Charles came out and gave a very competitive quote. He was very communicative, they were able to do the work within a week. Four guys came out and beautifully trimmed a huge ficus, took out another large tree including stump grinding and trimmed/cleaned some large birds of paradise. This tree removal project was for my mother in law- not knowing the area or having any connections I looked to yelp. After a few quotes and checking in with my mother in law; she finally chose Charles Tree Service for the following reasons- he had the Triple BBB on his card, licensed and insured and his quote very competitive. My experience with Charles the owner first; we walked the brush/forest of trees to remove. He walked me through the process from beginning to end; first he shared they could start in the morning; two he had all the machines; three it be a his crew with a lead man named Forrest. They began at 9am and were done by 1pm. The quality of work is important- all workers were in the same color shirt; they were respectful and all worked together to clear out the forest. They quickly removed all palm fronds and seed pods and ground them through their wood chipper. We repeated our previous job from 4 years ago. The trees had put on a lot of timber and we trimmed quite severely. The quote was prompt and the job scheduled quickly and done on time. The price was markedly higher but since I did not another bid I cannot state it was too high, given the large inflation and that the trees were bigger. I feel it was done properly. Have two large palm trees in my front yard I desperately needed trimmed, I used to have a different guy do it but every year they kept charging me more and more until it got kind of out of hand. I came across Charles Tree Service and figured I would give them a call for a quote. I called and Charles texted me back immediately, said that he would be able to swing by later that afternoon to take a look and offer a quote. Quote came back quite a bit less than what I was paying the previous guy (In retrospect I might have been getting a fleeced a bit, but I had worked with the previous guy for years). They called me the next day saying they would be available to come by, they trimmed the trees, shredded the debris, and cleaned the yard. I imagine the whole thing took less than an hour. Parking is always super troublesome in the area but they were able to make it work with their trucks. I also met Charles and he was super polite.
