as the floor. On another note... your employees are TOP notch! This trip was mostly like my first trip which you can review in detail here on Yelp. The difference was I ordered some fajita enchiladas and they were a disappointment. In the bottom of the plate was a lot of moisture like everything was sitting in water. Did not enjoy it but like last time everything else was great. The taco salad is more of a salad with taco. A regular salad in a tortilla bowl; I did not like that. The chalupa was flat like a tostada; it tasted good, but I did not like that. Ground beef was well seasoned. It won't be my go to for Mexican food in RC. read more

I don't want to harm the business, especially in these times. It was a 3. I have now visited all 4 Arboledas in or near Rockwall County, Texas. The Best Arboledas will be the Heath location #1. Arboledas on the historic downtown Main Street of Royse City, Texas is in an older remodeled building. You enter a tiny foyer, look for a waiter at front desk. The floorplan is narrow, a waiter will find an open table for you. I wanted extra space here, I asked for the front table with a big window looking out to Main Street. I was solo, kept my mask on. Arboledas offers decent Mexican food at decent price. The Daily Specials attract many diners with a meal under $10. There are dishes labeled "Top Shelf" for a bit more, but most are under $20. Today, I selected Pollo Chipotle plate. On Yelp! check-in I had a 20% coupon. Waitress Aurely said they accept it. So, use the Yelp! app here, and do the Check-in! Results: the pollo ( chicken breast ) was grilled too long, over-cooked, dry, and too burnt. ( it is wrapped in melted cheese, and still the burnt taste dominated ) The chipotle sauce also, burnt. The vegetables were soaked in burnt chipotle sauce, like teriyaki. The grilled onions, old. This came with rice only. I asked Aurely for a small bowl of charro beans since I did not get full. She agreed. I left a good tip...and, hasta la vista! Then I walked down to The Emporium for their great ice cream. So, this is 3rd time, at 3 different Arboledas, I have been disappointed by the kitchen staff on plates of food. I'm being fair to protect the business, and protect all the workers who depend upon their jobs. Heath, TX location wins 1st place on my Tour de Arboledas. Be like Heath! read more

I would have given 5 stars but the margaritas were awful. The staff was super friendly. Our waiter (Pedro?) was very attentive and got our very complicated order correctly the first time we told him. (We we're dining with picky eaters). I had the Alicia's Platter and it was great. My taco was super tasty and all the vegetables on top tasted fresh. My cheese enchilada had onions in it but it was still very good and cheesy. My son had steak quesadillas and they were very packed full of tasty thick steak fajita meat. You get a lot of food for the price, and prices are about the same as going to a fast food restaurant, but the meals here have better taste, of course, and with real ingredients. When I go out to eat I am wanting good food and relaxing atmosphere with good conversation. I hate tv's in a restaurant playing sports so loud I feel like I'm in a freaking sports bar! If you have to have tv's to get people to eat here that's doesn't say much about the food. People should come for the food not the tv. If I wanted to watch tv I could have stayed home.
