He refused to be cancelled when I found someone to dig out the palm root ball when he was only go to shave it down. I sent him email, messages, texts cancelling our appt and when he showed up the fence was locked and he jumped over it and removed the trees anyway. I had found someone to dig out the root ball. When the guy showed up to dig out the root ball, the trees were gone. He charged $1200 and when the trees kept growing back, he offered to reshave them, which didn't work in the first place. He basically stole my trees and I never got my money back. The trees kept regrowing for years. Terrible dishonest service. read more

I've had the best luck dealing with owner/operators and Alman is no different. I had a very tricky tree trim on a 60 year old pine in my front yard. Power lines on one side and my house on the other so only a 25ft wide drop zone. Bottom line up front is he's a great guy, keep reading if you want details. Alman was on site for the entire time which was greatly appreciated. I knew I needed a 1. Certified arborist (which he is) and 2. A licensed, bonded insured company which they are. He checked all the boxes, came in competitively priced and did the work on very short notice. My tree looks great, the yard looked better than before they came, and I know who my tree guy is moving forward. Anthony and the Arbor Task were amazingly responsive and did fantastic work taking care of two trees on our property. First was trimming an overgrown ficus needing thinning and shaping as well as clearance from power lines for our main electrical panel upgrade. Second was removal of a paperbark tree up close to the house. Upon removal and stump grinding Anthony and team left the jobsite clean and as if the tree was never there. Wow such an amazing service. I called them for an estimate and they were very responsive and puntual. Reasonably priced well it a fantastic deal. On the day of the service they arrived on time started the job and were done in a few hours. My tree was overgrown and in desperate need for a pruning. So this review is long over due. Let me start by saying these guys are amazing! The owner called me right away and was able to give me a ball park and schedule for that same week. He and his team came out in October to do a giant stump removal in my back yard and made quick work of it. They have a giant remote control stump remover that he controls like a tonka truck! I've used Arbor Task a few times around my yard. I had the blessing and curse of buying a house with massive, decades old eucalyptus trees. Alman is honest, knowledgeable, hardworking, and his prices are competitive. His team was polite, respectful, and appreciative of the work. Last time I used them they worked all day in the blistering heat. These guys are amazing! I first met with Jr. who gave me a fair quote. Jr. knows his stuff and was extremely personable. I appreciated the knowledge he provided. We were in need of a complete take down of our enormous and old Ficus tree. The branches needed to be severely trimmed down and we needed stump grinding. We scheduled them for a 4/11 Ficus tree removal, however, I made sure I did my do diligence with SDGE/DIG Alert. I was in contact with the owner Alman Grant. This tree service company provided the cheapest quote compared to other 4-5 star companies. I received quotes for the same front yard tree: $550, $450... and Arbor said $250?? I didn't believe it. I have used an arborist for many years to take care of my trees. When door-to-door tree trimming solicitors come, I usually don't discuss work with them because I have been satisfied with my arborist. When Wayne came to the door I was hesitant to talk to him but I did. It didn't take long to know that he knew what he was talking about and I liked his proposal of what to trim and lace. I usually always get multiple estimates, but based on past experience the estimate was reasonable so I didn't ask for a senior discount! I took the estimate and more importantly the license and insurance information to verify- which I did. Wayne brought the job foreman, David, by the day before the job was to start and he went over the details with David. On the day of the job they were on time and took care in moving breakable items below the trees. The crew worked very well together and knew what they were doing. At one point they asked my opinion on changing slightly what was planned. I agreed that once some of the branches were already cut down it was easier to picture the change they were recommending and went with it. In the end, all the trimmings were hauled away including the branches that had fallen over the embankment and it was swept clean.
