We visited during the Ice Festival in Plymouth which was probably not the best time to come as they were short-staffed. We arrived when it was not too crowded, but the restaurant very quickly filled up just after we arrived and unfortunately our posted server didn't notice us for quite a while so we had to flag someone to serve us and by that point the restaurant was getting pretty busy. Poor timing - oh well. We ordered the Prime Rib French Dip to split, as neither of us has a huge appetite but that was probably not a great decision. Usually, French dip sandwiches are huge, but this one was served on a hot dog bun, so not overly big. It was served with a healthy dose of horseradish cream sauce and was pretty tasty. I meant to substitute fries but in the chaos of it all forgot, so the sandwich came with chips which were unfortunately quite ordinary. My father ordered a beer flight and was quite pleased with his selections (6 x 3oz pours for $15). He most enjoyed the Sonorous Stout and he's a big fan of stouts and lagers in general. I think my father definitely enjoyed his experience and this was mostly for him, so that was good. I would definitely consider getting him a growler to go in the future since he really seemed to enjoy the beer very much. read more

Love this place, beer is great and servers are really friendly. It's a good hang and everytime I'm back in town, if we're looking to grab a beer we'll stop by. Had the nachos and they were some of the saddest "nachos" I've ever had. Lukewarm, couple dribbles of that liquid cheese, some random toppings but absolutely no love at all. The type of plate you look at and immediately regret ordering. I get food and all overhead costs are rising, but I feel like so many places lately have this basic GFS slop with absolutely no soul or love. Would not recommend the food at all. Not trying to be a jerk and hope this place continues to do well, but in hopes of providing legit feedback it almost feels insulting looking at a menu knowing everything is overpriced, reheated freezer food. Would way prefer an extremely limited menu if it means they can up quality. Small free library. Staff was great, great selection of really nice beers. They do have flights. Great location. Mom and I were craving a beer in this rare bit of sunshine so decided to try somewhere new. While downtown Plymouth was hopping, we got seated quickly. The door was up to let in fresh air and it almost felt like it was really spring. We tried a few beers, and mom got a dark n' stormy as well. We got the Baba Ganoush with veggies appetizer and oh my gosh it was delicious. My only complaint is the serving of baba ganoush was so much that we ran out of stuff to dip in it. 4 falafels, 4 carrot and celery sticks, and a pile of arugula. Extra dippers would've been great because we didn't get to eat all of the delicious baba ganoush. I get falafels are probably more expensive, so just toss some more carrots or celery on there. This was the worst dining experience I've ever had in downtown Plymouth. We have been here before and it has never been great but has never been so bad that I felt it necessary to leave a bad review. This time, however, was absolutely atrocious. My group ordered four drinks which miraculously were ALL incorrect. My entree salad came with a topping as asked to be removed for allergy reasons. Food took almost an hour to come out. An order of fries took an additional 30 minutes and did the bill trapping us in this hell hole for a total of 2 hours when we only came in for a light lunch of salads and apps. Think twice before spending money here, we will never be back again. Bigalora, Nico and Valley, or Gastropub next door will offer you a much better experience. Go there. read more

I love Plymouth and everything this beautiful city has to offer. I found a new gem of a location in the arbor Brewing Company. The location is directly off Ann Arbor Trail accross from Kellogg Park. My son and I went for a drink and we liked the place so much we stayed for dinner. They Have a great selection of beers on tap, I believe they had nine that day. Never fear though because the selection continue with bottle and can selections as well. We ordered the pub burger and fries and the Atlantic salmon with house salad and rice. Both tasted amazing and paired well with our drink choices recommended by the bar tender. The place was white glove clean and had a warm and friendly atmosphere. I have visited Arbor Brewing Company before in Ann Arbor but not at the Plymouth location, and a friend and I decided to meet up in Plymouth today for lunch. I looked on Yelp beforehand to see what restaurants had patios, and Arbor Brewing Company came up, so we decided to try it out. It's actually right next door to Bigalora and I'm pretty sure they share bathrooms and also a kitchen. The restaurant seems to take its COVID protocols seriously, which is good, but when I passed by the kitchen to go to the bathroom a few times I did see some kitchen employees wearing their masks almost off their faces. ABC uses QR codes but it's one of the strangest setups I've seen so far. You walk into the restaurant to get seated, they seat you with the QR code, and then you scan it and order everything from there. This is where it gets tricky: my friend and I had both scanned the QR code and her order was coming up on my tab, since the QR code essentially combines our order. She ended up using a different QR code that was also at our table, and later when she went to check out her order was no longer "open" or something; she ended up having to go to the bar to check out. You can leave your tab open so to speak, or you can check out immediately after ordering. I'm guessing this is in case people want to order more drinks or food. I ordered a water, the Cucumber Lime Gose, the chicken sandwich, and fries. I'm not a big beer drinker but the gose was pretty good, it has kind of a sweet and salty taste. The chicken sandwich was also very good, it came with garlic aioli and you can also upgrade to a pretzel bun at no additional cost, which I did. However, everything was a little pricey; the chicken sandwich was $12 and then an extra $2 for fries. I saw that you could add veggie of the day for $3 extra but since we basically had no waitservice, I wasn't sure what the veggie of the day was, which is why I opted for fries instead. On their menu on their website, you can do a side salad instead of fries, but I didn't see that as an option today. The gose was $4.50 for a 10 oz. glass, which was reasonable. Overall my favorite thing I ate was the chicken sandwich; the fries were fine, but nothing special. I would come here again because it's in a nice location in Plymouth and the patio is really nice, but I'm not a fan of their QR code setup; If you wanted a water refill or something like that I imagine you would have to order more through the QR code. There was also a free parking lot nearby, which was convenient, and Plymouth also has street parking. read more

My hubby and I wanted to try a new place and we were craving a cold beer, so Arbor Brewing Company was the winner. Once we arrived we were seated pretty quickly with a great view of the park and sidewalk to people watch. Our waitress, Cheyenne, was super sweet. She was able to explain all the different types of beers that I may be interested in. Typically I'm a cider drink, but the beers on tap looked interesting and yummy! After explaining to me what I may like based on being a cider drink, she offered me a few samples. Loves the pollination sensation! Sometimes I like beer, who knew? After ordering our drinks, we started off with the crispy cauliflower. That was super yummy! The sauce comes on the side, so you can make it as saucy as you would like. After appetizers, we enjoyed the chili and Reuben sammie. Both good choices! The chili reminds me of a dip. Comes with chips, which was a great surprise. We ordered a scoop of ice cream for dessert. We had decided to meet up on a recent Monday evening to avoid the crowds. By rights, a gray day with a high chance of violent storms, should have resulted in a near-empty brewpub - even with a game on, even in downtown Plymouth. Instead, it was packed from the patio (despite the impending inclement weather), through the opened garage doors, all the way back. The communal tables with picnic bench seating as well as high tops were filled with friends and family meeting up for a meal and drinks. The brewpub is large and cavernous. It takes up half the space left by Box Bar and still retains the neon sign left by its predecessor. A long bar sits towards the back with tables toward the front. A small counter by the hostess stand sold t-shirts. We started with a large basket of pretzel bites, liberally coated in coarse salt. The hot and crusty carb treat was tasty, especially with the beer cheese and stone mustard sauces. I confess I ate my way through more than my share of the basket; my friend definitely showed more restraint. She had the Ancient Grains salad that looked very colorful and nutritious while I inhaled the pub burger and fries. The menu indicated that the beef was a proprietary blend, which made a big difference. The medium-rare burger was tender, had a nicely grilled crust, and was topped with shredded lettuce and garlic mayo. To it, I added cheddar and bacon. I found the burger to be under-seasoned but I now, as I write this review, wonder whether the pretzel bites impacted my taste buds. The fries were good, as well. Quick service and then no service. Our server never came back. We had been sitting for over an hr without and check in. Received out starters with utensils, no napkins, and no check ins. Will not be back. We went to order food with a different server only to be told the kitchen is closed. How kind of "our" server to check in with us prior to the kitchen closing to see if we wanted a meal instead of just appetizers. So I'm having a hard time giving this place a rating!I love all of their beers so very much! I can't get enough of the strawberry blonde. I've been to the AA location and I'm comparing their food and atmosphere there. Maybe it's just because they've recently opened but I'm just not a fan of their food. The pretzel bites app we got was SO well done I had one and I was not into having a second. The chicken strips app I got as a meal was small, I paid $2 extra for a TINY side of coleslaw. My boyfriends Ruben was a wrap and barley had any meat on one whole side of it! While the salad my mom got was HUGE. Maybe they'll start to figure things out more! First off I have to say I really enjoy Arbor Brewing Company's beer for a while now. So I was so happy when they opened a location in Plymouth right downtown by Kellogg Park! Arbor occupied a space in the former Box Bar (which we loved) and share a kitchen and restrooms with the other tenant Bigalora Pizza. Their beer is always top notch with many different selections for one to choose depending upon their tastes. Anecdotal Truth is one of my faves. Surprisingly their food is a very nice complement to their different beers. The salads are huge, fresh, and quite yummy. Their Nachos are definitely sharing size with a few people. My favorite is the Cubano. They use the same dough for the wraps as Bigalora does for their pizza crusts. Definitely a top notch wrap. And all of this coupled with front of the establishment completely open to the outside in good weather. This is absolutely wonderful as there seems to be always something going on in Kellogg Park. read more

Checked out the new Arbor Brewing in Downtown Plymouth located in the former Box Bar. It has outdoor patio seating and the front of the restaurant is open and breezy with a garage door that's open on warmer days. It has a scenic view overlooking the fountain of Kellogg Park, and is connected to Bigalora Pizza next door. What a lovely addition to downtown Plymouth?! I stopped in on a Thursday evening and they weren't too busy but business was steady. We didn't have food and were only tasting beers so we sat at the bar. The restaurant/brewery is long and rectangular where the front of the restaurant has long community style picnic tables. There's also seating at the long bar in the middle. There are high tops with electrical outlets next to the bar, and past the bar there is a long booth along one wall and additional tables against the other wall near the back, in front of the metal brewing equipment. Arbor Brewing is connected to Bigalora if you go down a hallway near the back of each restaurant and the share a kitchen and also share restrooms. The atmosphere is very nice with hanging lights in the front seating area and I like how they left a pink neon Box Bar sign on the ceiling paying homage to the previous bar. Arbor Brewing has great beer. The Strawberry Blonde is my favorite! When I came, they had 13 beers on tap and a cider. A flight was really inexpensive at $10 for six 3 oz pours and goes up $1 for each tier 4 beer but the only tier 4 on the menu was A Girl Named Egypt. I had the Locally Elevated, a coffee porter, Celestia Kolsch, Oktoberfest, Strawberry Blonde, Golden Wandle summer ale, and Juggling Lions, a hefeweizen. The flight board is a round metal contraption which was extremely wobbly so you have to be careful not to spill your beers when tasting. I really liked the Juggling Lions with subtle banana flavor. The Locally Elevated was good too with strong coffee flavor but the Strawberry Blonde remains my fave so I purchased a growler of it. Most growler fills are $15 (but depends on the tier with most beers being in tier 2) and the growler itself was $5, so $20 for the growler with beer. Arbor Brewing doesn't have exotic flavors like s'mores or chocolate peanut butter beers and offers more basic beers focused on the beer itself and the different styles and hops used. Service was good, friendly and attentive. We ended up going to Bigalora for pizza next door after tasting beers but I would love to come back for food sometime and explore Arbor's menu. Arbor Brewing has a full menu with sandwiches, salads, soups, flatbreads, nachos, wings, and desserts. They also have merch for sale in the front with t-shirts, glassware, keychains, stickers, dog tag necklaces, and more. They also have their own parking lot to the left of Bigalora. Arbor would make a great addition to any Plymouth pub crawl with Liberty Street Brewing and Hermann's nearby. Love this new addition to Plymouth and I can't wait to return! read more

A much needed refresh on the spot previously known as the box bar, next door to the prime corner lot that was suppose to be a restaurant... then a food court... and now is just a boring real estate office... but enough about that. The people at ABC did a stand-up job renovating the space. Beautiful bar, great layout with a lot of seating, and a great patio setup for the summer time. Finally some alternatives/ go-to spots to visit and a great way to get foot traffic on that side of the street. Oh and kid friendly! Beer is the thing to get here. They have a lot on draft. I was digging the pollination sensation- lavender and honey . Don't know what you'll like? 10 bucks gets you a six taster set of 3 ounce beers. Don't like beer? They have cocktails and wine. I have been to the ones they own in Ypsi and Ann Arbor and I like that they have some of the same beers at all three but also different ones. Last night I did the cider and I really enjoyed it. The prices are very reasonable and a flight of six is only 10 bucks. They have a huge list of beers on tap and the food is great as well!! I can't wait to go back!! read more

They were fairly good and then the rest of my basket of food was just a mountain of fries. Cold soggy fries to be exact.
