This place has a good atmosphere, and good food. The beers are good too but every time we have a couple beers here we are ill the next day. This has happened to multiple people I know, and we have finally connected the dots. I reached out to them privately via messenger to let them know of our disappointment and they replied with a very sarcastic response. Supernatural has become one of my favorite breweries to visit. The staff are nice, the customers are nice... it's just all-around nice. They have food, but I've only had a burger there once and honestly I can't remember much about it. But obviously the big draw here is their beer. They always have a good selection and something I enjoy. I think any beer lover can find something they will like. One of the only things I can say is a little negative is the restroom. Nowhere to put your bag when you are the sink (and no paper towel to put down to keep said bag out of the sink water that splashes up), and you're right in front of a stall when drying your hands. Oh and the soap is only one the one side of the counter. It's all just very awkward. If they could get things a little more inline in there, I'd give them 6 out of 5 stars. read more

I have been to Supernatural a few times now and each time I really enjoyed the experience. I stopped in earlier today for lunch and had the umami burger with fries. This place was interesting. I had to be in the Canton area today so we stopped by for lunch. There's no "traditional" waitservice: you order at the bar and then they do bring you your food when it's ready. You also bring your own beer to your table. You can choose to keep your tab open or settle right there and then. My boyfriend and I split the Cubano sandwich, which was very good, and the KPOP BBQ pork sandwich. The BBQ pork sandwich had great meat, but kimchi and some other things in it that I don't really like. For beers, he had an IPA, and I tried two 5-oz. beers: the Fat Elvis and the Wildwood Snozzberry. The Fat Elvis actually did smell like peanut butter, and tasted faintly like peanut butter and bananas. The Wildwood Snozzberry was a sour and definitely tasted like it, but was good. I'd come back here another time, the food menu looked great overall - they also have birria tacos and some other interesting dishes. They brew their beer on-site and were brewing beer when we visited, actually - there was a heavy grain smell in the air (not my favorite smell). This place is weird. I had only been once several years ago and they had trivia so my bf and I decided to check it out. The location itself is... an odd choice but they have their own parking lot so I can't hate it. The inside of the building is what confuses me. It's trying to be a lot of different things and it's really unkept: a lot of cobwebs etc (which I guess goes with the vibe but... no). The furniture is weird, tables are weird. I don't know how to explain it.. maybe because it's in what obviously used to be a restaurant and isn't very "open". Maybe that would make it better. It smells like a basement. Oh, if you plan to look at their menu on their website, good luck. They don't just have one you can view unless you want to order take out and there aren't very good descriptions of the items. Anyway- food is good but expensive, 8 bucks for fries? Beer is actually really good and the staff are nice. I do wish they had actual table service though. The beer was amazing and I absolutely recommend it!! But my goodness the strawberry blonde bartender was one of the worst people I've ever encountered. I have worked in management my whole life and I have no idea how this woman could ever help this business. Blatantly being rude to customers the whole hour we were there. We had an amazing guy help us out at first then she very rudely told him to go somewhere else and she decided to take our orders. The beers were pretty good, I enjoyed 5/6 that I got and the cider was good although it is not made by them so you cannot purchase them to go or get them included in your flight. The food was not the best, the Quesatacos were so tiny, you can find larger frozen tacos at Costco. And for being more expensive than most of the burgers I expected a little more. What fun place! I have always had an interesting in "The Supernatural" so even the name of this place sparked my interest. The decorations are unique and vibe is really chill. They have a large parking lot so it's easy to park and walk up. It's large inside with different seating areas, which I always like more than one open seating area. The inside is very clean and the staff is very nice. My friend and I ended up eating and drinking outside at a picnic table because it was a nice day. Sometimes I don't like eating "bar food" but the quality here was outstanding. I wouldn't even classify it as bar food! We tried quite a few of the beers and they were all really good. I stopped in with a friend as we wanted to try the place out. I'll go back and try more beers and different food. I ordered a few 5oz samples and normal size beer. All of them were good and the prices were reasonable. I wanted to see more wheat beer and less IPAs, but they had a few sours amber, and a whiskey-based beer. I wasn't too hungry so I just grabbed an appetizer (beer cheese fries). Well, I realized afterwards it was sized for 3 or 4 people to share. It was decent and had lots of cheese (everyone's favorite part). My buddy got the nachos and they were decent as well. Ordering everything at the bar was a bit odd at first, but after going up a second time it was practical. The place was clean and there were many patrons during our visit. The section of the menu for beer has each one in business card holders. We thought it was a good idea and easy to swap out as the offerings change. We sat in the main area alongside the bar, so I didn't get to experience the other rooms or get a good feel for the supernatural theme. I was told it used to be a psychic reading place beforehand and assumed that's where the name came from. I'll definitely stop back in again to try a burger and some wheat beer. read more

Made a quick stop to check the place out while heading home from a family event. Tried a flight of six samples (see photo) and were impressed. Favorite was the Brutus Hopcake (a dry, champagne-colored IPA (a style I'm seeing more of and usually like), the Sassquash pumpkin ale (with actual pumpkin flavor, not just spice) and the Supernatural 10 dark Belgian. Didn't need to eat then, but decided on the spot to come back Friday for dinner. Food was decent, though less impressive than the beer. My wife got the fish and chips, and it was cooked well, but the fish was kind of bland and got lost under the very spicy tartar sauce. My fried chicken sandwich was a knob of chicken breast coated in the same kind of batter used for the fish, which didn't really work. The chicken is a tougher meat (even at its best...this chicken was tougher than most birds on a bun) and the batter flaked off in large pieces with each bite. It was mostly gone by the time I'd eaten half. The sandwich overall didn't hold together well, which kind of defeats the point of a sandwich. The fries were excellent, however. After dinner we got a glass of the Wicked Clown double NE IPA, which put SB&S back in our good graces. Not as fruity as most NE IPAs, very substantial body and a deep maltiness giving it whiskey-ish notes. We did try a sample of the Juggalo, which is the Wicked Clown with cream and orange soda flavors. It struck us as very liqueur-like. Too sweet for us in any but a very small glass, but if you like sweeter beers this would be an interesting choice. Some solid and creative brewing happening here. Hopefully the food will catch up. read more

A small brewpub with a number of serious issues. Located off of busy Plymouth Road, private and large lot, next door to a sketchy motel. It seems like they ran out of money towards the end of making the brewery. The sign is a printed tarp, the outside lighting is via extension cord and landscape lighting from a warehouse store discount bin. Inside they were trying to do a Victorian fortune teller theme, but obviously ran out of money. The staff only likes regulars, I sat for quite a while even waiting for a beer list while they chatted. Then the beer flights took even longer. I never got the glass of water I asked for, but they had a lot of time to talk to the few regulars there. The beer isn't a reason to come here. They were marginal anyway, then everything is served cellar temp. Nothing was awful, but most were not even good, much less great. The best was a chocolate peanut butter infused beer, which I think was about 75% as good as Sweet Baby Jesus. Not really worth a trip. read more

Such a cool place close to home to grab a drink! Tried the pumpkin ale, and it was super, super good, not too sweet, sour or spiced. I know the said it was the last keg but I hope they bring it back for next year! Sat at the bar while the live music for the evening finished up. Update: the menu has changed a bit, but still lacking some good staple options (pizza, ribs, maybe a pasta dish); it really needs a complete overhaul! Fortunately, the beer is fresh and despite the overage of styles I don't care for (IPA'S, Sours & Ciders) I can usually find something worthwhile. They've migrated to what they call "pub-style" ordering which has completely done away with a dedicated wait staff. You're supposed to order at the bar, and the bartender then brings your food to the table. (I'm not a fan). If nothing else, it continues to be a work in progress; I'll be back! read more

Decor is fun, they have a lot of spooky stuff. The loaded fries were some of the best I've had. Beer cheese on it is so good. They are lacking a bit in their beer selection, I wish they had more to chose from. Only had 11 selections and I had trouble finding one i really liked. Over all decent spot. The beers are excellent. They have games. The bathrooms are clean. The prices are a bit higher then expected. About $1 per drink extra. They have a membership program and buy a buddy a beer wall, although when I did that my beer never made it up there. Service is hit or miss. It's always a friendly place, but can take several minutes to get drinks if it's busy. Also they charge for stickers. They are about a quarter size of a napkin and cost $1. That's crazy! read more

Was excited to see a new brewery open on the west side and I finally ventured out to check it out. I like Supernatural's theme and how it's decorated with crystal balls, melted clocks, gypsy mural, and other mystical touches. They could add a few more touches but I like what they have so far, very cool theming. They have lots of fun events like beer yoga on Saturdays and Game Nights on Tuesdays (they have a dart boards and several board games available). They show movies on Thursday nights. They showed several Halloween movies through October and have showed Pulp Fiction and other film faves. We came on a Wednesday during trivia. Our team won first place of a prize of $50 in cash. Second place won a gift certificate prize. They also have done other events that sound really fun like a Harry Potter beer dinner. It's a pretty large space with seating at the bar when you first enter and a large room to the side. Service was attentive and friendly and they accommodated our large group of ten well, checking on everyone throughout our visit. The food menu rotates every 2-3 weeks and isn't constant. I had the chili and it was ok but I was a little underwhelmed. It could definitely have been spicier/more flavorful. My friend ordered a salad and it looked very good. They also offer mac and cheese, burgers, fish n chips, wings, and poutine. They have a full bar with whiskey, spirits and cocktails and of course the main attraction, the beer. They had about 13 brews on draft when I went. They offer flights which come with four and 4 oz (most $1.75-$2.75), 16 oz ($5-$6) and 20 oz pours ($6-$7). I tried quite a few. The Unicorn Blood Hibiscus, and Bruno the Magnificent were among my faves. I tried two pumpkin beers, a traditional pumpkin, The Sassquash, and the Pumpkin Spice Latte. I much preferred the Sassquash and was probably my favorite brew I tried. The Pumpkin Spice Latte had a burnt coffee taste and could have used much more pumpkin flavor. The Sheepshagger, a scotch ale had a little bit of a strange after taste. I did enjoy the Supernatural 10, a dark Belgian ale. Most beers were decent/average, however nothing really stood out as super memorable or knocked my socks off. I feel the same way about Urbanrest and Axle too. Solid beers but nothing super memorable. Overall, I like the theming, fun atmosphere, played great music all the time we were there. Cool events and themed nights. Would love to check out the beer yoga, game night or movie viewings. Great potential for a new brewery. Would definitely come back to check out some more brews and further explore the food menu. read more

Stopped here for the first time. We order three meals (fish and chips, jerk chicken sandwich, and pulled chicken sandwich) and two appetizers (pretzel and loaded fries). We sat for 30 minutes before the pretzels arrived which were ok. Another 30 minutes, all of our food and the loaded fries appetizers all arrived. Pulled chicken was flavorless, Fish and chips were dark and the fish was literally hard, looked like it was deep fried 3x or 2x hard., Jerk chicken was inedible it was so over-seasoned. Staff, could see 2 in the kitchen who simply struggled to keep up. One waitress who reasonably kept things moving from the kitchen. No one could be caught or ever asked about our food. Something was really wrong, experience from the kitchen was awful, possibly a disgruntled chef situation. Super bad experience. A $75 loss, a huge time suck, and a unanimous thumbs down by my entire family. Wont be coming back and won't encourage anyone to dine here. read more

Due to COVID, my friends and I dined in one of the tents they have outside. The tent was adorable and decorated w lights and had heaters. It was still fairly chilly but compared to the other outdoor tents I've dined in, this was definitely the warmest. I ordered the pretzels, fish and chips, and a small beer flight. The pretzels weren't great and the "beer cheese" had the consistently of old Velveeta; it was nasty. However, the fish and chips were fantastic. The beer flight was great; I highly recommend the Ragnarok beer. The service was very lacking. We ordered at the counter so we didn't necessarily have a server per se, but we had to go from the tent to the counter multiple times to ask for water, napkins, and sides of sauce that were repetitively forgotten. read more

Not quite sure where to begin - first with the most important thing, the beers. We did two flights to cover all the beers on tap - nothing stood out. If you're really curious about the breakdown of beers check out Untapped like the rest of the beer nerds such as myself. It was all mediocre at best and basically nothing warranted a growler purchase - which was insanely priced especially since all they had were the stainless steel growlers in stock. Now for the things that don't really matter. I don't go to breweries to deal with children, but since there is a kitchen there were tiny humans about - not my thing. Next the interior was just a mismatch of random things attempting to be like you walked into an psychic - it just came off as super hokey. Finally, given that the space had nothing to absorb sound it became loud quickly which again wasn't my thing. As far as food - we just had appetizers where weren't bad. Just nothing super special. Then again my rating isn't about the food since I didn't really eat there it didn't seem fair to judge on that. The Beau and I have been eyeing this place for a bit now. I always like to give restaurants a few months to work out their kinks before trying it out. After reading the reviews, because you know I have to do my research first. I got two things: decent food and okay beers. I came in with low expectations, but my guy had very high expectations since he is a beer lover. Parking situation on a Friday night is a bit difficult. There are lots all the way in the back, but I think the lot belongs to the apartment buildings? Not too sure. Either way, we were hungry so I just parked in that lot. Got there around 7. The hostess said it would be 30 minutes for a table. We got drinks at the bar while we waited which is nice that we had that option. Quick service at the bar. They ran out of our top 3 picks for a flight. That is okay though because we just picked 6 other beers on the list mostly IPAs and 1 Belgian-style beers. The beau got the honey ale, and liked it. I thought it was ok. I prefer the Belgian one that they had. It kind of reminded me of a lighter final absolution. Good flavor. As for the IPA, I liked the one labelled NE IPA, but no idea which one that was one the menu. Least favorite was the session IPA. Not your traditional IPA so probs why I wasn't a fan. Probably good for someone who prefers a lighter IPA. By the time we finished 1/3 of our drinks, the hostess had a booth ready for us. The wait was less than 15 minutes. I don't even think it was that long. I'm a petite girl, but damn the booths for two are small. I get it, and I give them kudos for maximizing the space, but just a fair warning for people who are like me and like to stretch and have a bigger table top (for all the food that we order). As for the food, we ordered soft pretzels with beer cheese, and steak tips for apps. For main, I got the brisket plate, and he got the chili pasta. We got our mains first. Weird. Definitely there was a mix up in the kitchen and pass. I was fine with getting the mains first because I was really hungry. The brisket was okay. Kinda dry, but the jus and sauce helped. I am very picky when it comes to bbq, especially since I recently had Arkin's brisket. I am not comparing it to bbq in Texas, although we do have some bbq joints in MI that can give those places a run for their money. I did appreciate the selection of the cut, good ratio of lean meat to fat. Chips were good! Wish I had ketchup though, but bbq sauce did the trick. My beau's chili pasta dish was bland af. Needed more salt. Disappointing since the chili itself has good beef flavor, just needed more salt. And um where did the cheese go?!? After we ate a good portion of our mains, someone came out (seemed like the manager, maybe owner) to apologize about the apps. They did make the pretzels and gave it to us on the house. They also only charged us for the apps, not the entrees which was a very nice gesture. I appreciate it that because it shows they are trying to make their customers happy, and if they make a mistake they own up to it and comp us. That's good business. Hence why I bumped up a star. There are things they definitely need to workout, but what new business doesn't. This place has some interesting and good craft beers. Staff and ownership are respectful. Food wise: cooks just need to taste and add a bit more salt, but pretzels were on point, and I have a feeling the steak tips would have been good too. Lived in Germany for two years, specifically Koeln, where Koelsch is brewed/from. Casper the Friendly Kolsch taste just like Koelsch from some of my favorite Brew Houses in Koeln. read more
