Overall, this was okay. I would still go back and try something else from the menu. We ordered the pretzel and dip trio to start. The pretzel was delicious and plenty big enough for sharing. The dip trio personally isn't my thing. I ordered the shrimp tacos for the entree and the menu didn't mention that the sauce had a bit of a spicy kick to it, which would have made me not pick it. Saturday noon-ish in late September was a great time to check them out for the first time (mine, Ken's been a couple times). We had our pick of seats inside (tables and a couple stools at the bar) or outside (about 6 tables). Our bartender was great...I wish I remembered her name. She offered up good recommendations for food and drink. Speaking of food and drink, they have a regular menu and then a specials menu. Recently I visited GWB Brewing Co for the first time and had a positive experience. I was part of a dinner group (~8) and up until we were about to leave, were the only ones in the restaurant. That said, our server was very friendly and extremely attentive, but food wait time seemed lengthy and some in our party waited much longer for their food to arrive. The GWB menu has many GF & vegan options, which is fantastic for those in need. I had the Yellowstone Burger w/ a side of Loaded Roasted Potatoes. The burger was very good, but the potatoes were excellent! While I didn't have a beer, I did try their house draft ROOT beer, and it was fantastic! I came in with my nephew for an after work pint. Having not been here before I was expecting it to be a bigger joint on the inside. It's really quaint, warm and inviting, and if memory serves me there was a fireplace which I love from an ambiance perspective. There was nice patio area too. The staff was friendly, the beer was good and the food was also really good, I wish that growler fills weren't so pricey though. My wife and I decided to try Great White for dinner this past Friday night. We were seated almost immediately. However, after initial drinks our server was inattentive the rest of the evening, even though the clientele had thinned substantially while we were there. Re. the fare, my vegan wife was pleased that there were so many options for her. We started with the mushroom pho pot stickers which were excellent. Our entrees were good, too, as were our beers. First time visiting yesterday and I look forward the next time I am in the area. Excellent service and friendly staff. I stopped in for lunch and ordered a Mac n cheese burger with carnitas. The burger was great and well seasoned. Since this is a brewery I should have started with the beer, but better late than never. Good selection of beers with some specialties. I ordered their pickle beer and it makes me wonder why more people don't have this on a menu. I also had a blueberry bacon maple porter which was excellent. I really like the look of the brewery and there was plenty of seating. There are a few large public parking lots nearby which is always a plus. read more

We had a nice first experience today, a Sunday afternoon. They were just rearranging tables from brunch inside, and the staff was friendly, worked closely as a team. The hostess helped us pick a table, and the bartender was our server, and she was great. I really can't stress enough how refreshing it was to see such a friendly staff that seemed to work well together. We had a quick visit, drinks and an app. The beer I picked wasn't great (west coast ipa), so our server helped me pick a different one (Mexican beer w/ lime). We ordered the giant pretzel with beer cheese. Note - you have the option for half beer cheese and half special mustard. And she was clear that it was 2oz of both or 4oz of one. That was really helpful and transparent. Pretzel came out quickly, and it was piping hot & fresh. There was a garlic herb butter on it, which was unique. I would skip that on a future visit. Since we had the beer cheese, we didn't need the garlic butter. Note - that's not a negative or a ding, just a preference that others might find helpful. If it was a little warmer out, I would have sat outside. You get a great view of Main Street, in a really relaxing atmosphere. read more

We brought our dog and sat on the patio, and our waitress brought him a bowl of water. They have a dog menu and we got a cup of chopped bacon for him but they have spent grain treats and "doggy brew" which i think is chicken broth. I got a flight of beer and liked them, though it probably wouldn't get the pickle beer again...but I had to try it. We got a burger and a panini and both were great. They come with a side of chips which is usually a bummer, but the side of chips come with a side of caramelized onion dip which turns them from bummer to delectable treat. We'll be back! read more

Good beer but extremely disorganized. We came for trivia, we arrived half an hour before it started and it was already packed. It's a lot smaller inside than I thought so I would come SUPER early if you plan to do trivia. This is one of those entitled parent places where they bring their kids to sit and play on their tablets instead of making room for paying adults. But I digress. The gentleman who greeted us initially told us we would be on a waitlist but I found out later that we actually were never put on it. We were instructed that we could wait at the little side table by the bar so we did that but I had to flag someone down to get drinks after waiting for at least 10 minutes. When we finally got the beer, it was actually really good. I had the sour and my bf had some sort of stout. Fortunately, the staff were able to nail us a table when a party got up and I was very thankful for that. The server we had was so nice, I sadly can't remember her name. She was very attentive and I felt terrible for being so annoyed earlier but it had nothing to do with her- she looked stressed. I got the loaded tots and I actually really liked them, and my bf got the chicken tacos but he wasn't impressed . if I could leave a zero, i would. came here with a group of friends for dinner and drinks. Everyone got their meal, I did not. Had to track down someone to let them know. 30 minutes later, my food arrived. There was a comedy show that night, we did not know about. while I was eating and my friends finished their drinks, the owner and his big goon came to our table and said we had to leave. It was 8 o'clock and the show was going to start. Instead of coming to the table and apologizing for the food situation, we were told to leave and if we didn't, he was going to call the police. Terrible customer service! Had we been told from the beginning there was a time limit, that would've helped. So would getting all the food to the table at the same time. read more

Visited on their first Saturday being open after their opening on Friday, 3 March 2023. As expected with a new establishment to downtown Northville, there was a lot of excitement witnessed by the number of people coming to visit. Line formed before they opened at 3pm. We arrived at 5pm and the gentlemen at the door was very kind taking names. The estimated wait was already two+ hours at this point. People kept coming and quickly the estimate jumped to 3 hours. We waited a bit under two hours and was glad we did. First to be noted is the establishment is on the smaller side for seating. You can do takeaway drinks and enjoy in the downtown are while you wait. Northville has some shelters with heat and fire pits going if it's a bit chilly or increment weather. Once inside, the staff couldn't have been more attentive, kind and nice. A very good look on their opening weekend. Food wise we were quite pleasantly surprised how good the fare was for a brewery and one that just opened. Seems like all the kinks were worked out and planned ahead of time. We started off with the pretzel. It was huge and can be shared with 3-4 people in my opinion. had the Buffalo burger and highly recommend it as a great pub burger. One of the better ones I've had in the Metro area. The balsamic onion jelly balanced very well with the Brie and Kale. The tots were cooked just right! Not so crispy as to be inedible as so many places serve them. My wife had the chicken sliders and raved about them being really good and tasty. Now for the beer assessment. Had a pint of the Hazy VilleAin NEIPA and The People's Choice IPA. Both were very good brews and what you would expect of their respective types. These were the only two I sampled so cannot make a recommendation for the other brews offered. Overall Great White Buffalo Brewing is a place we will definitely make trips to in the future. So glad to have it downtown as we ride bikes to Northville often in good weather. read more

We went for a comedy show, ( headliner was an absolute riot! ). Food, beer and staff were very good. We'll be back!

A place that's truly friendly to people and dogs! Our service this weekend was spectacular and the food was delicious. We loved our seat on the patio with our dog, who was treated to a bowl of water by the staff and enjoyed the bacon bowl and homemade treats we bought for her. A great experience! read more

Our day started off at Great White Buffalo Brewing. Their hours have recently changed and they are now open for lunch! We both needed tagabrews from this location, and we have both been wanting to check it out. It was a gorgeous day and when we arrived it was quite quiet. This was nice as we got to sit at the bar and talk to the owner. He and his brother opened this spot up. They were very young, so I was very impressed! There was a waitress there who was quite sweet. The owner was a real people person! We really enjoyed meeting him! The inside is rather small but that gave it a quaint feel. There was plenty of outdoor seating as well! I was starving so I looked over the menu. I order chicken street tacos. OMG!!! They were amazing! Writing this is making my mouth water! I want them again! He got a flight and I chose my usual Amber. I got to taste everything he ordered though. The Birthday cake Lager was a delightful surprise! I expected it to be too sweet. It was perfect. I would have absolutely gotten a pint of that. The tea flavored beer was also surprising, as I hate tea. But I rather enjoyed this one! I guess its safe to say that we will be back! I loved this whole downtown area! read more

Go for the drinks, not the food. Their beers are quite good. We had three and enjoyed them all. Same with the pear cider, the dragon fruit mango seltzer, and the house made root beer. All were worth a stop. The problem is that we went for dinner, and the food disappointed. The two flat breads were good enough, the chicken bacon ranch and one with goat cheese (and arugula?). One was gluten free, and a GF flat bread is rare. It was good. My sliders though...me and a buddy both got Nashville Chixen sliders. Honestly, it came out looking like a high school cafeteria meal. These were plant based, we knew that, and I was actually impressed by the taste of the "meat" itself. But not by anything else. The chicken wasn't well browned, and the slider had just a light drizzle of sauce. I want a nice golden brown on that patty, and I want lots of sauce. Nope. We asked for extra sauce, and the slider drenched in the sauce was alright. But as presented, not good. The tater tots each had a couple spots of deep brown, and in some spots no brown at all. They were splotchy, and there was a dozen of them. So for $14 I got two crappy White Castle sized sliders and a dozen tater tots? For dinner? I had to eat more when I got home. Not ok. If I happened to be walking around downtown Northville and wanted to stop for a beer, I would absolutely swing by this place. But I won't go there again as a destination when there are lots of places around with beer that good and much better food. read more

The food is pretty decent. The problem is the food in comparison to other places in Northville isn't fantastic and is a bit over priced. The burger is decent. The mac and cheese is actually spot on tasty. But the portion on the mac and cheese is quite small. But it wasn't beer cheese Mac and cheese which for a brewery is. I don't know. Weird? Good bites and brews. Location was central for our friend group and we went in blind, but we were very happy with our choice. The pickle beer is weird but very fun and I feel like you have to try one. Cider was not too sweet and tasted more similar to a UK cider than any other brewery I've tried in Michigan. The street corn dip was also a must try. I wish I would have tried the pizza pretzel so I'll have to visit again soon. Our server was very accommodating of our group- we had 8 people coming at staggering arrival times... which I know can be a pain on the business side of things.
